Like homemade!

This was my 2nd or 3rd visit since it changed hands and it was just as satisfying as the last time. I met a friend for lunch, who had never been there before, she was charmed by the appealing decor and cozy welcoming feeling. I ordered chicken and dumplings this time and we both marveled over how much it looked like homemade. She said "that looks like what grandma used to make!". The chicken and dumplings lived up to their appearance, they were delicious. Well seasoned, with nice chunks of chicken and big fluffy dumplings. My friend got fish and fries and ate every bite. Service was fast, friendly and accurate. With tax and tip my lunch was $20. It was a fairly generous portion as well. I have only good things to say and will definitely return.

Came with a group of neighbors for a Saturday brunch- service was great and everyone enjoyed their food. I got the shrimp and grits- love the addition of bacon and mushrooms! The biscuits and gravy was good, everyone raved about the coffee- it's Bean! So excited to have this close by!

This food was Over cooked and food was not good but the people inside were very nice

This is such a quant and cute place. Very friendly. Amazing food! We love to support local spots.

Veggie omelette with hash browns and a biscuit.

I originally was hesitant to come here, however, after a group of us visited the Festival of Trees and Lights we ended up at the Parkway Diner for a late breakfast/lunch. I admit that it took a while to get our order taken but once it was taken our food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. My wife ordered the chicken sandwich after she found out the chicken salad was no longer available. I went with a veggie omelette with hash browns and a biscuit. They were very good. They also serve coffee from Bean Coffeehouse in Germantown. Bean is a favorite of mine and I found out that the owner of the Parkway Diner is the brother of the owner of Bean. If I have one complaint it's that the parking lot is small and street parking is not as plentiful in the neighborhood.

excellent service and food was amazing! The omelets are huge and there's a special omelet daily. The home fries are better than grandma's!

Great food and fun atmosphere! Glad they were able to reopen in this location once the Cottage Inn closed.

The service was good. The food was just so so and quite honestly overpriced won't be returning.

I had a beer, my wife had a espresso martini, and my son had an HR problem. My wife said the the espresso martini was really good. My son is newly 21 so he didn't really have much of an opinion about the HR problem.

Once you get through the door, there is a decent sized bar to your right. The rest of the place is seating at tables, both high and low. There is also a outside area in the back. If you have been to Atrium, the feel is very similar. From a beer standpoint, Monnik is in the B+ range, which means it is decent. I grabbed a flight and then a couple of samplers of seasonals after dinner. Very innovative and I would highly recommend trying some of the styles outside of the flagship. The peach grisette, a style you don't find often, was on point. Same with the New Year Old Ale and BA Minimator. Needless to say, I had my designated driver after these 11% and 12% brews. It is not a place people would travel across the country for, but the beer is better than most in the area. I usually stop at Atrium, which I would put in the A category, but I love exploring new places. Monnik did not disappoint. For food, we just grabbed a pretzel. My two cents. THe beer cheese is just okay. The Gouda fondue is the bomb. If I could have the spent grain bread or pretzel with just gouda fondue, I could eat this regularly.

Reservations are on a 60 day rolling basis It's an extremely small space. I would say the space holds 45-50-ish people max, but that's including the bar and eyeballing it, so I could be crazy wrong. First thing I want to get out of the way, everyone was SO hospitable. Colton was our server and he was absolutely AMAZING. So attentive, but not annoying, helpful with recommendations. Mediterranean has many definitions these days, but I would describe this is as from the Levant region, either Palenstian or Israeli. It's hard to describe the food here because it's all delicious. We started with the cauliflower. Crisp, so well seasoned. I'm not sure how I will proceed because everything was "so well seasoned." We ordered our respective dishes, but got the salatim first, which consists of a bottomless rotating tray of dishes, including pickles and olives, purple cabbage slaw, peppers, carrots, babaganoush, marinated beans, summer chershi, and feta & mint. All served with toasty pita. We all got wildly different dishes. I was torn between the salmon, lamb, and steak. I got the steak, which was crazy tender, but I was so impressed by them that I wish I had trusted them enough to get the lamb (which my server described as not overly gamey). One of my companions got the branzino, which was light and flaky, served as a whole fish. Another attendee got the chicken and was pleased. Someone else got the salmon (served with tomato stew, lemon, and crispy chickpeas), which I sampled, and it was AMAZING. If I go back, I will get the salmon. It was flaky, tender, bursting with flavor. The drinks were all so light, original, and complex. Honestly, there is no way you can go wrong with this menu. I would come back here again and again.

The Salatim was arguably better- the baba ghanoush was insanely good. The rice was just okay, but I asked for no butter so that could've impacted it. Phenomenal experience and I'd come back!
