It's Waffle House. It's exactly as you expect when you go to any Waffle House around the country. DELICIOUS. southern hospitality, everyone is incredibly nice. Service is perfect. Yes I sat at the bar so you have more people checking in on you, but even when you have a table they are always checking in. The hash brown, the oh so good hash browns are some of the best you'll find around. I'll make one more stop here before heading back home. read more

Oh, Waffle House. A southern institution covered in grease, with a layer of dirt, and a side of hash browns. My son actually requested we go here, so we went. I got a hash brown bowl and he got waffles. Every bite was eaten. Listen, if you know what you're getting yourself into, it's pretty good (for what it is). Are you going to get the meal of a lifetime? No. Are they going to screw up your order? Highly probable--but they'll fix it. It's a good place to people watch at any hour of the day. Like I'm not sure how hard it is! But I go in around 1:30pm while the restaurant was 80% empty and asked for 2 sausage egg and cheese biscuits! It came out to $8 I paid they also didn't have biscuits so I settled for toast. After getting to my office I open my Togo box. It's only 2 sausages with nothingggg else on them as seen in the picture below! Like the server acted like she didn't want to take an order and how do you let it get to this point and it hasn't been doubled checked. Lack of effort from the whole team. Come on do better.... I have eaten at dozens of waffle house's over the years, but I almost never remember to check in as I am just there to relax and eat breakfast no matter what time of day or night it is. I am not a huge fan of the dinners or steaks, but I love breakfast at Waffle House. Now on to the specifics of this location. Parking is limited and you do have to enter via the gas station entrance which can be fun if you get here when there is traffic. Service has always been friendly here, and I have never had a bad experience. The food is always hot and done when you ordered it and the best thing about any Waffle House is you know when your food is being cooked if you are sitting at the bar, you can even watch how your food is handled. I enjoy getting a bacon, egg and cheese biscuit and adding gravy to to the top with a side of hash-browns (in a ring) Coffee is always good here, it is a mild roast, but at least it is consistent no matter where you are. The pies are normally good as well. The waffles to me are a little thin and don't offer much flavor, but that is me. As far as the gravy or chili goes always ask if it is fresh (best advise and this was provided to me by someone that works at a waffle house). read more

Eggs undercooked, toast was warm bread waffle, bacon and sausage were good. No one acknowledged us when we entered, place still had counters and tables that weren't cleaned, we didn't sit but stood neater the counter for a table when finally an older waitress washed it off and just started cleaning and throwing the dirt on me like I was in her way until she threw an ice cube towards me then she acknowledged me. We ordered a waffle a meal and a double hashbrown and we didn't even get the double hashbrown and they tried charging us for it. This is the Waffle House that introduced me to the joys of low-brow dining. At a young age (read: as soon as I was let loose in a car by myself) I learned that questionable cleanliness, densely black coffee, copious amounts of lard, golden fluffy waffles, and a jukebox that plays the full Garth Brooks body of work fills a certain late-night/early morning need like no other. There is something about the plastic menus cum placemats and sassy waitresses (because surely at Waffle House they're not worried about the politically correct 'servers'), starkly bright lighting and blue collar clientele that has set the stage for many a late night deep conversation (or, let's face it, hangover fix) that simply can't be found at a five-star venue. The beauty of Waffle House is that this experience rarely differs, whether it's your hometown favorite or a road trip pit stop states away. The roughly 3k of square footage seems to attract the same crowd, employ the same crew, and features that same short order station that is always sizzling. All you have to do is slide into a booth and settle in. Bottom line: 3 stars is exactly where Waffle House wants to be, more than that puts way too much expectation on this humble diner. Waffle House, located all over the country, typically near truck stops and gas stations, open 24/7. This location is no different minus the truck stops. The lights are always on to welcome your tired eyes in the middle of the night along your travels or perhaps you just crave that local greasy spoon to get your day started. This was our second visit to this location. First trip was great, this time around the service was extremely slow which cost them a star. The food has always been great and the staff always friendly! There was only one server and one cook on duty on a Thursday night after the county fair. Several customers came and left upon noticing still littered tables and such busy staff with only several tables seated. Store management should take note of the potential revenue lost and adjust staff accordingly. One other thing I noticed was how many people stop from the interstate to just use the restroom here. The gas station next door was closed but there were several others nearby that either had restrooms closed or the Waffle House restrooms are so spectacular you could find Howie Mandel utilizing them. This clean freak mom, loves greasy spoon Waffle Houses!! Nothing like a road trip through southern cities to get back to real people, real food, and real America. Toddle House omelet, crispy bacon, and hash browns scattered, smothered, and covered plus hot coffee, fuels the fire for me to move back South. We just moved here and decided to try our local Waffle House. I'm normally not a fan but we slept in and my four year old son wanted breakfast. Upon entering the establishment there was a sign (((NO GUNS))) allowed. Being that legally you can carry guns in Kentucky. My family and I no longer choose to eat at a place that thinks they are above the law & choose to unarm citizens. {breakfast taste better with 2nd amendment! on the table} When you do not allow people to arm themselves in your establishment you open your door up and invite criminals in hey look here is a sign we are not armed here roll out the welcome mat why don't you? The House is right off the interstate and main drag on Lagrange It's usually full sat and Sunday mornings but it usually only a small delay if you go then. Obviously the waffles are good and kids usually get chocolate chip ones. I like pecans in mine sometimes and they are always great. The menu is a bit confusing because there is a short one and a long one and usually you get the short one. I like the cheesesteak omelet but it's on the long one only. You can have some fun with the hash browns as they come in a variety of dressed states with cheese of peppers, onions etc and the call it by colorful names like smothered or covered or scattered. I encourage you to try the one with chili as it is really good. The serve a great steak and eggs with a T bone . Sit at the bar and watch the frenzy preparing the food for extra entertainment.
