Chili

Apps are $3 until 3. This includes bowls of chili or soup . Definitely home made and absolutely delicious . Nice serving size . Server was friendly and checked to see if we needed anything a lot. There was a small size crowd but it was still relatively quiet . On street parking may be an issue at times but we had no trouble finding a close spot .

Love this place! I don't go too often, but when I do, I'm never disappointed. I went for a lunch bite and a beer, and left very happy. I got the Bier Burger, which has a juicy burger, beer cheese, as a giant onion ring, with a side of grits-- YUM! plus an ice cold Italian Disco of course. Always helpful and friendly service and staff. It always feels welcoming and comfortable when you're in there, which I love. Highly recommend checking it out!

I didn't eat any food, only came in for the beer. I will say that they have a nice selection and the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about their beer

I think Monnik is one of the more unique breweries in town. The cafe-style seating on the street makes for a delightful experience. The inside feels more like a restaurant than a brewery. And on top of that, instead of outsourcing food or relying on pizza, they have a very diverse menu. I have been to Monnik several times, but this was my first time enjoying a meal. I ordered a beer to start, of course, along with a Bier Burger. It's a bit of sticker shock to pay $22 for a burger and fries, but my stomach was very happy. The beer was very solid and the burger was filling. I left feeling pretty satisfied and ready to face the day. I don't make it to this brewery enough because there are ones closer to my house, but I always have a nice time. While I do feel there are better breweries and certainly better restaurants, if you're looking for a place that satisfies a craving for good beer and good food, Monnik is a good choice.

This is my favorite brewery and Pub too. I have often attended for their best beers. Their foods are excellent. However, I have discovered that they had new chef and change the menu. I decided to give a try. I will definitely come back fo3 more menu items to try! I ordcred the fried chicken sandwich. It was top notched I ever had. It is not too spicy. It is just the right amount of spicy. The chicken was moist and the breading was good. I wish I could order different side but I was in mood for fries. I saw one item that I am curious to try was Koren Fries Cauliflower. Thats the reason I will come back to try it. Come and try this fabulous Chef Wes's menu!

Very dimly let inside, but gave a retro trendy vibe. Servers were really nice and the service was good. Unfortunately the food was very bland. Not much flavor at all. The burger tasted like plain hamburger meat and the fries were the same. The "pretzel" was more like a fluffy breadstick. Definitely could see the potential, but doubt I'd be back. Expensive for what it is too.

Went to Monnik for the first time last night and loved it. It was the perfect night to sit outside and enjoy some drinks and good food. They have about 10 tables outside kind of on the sidewalk next to them and you can order at the bar and get your food taken out to you. They have a ton of drink and food options on their menu so it was hard to decide what to get! I started off by trying their Spaghett which I've heard of and have been wanting to try. I got it with the Czech Lager, and it also had Aperol and lemon and was light, citrusy, and had just a hint of sweetness. The app I ordered came out very quickly - the Korean Fries Cauliflower. At first bite I really thought I could've been biting into an actual wing. It had a great mix of sweet and spiciness and the breading was perfectly soft with a tiny bit of crunch. I also got the Ahi Tuna with Kimchi which also had some cucumbers and mushrooms and a nice chili sauce that paired the ingredients together very well.

This place rocks! The food is phenomenal- over the course of three days, I ate my way through the menu and each thing was better than the last. The Kapelon is unexpectedly amazing, the chicken liver mousse is a must, the Bitterballen is too, and the beer is consistent top to bottom. My new go-to place in Louisville!

Big fan of the side options here including sides such as choux. Service has been good 4 out of my 5 visits to Monnik over a few years.

We had a great time getting to know the team and hearing how Jubilee Field came to be. I enjoyed an Aperol Spritz and sitting inside the bar. The tables, lighting, paint, and decor have been designed around Jubi, their adorable mascot. Even the bathrooms are fun! A food truck, My Three Sons, is a permanent truck at the spot so you have food options and don't need to leave. Several patio tables and literally a field to brainstorm events here - while we visited there was yoga and a DJ, plus I've seen promotions for trivia on their social pages. Follow them to keep updated. Family friendly, which is a plus for us. We have two teens and love introducing them to Louisville's local spots.

I have had several amazing things from the food truck, My Three Sons, and this time went with the nachos. Super loaded, with that classic ball-park nacho cheese. The chicken on top of the nachos was super tender and juicy. I highly recommend their fried fish. I love the ambiance, with hand-crafted pieces from artists on the walls, ceilings and bars. The owners are very sweet and community-centric. And they are regularly hosting events and vendor markets on the lawn. But don't forget, their bar is open for regular business, too. I really love the spicy marg.

The gardens and grounds are especially beautiful -- I can't imagine a better place for a wedding. The old growth trees provide plenty of shade, making even those hot summer weddings tolerable. With the wedding day scheduled for a Saturday, the bridal party and groomsmen were able to leave gowns, beauty products, suits, and overnight bags in our rooms the Friday before upon completing the rehearsal. This allowed for an easy situation to walk in to on the morning of the wedding as we prepared for the ceremony later that afternoon. The house was built in the mid 1800s and has been kept within the family since then. The current owners, Kim and Chaz, take great pride in the house and were extremely accommodating towards our group. They were on hand throughout Saturday to answer any questions. As a history nerd, I loved speaking with them more on the history of the house and the surrounding gardens (that were stunningly beautiful in September) as I snuck a cigarette on the back porch during the reception. When the bride & groom booked the venue, they were also able to secure accommodations for the bridal party. Considering that all five of the bridesmaids live over an hour away, it made for the perfect place to crash post reception. Our two flower girls had a ball exploring the house and spent the night as well with no problem. To top off the magical wedding weekend, Kim and Chaz prepared coffee and breakfast on Sunday morning for the guests that spent the night. I highly recommend considering Midlane Farm as a special events venue. The service we received certainly deserves five stars!

I've been here before for PIXY early last year, and everything was great!! The event went smoothly,…read moreeveryone was super nice, I had a great time!! However, when I went tonight for VIVIZ, it was different. I don't fully blame the venue because they sincerely did their best, but it was kind of rancid towards the end of the night. Me and my friend had VIP so after the show, we qualified to do Hi-Touch and then a group photo. They crowded us in a room in rows, however they began to push some people out of the room because there wasn't enough space in the room for everyone to go at the same time. That's fine, there were a lot of people so that's expected. However, when Hi-Touch began, the lady (black hair in a bun) acting as security was very rude. She gave us no directions on where to go or what to do, and when we sat there confused she began to yell at us "Go!! Keep the line moving!!" Before my turn, they hadn't mentioned that we couldn't film the Hi-Touch, so I figured I'd point my camera at my face while I walked by. However, when I got up there, a black man in dreads yelled, "Point the camera the other way!!" And then as I passed he went "God dang.." I apologized because I was unaware that we couldn't film, but it was just so shocking because last time everyone was so nice. There were some nice people, the lady who checked us in was super super sweet, the merch lady was very nice, so were the people serving drinks!! However the rest of security was just very sour. I'm unsure if these are your security or the group's security, but I felt I should make you aware of this incident since I wasn't the only one they were rude to. I had so much fun and will continue to come back regardless of this experience !!

There are also picnic tables out front. You get a faint whiff of the grill/smoker upon entering. Kylie was our bartender and she was fabulous - knowledgeable, friendly, and answered all of our questions with patience. Wife ordered a mango margarita and doesn't like a lot of tequila, so Kylie went half and gave her a shot on the side in case she wanted to add more. It was wonderful. I had a couple of beers. We started with the fried mushrooms, which aren't what you would expect. It's two large portobellos cut into chunks, battered, fried, and served with sun-dried tomato mayo. They were great. I then ordered a duck taco, brisket taco, and a side of Grippo Fries with smoked mayo. I'd never tried duck but that taco was smack-a-lackin'. The brisket taco was also good, and the fries were fantastic - sweet and spicy, fresh cut, and crispy. Wife ordered a pork belly slider and truffle fries. She enjoyed the slider but didn't care for the fries - just not her thing. The portions here are large. A side of fries will feed three people. We took a hefty portion of them home, as well as some of the mushrooms. We could've sat there at the bar and spent 3 hours socializing and enjoying a smattering of cocktails - love the setting. Look forward to going back and trying one of the burgers at some point.

I was going to a UofL women's basketball game and I FINALLY was able to make it here. I went a little overboard on the food, but everything sounded so good! I really loved the pork belly slider and the duck tacos. Mac and cheese balls always slap. Then there are the famous duck fat fries. The portion is substantial, I was thrilled with that. Flavor wise they did not change my life like I was hoping they would. Still ate them all. The locale is super unassuming from the street, but inside it is really cool, divey, and broody. The staff was super sweet and helped me get in and out efficiently so I could make it to the game. Would absolutely recommend, would absolutely come back, and would absolutely bring friends here.
