This is the sweetest hometown place to stop for breakfast. The people are so nice. Breakfast was your simple home cooked style. Loved it.

Whoa. Maybe one of the better breakfast's I've ever had and that's saying a lot for me -- I love…read morebreakfast. We got the brunch board that had chocolate chip pancakes, Belgium waffles, pancakes with strawberries and French toast. Just wow. So, so good. Very cool place. Great service.

Second visit to the kitchen, and with food this good, there will definitely be more in the future!…read moreWe visited on a very cold morning, and orders are placed outside on the porch before entering. That's fine in normal cold weather, but at 22 degrees the overhead heaters just don't quite cut it. I think this part of the experience could use a little revision. My wife had pancakes with vanilla syrup and sausage. I ordered the classic breakfast with eggs, grits, sausage, and toast. Everything was very flavorful. My only complaint was that my food was lukewarm. It seemed like my food may have been finished and sat for a few minutes while my wife's pancakes were completed. On a cold morning, I would have preferred a hotter meal, the grits weren't warm enough to melt the butter, and the toast was cold, so I didn't even attempt to butter it. That said, even with the temperature issue, the food was still very tasty, and given how cold it was outside, I'm willing to let it slide. Everything arrived quickly, and the restaurant itself is very quaint, set in an old home that is very clean. On our first visit, they offered chocolate chip cookies to go, and they were excellent! They didn't have any this time, but we'll be back again to try our luck. To those about to nosh, I salute you!!
