Listen, is Burger Boy gourmet? And always consistent? No. Is Burger Boy there for you when you need it most? Yes. Open (almost) all the time... this late night spots provides us locals with the good ol' diner food you need during or after a late-night. The vibes are very retro and low-key. The staff are mostly super young and just making a buck, but usually helpful and efficient. I personally really like their Philly cheesesteak. Good amount of cheese, greasy but in an acceptable way. I have also had their ruben... it was really difficult to eat and fell apart in my hands. I'd skip that one. Overall, it's a local staple. I'm not mad at it.

Burger Boy is your classic dinner- open 24/7 and always serving breakfast. I've ate here a few times and often get breakfast or a burger. Today I was in the mood for chicken tenders and the awesome fries! My lunch mate got the breakfast wrap and really enjoy it. This is a classic if you like dinner food, need a late night bite!

This place isn't it. The place was packed but the line wasn't that long. After waiting 20 minutes and a couple ahead of me before I can order, the cashier announces that they're aren't taking anymore orders and that they'll be cleaning up and service will start again when third shift shows up. Crappy customer service by the way. Anyway, after waiting another 10 minutes, a few people from third shift shows up and start handing out orders that have been sitting. After another 15 minutes, they begin taking orders again....i ordered the old Louisville burger with chili cheese for fries. $25! No drink by the way. Tipped 5 to make it an even $30. I said eff, it, I got to see what the hype is about. I waited another 33 minutes for my food! When I tell you this food was surely not worth the wait, please believe me! Not only are they overpriced, the food is subpar. I truly don't get the appeal of this place or why it was packed. Maybe it's a local thing but if you're from out of town, stay clear.

This burger was exactly what I was looking for, small local, located in old Louisville, delicious seasoned fries and at a hole in the wall restaurant. I will be going back to try more. Super nice and pleasant service

Fun, 24/7 burger restaurant. Fast food with seating available. Obviously a fan favorite with local college students. I'm glad I got to check it out. My burger and fries were delicious! There was a wait though and a line most of our time there, even though it was nearing midnight. Popular place! Also liked the greasy spoon atmosphere with local pennants and political bumper stickers.

Typical greasy spoon. Not your typical omelette but it worked. Seemed slow business wise for a Sunday afternoon but is prob just a local spot.

Made a point to go by this diner after coming across it in a Yelp search and support of local. My first impression was "CLEAN" and that it might be a neighborhood cliche. Not many employees are needed for this timeless diner but they were both very welcoming. Just a few customers at 8:00 a.m. on a Friday. Menus are at the register which tells me you might order/pay there all at once. My order was "to-go". BYO wrap of sausage, eggs, and American cheese in a slightly grilled white tortilla. Since the cooking is done in plain view, I watched the sausage and eggs cooked to order and there was no skimping on the cheese. They have cinnamon rolls, cookies, and cakes on display that looked so delicious I had to buy a couple of the cinnamon rolls as well. The visit turned out to be a good one and won't be the last. They are open 24/7 with Breakfast anytime.

I don't expect an entire separate box of fries, but more than 10 would be nice- especially for $4! They were sure to tack on a $1 service charge as well, even though I was picking the food up. Burger Girl used to be a Louisville classic, but lately that's come to mean less "don't skip this if your life depends on it" and more "renowned for their awful food." As time goes on, I am honestly becoming more and more disappointed with Burger Girl. The point of a greasy spoon is to be cheap, quick, and filling, and Burger Girl misses on all of those fronts. For their prices I could go to a nicer restaurant with better food and a better experience. Honestly, as inflation continues to soar and quality continues to plummet, I find myself asking why I even bother going out, when I know I'll just be disappointed in the end. This might be the last straw for me, at least when it comes to Burger Girl. It just doesn't feel worth it anymore.

I mentioned how quick the service was and she did mention a Tuesday was a slow day. The seasoning on the fries are the best I've ever had! The burger was cooked to perfection with the buttery bun. Menu is one page but they absolutely nailed it. He ordered a Hemingway. It came in a beautiful copper coupe with a dehydrated orange slice. Classy, cool with a kick. We started with the Mexican Hot Cheese dip. It's not your typical queso -- this had chilis, onions, garlic, jalapeños as toppings and it was delicious. It was accompanied by house made chips. The cheese though... Hubs had fried catfish with the Nashville Hot option and I had a Caesar salad with fried chicken. Fried Nashville hot catfish verdict - Very good, very spicy, very crispy. Caesar with chicken...I stole a crouton off the top, "that garlic crouton was amazing, I could eat those like a snack." The salad itself was divine. The dressing is light, you can taste the green chilis without the spicy kick. I could eat this salad every day! Of course we had to try the Mexican crème brûlée. Super creamy, chocolatey with spice custard with a delicate brûlée sugar on top, garnished with fresh strawberries. Same restaurant, new flavors better service, awesome experience.

You order at the window, take a buzzer, get your drinks and find somewhere to sit. We (a party of 4) showed up around 11 on a Sunday morning and the line was already out the door. We had a hard time deciding what to order because everything we saw coming out before us looked just as delicious as the last. After the owner greeted us and gave a run down while in line, we settled on the shrimp and grits, steak and eggs, bread pudding french toast with a side of bacon, and a chicken and bacon croissant sandwich. (I wanted to order the biscuits and gravy weekend feature but they were already sold out.) The girl at the register was polite but very soft spoken so we had trouble hearing what she said. The coffee was the perfect temperature for drinking immediately without scalding yourself, and the different flavorings and types of milk/cream to choose from was a major plus! There were no complaints about any of our food except the steak was a bit under seasoned. I had the french toast, and, in my opinion, is enough for 2 people. There was a bit too much whipped buttercream for me but I was able to rake off majority, and the fruit that came on top was so fresh! The bacon was thick sliced and 3 of my 4 pieces were cooked perfectly to my liking - not too crispy, not too soft!
