Lovely country cafe with good food, excellent coffee, friendly staff, and Christian music in the background. I had the Spinach and Feta quiche and cranberry orange muffin, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The Christian music in the background was a balm to my soul. A great start to my day!

Coffee is great, staff are super nice, food was good but a bit small if you're wanting a meal. The vibe in the cafe is relaxed and has multiple seating options from couches to tables. They have sweets to and baked goods. If they beefed up the sandwich portions I'd be a bigger fan. I dig the place and we will be back for coffee for sure.

Yum yum yum!!! Traveler here who was looking for breakfast options after leaving an airbnb in Mount Holly. Conveniently close/short drive to the highway too. The staff are so friendly, and I love the wooden theme all around, and best of all the food is yum-my!! We got the mini donuts (fried fresh to order - it was a restorative experience watching my batch get made!) and a bacon egg cheese on a wrap (tip - they can also do on a croissant or on a bagel) and it was perfection. We especially loved that the wrap was pressed in a panini machine - so that it was slightly crispy outside but most of all, retained the warmth longer as we ate ours slowly on the drive to our next destination. Again, we are passerbys but it we are back in the area we will definitely stop by a second time!

I grabbed a bite here after hiking Crowder's Mountain. Fairly stereotypical close to the border of South Carolina so I was welcomed with Christian music & southern accents. The service was good, & quick. Plus I'd you check in with Yelp you can get a free brownie! I opted for the white chocolate pumpkin mocha which was decent, but nothing over the top amazing. My panini was good too, & I like that you can do pasta salad as a side, that's different. The brownie was noting special but I can't complain because it was free. All in all I spent about $20.

The service was great. Really cute cafe and it isn't over priced the food was great as well! I would definitely be back

I usually go to Big Red's for lunch but I always leave with a coffee and a mini donuts. Staff are friendly & prompt, which I appreciate. I feel like I never have to wait long after ordering. The frappes are delicious & the donuts specials change weekly, which are worth a weekly visit. The chicken salad sandwich croissant is amazing & flavorful & the turkey grinder is very satisfying. If you're looking for breakfast the bagels decent but the Belgian waffles are really tasty. You have the option of bar seating, tables, booth or a couch plus a couple of outdoor seating options. Overall it's a wonderful little cafe for lunch & treats!

What a fun spot! You'll find a homey vibe at this locally owned lunch, brunch, ice cream, coffee & tea, doughnut restaurant. Get your fresh, made to order mini doughnuts here! Priced: 5 for $3, 9 for $5, 16 for $8, 35 for $16. Flavors include vanilla, chocolate, cinnamon sugar, marshmallow, sprinkle and powder sugar. In addition to doughnuts and ice cream, they have a nice selection of sandwiches, 3 salads, breakfast served all day, to - go dinners for four and a large selection of hot drinks. Available for purchase are a small variety of local products such as honey and elderberry syrup.

Amazinggggggg!!! We loved this cute little shop so much. The panini was so good and perfectly made. The coffee we had was a big hit with us. My favorite was the mini donuts omg!!! We will be returning. The customer service was perfectly top notch, especially when the owner herself greeted us and made us feel so confotorble. Truly a gem of a place to go to when in kings mountain.

Yuminess: 4/10 Allergy Safety: 5/10…read morePrice: 5/10 Atmosphere: 8/10 Service: 7/10 Overall: The best part of this place is its cute, relaxed atmosphere with a retro vibe -- definitely a place I wouldn't mind hanging out in for a bit. Unfortunately, the coffee and ice cream didn't hit the spot and tasted off, even though they were on the higher end of the typical price range. There wasn't a great range of allergy-friendly options aside from alternative milk for the coffee, and staff were cordial. Not somewhere I'd return personally, but perhaps I just ordered the wrong things. In-depth: Starting with the best part, the atmosphere is a cute, cartoony retro vibe that's a great spot to hang out with friends in. If nothing else, they 100% got the interior design down here! Sadly, the food didn't live up to my expectations. The mocha latte with almond milk tasted like there was no milk or mocha in it. It was incredibly strong, which I don't always mind, but the coffee itself wasn't the best either. I only drank about half of it. Then the ice cream... I really wanted to love it. I tasted several and none I fancied, so I went with the safe bet of a chocolate PB cup ice cream in a PB cup cone. The overall flavor was ok, but I've never had peanut butter that salty. If I wasn't out with friends, I'm not convinced I would've finished it. Additionally, they didn't appear to have many allergy-friendly options, with the only thing I saw being alternative milks for coffee. The price point was a bit high for the flavor, in my opinion. One scoop of ice cream in a special cone was $7, and a mocha with almond milk was $8. I'm willing to pay this when the flavor is there, but I was disappointed here. Last up, service! When I went, there were two employees; the woman was very sweet and nice, but the man appeared somewhat annoyed, but he could have just been tired. Unfortunately, we did run into the issue of one of our orders being forgotten, and we waited a while to get it. However, they apologized and fixed it promptly when we asked about it. Overall, I wouldn't return here, but perhaps I just ordered the wrong things as I know some locals love this spot.

This morning at 10:30, the place was quite busy with nearly every table holding up someone working on their laptop. Still, it was quiet enough for Mrs. K. and I to enjoy our coffees before getting back onto the road. I've finally figured out my order, a "tall blonde with a small splash of cream" and that worked out well today. Mrs. K. enjoyed her tall latte. The lemon cake was awful - too much sugar and the lemon tasted like fake lemon extract. I would not have that again. The place was clean (and warm because it was cold this day). There was TVs showing the news and piped through the ceiling speakers. Everything sounded really good, but I was really hungry so a biscuit sandwich wasn't going to do. I got the Breakfast Platter (biscuit, two eggs *no extra charge for the shortage*, bacon, and grits with a large coffee). The biscuit was exceptional, almost as good as our Maple Street Biscuit Company biscuits. I didn't eat all my eggs as they had gotten cold quickly. The bacon and grits were really good. I also picked up some doggie biscuits for my dog. She absolutely loved them.
