We were visiting from the west coast where Waffle House isn't a thing so we had to stop and give it a try. Honestly it was an underwhelming experience. It was a pretty crusty place. The food was very basic and not of quality ingredients. It was expensive for what you get. We all got eggs + toast + hash browns and sausage and it was +$50. The service was good but besides that I think I'd pass next time and find a more authentic diner. read more

Normally I would give this restaurant a much lower review but with Covid, they are trying and the guidelines are not kind to their business model. This is definitely not fast casual dining and never has been. People tend to be a bit older and not running at such a frenzied pace. More relaxed with a focus on good comfort food and leisurely converstation. Does not work under the model for Covid reopening. Every other table and every other chair at the counter is marked off and the spots that are open, have to be thoroughly cleaned after each patron leaves and before the next can be seated. In the pandemic, this is the way it has to be along with the patrons wearing masks. This means the table do not turn as much so there are fewer opportunities to dine. Clients are generally not rushed and that's part of the appeal of the chain. On my way home from Atlanta, stopped off for dinner. Three couples ahead of me and surveying the dining room, there were going to be no clear tables in the immediate future. After five minutes, I concluded that it was going to be a minimum of 30 minutes before I would be seated. Therefore I left. In general, I like Waffle House but something in the business model is going to have to change or somehow and hopefully, we return to a sense of normalcy and develop a vaccine fairly quickly read more

What's not to like about Waffle House? Good food, friendly service, and reasonable prices. This location has all of that and next time I'm in the area I'd gladly go back. I had the cheesesteak hash brown bowl and it was wonderful. I added bacon, jalapeños, and fried onions and it made it even better. My wife had a burger melt on Texas toast and she loved it. I sat at that counter about 30 mins 3 waitresses walking around never offered me a drink or silverware. The cook finally turns around and asked me what I wanted I told him service. Then I tried to order pork chops only for him to say they were all out. Im not going to say that it was racist but it sure as hell felt like it. Tiffany was an associate who was publicly rude to us and in front of our peers, the statement that she made was "if we would wait, we would have a clean area."
