Solid 5 love the concept because 35 years ago in Rathdrum, id i use to have the special Ed class from the high school come to one of my restaurant to learn basic food handling skills and also running a business , it was my most gradifying time in business, This is a small but cute little operation and Belmont community should be proud. Great food, i always grade the cooks on presentation and basic EGG prep skills. A perfect over easy you learned well chef. They got a well deserved Good Morning America feature. This will be my new goto, love to see my fellow eletes follow suit. Fresh menu made daily. They a lot of competition near by, and as I explore new places i will use Cherubs Cafe as a bench mark. My 13th year moving closer as a Elite, this is the biggest endorsement i have ever done. This group of Special Needs young people have earned this. Bob M. read more

I didn't realize the community service this restaurant offers until I arrived. When I read the info I was pleasantly surprised. I had great service throughout and the food was solid. My only complaint was the bathrooms, they looked like they hadn't been cleaned all day. Otherwise I had an enjoyable time. read more

The food was good and the staff was friendly. We were in and out quickly for a Saturday brunch time slot. I will return!

Excellent food. A+ customer service. Cutely decorate. I love that they donate special needs. Will gladly visit again

A fantastic breakfast place. Alisa very much enjoyed her English muffin breakfast sandwich, and she loved her grits. I had the traditional breakfast, and it too was wonderful. Eggs over easy were excellent. The breakfast sausage was tasty great, and the potato casserole was outstanding. We will be back! read more

Lunch anyone? If you're hankering for a good lunch in a quaint little local shop in Belmont, NC, Cherubs Vafe is the shop for you. The friendly staff was attentive. I ordered the reunion sandwich with chips, my sister ordered the Maria--chicken salad with melted cheese on wheat toast with a side of broccoli salad. My reubin was on point, and my sister enjoyed her sandwhich as well. For dessert, we shared a pecan tart with ice cream--yum. Not only is the food good, but this small shop also supports and hires persons with disabilities. Stop in for a lunch sandwich or perhaps breakfast, you'll be happy you did! read more

Cherubs Cafe - Rubin on rye with chips and S pickle. - Cafes Near Me - Belmont, North Carolina

We stopped in today for Breakfast the Ambiance is the only reason they received 2 stars I'm thinking they are closely associated with Holy Angels a disability services and support organization Super cute inside Now let's talk about that breakfast I got the classic 2 eggs scrambled lite, bacon, potatoes, and dry toast; pretty simple. Well my eggs were not scrambled lite and were dry how? The bacon was soooo thin I couldn't taste it NO LIE and you could actually see thru it and it crumbled at the touch the toast was prefect and the potatoes were actually a casserole and they were good. I'm sure I will never ever do breakfast here again. Maybe I'll try lunch the menu was pretty basic. So not sure if it's worth the drive read more

One of the best Reubens I've ever had. The toasted bread wasn't soggy like most. The potato salad was like my mom's so it was definitely a winner. Friendly atmosphere and great service. And it was also nice to know the profits go to charity. read more

So good! Yummy good and great staff. Met here when a friend was leaving the whitewater center. Highly recommend

So great!!! They sell a really nice big coffee cup that is perfect! Also... Bacon! And a dash of joy

If you find yourself in Belmont for lunch- this is the spot! Nestled in the downtown area with plenty of shops around. This place has a great menu- something for everyone & their online ordering is made simple and convenient! I ordered online and my order was ready within 15 minutes. They have breakfast, lunch, even sweet treats (ice cream with all the topping choices & cookies). The inside has plenty of tables- there's even a couple patio tables for nice weather. Service here was top notch! Would come back for that alone. Prices in my opinion were good as well. I ordered a scoop of their chicken salad (which came with pita bread) as well as a Reuben sandwich with a side salad. Chicken salad was delicious! Creamy but not over the top. This one has pecans if that's your jam. The Reuben was decent but would have been better if the sauerkraut didn't over power the whole sandwich! When I think of a Reuben I picture a good amount of meat, this one barely had any. A few sad slices- my only complaint. Pro tip: if you get a salad try the raspberry vinaigrette! Yummy. It has a thicker consistency almost jammy like. It was tart and sweet but not too much. read more

Cherubs Cafe is cute, comfortable and contributes to a worthy cause. Plus the food and service is great! I had a grilled Pimento Cheese sandwich with a cup of Tomato Basil Soup. The staff person informed me that the Pimento Cheese was made in-house and recommended the "Spicy" blend to go best with my soup. She was spot on! Both were delicious in their own right, but together were perfection! My only complaint is that I was too full after finishing to enjoy any of the luscious sounding desserts. Next time there (and there WILL be a next time!) I may start with dessert first read more

Cherubs is my favorite breakfast spot in Belmont. All the selections are delicious from quiche, egg wraps, scrambled, best grits anywhere and they have livermush! Big ole blueberry muffin and a cup of coffee. Special, hard-working staff that always greet you with a smile. A great way to support Holy Angels and the work they do in our community. read more

Had a nice breakfast place was clean and service was good I would stop by again If I am in the area.

I'm so happy I got to stop into Cherub Cafe and experience the great things that are happening here. The Cherub Cafe supports individuals with disabilities and gives them opportunity to work and build their skills. It is ran by the Holy Angels which is a nonprofit organization. I love the work they are doing here. During my visit I decided to give the chicken salad sandwich a try on a croissant with the pasta salad. The chicken salad was a good consistency and didn't have too much mayo. There are pecans in the chicken salad. I felt like the croissant wasn't the freshest. The pasta salad was a cream base and had good flavor. Cherub Cafe is currently closed due to Covid 19 but I can't wait til they reopen. The worst chicken salad in my 71 years Husband and I could not eat NOT SOUTHERN AT ALL! I attempted to repair the potato salad but no help either Threw away two pounds of each Why it's popular at all is beyond my southern brain read more

Cobb salad was great. What an awesome little gem in the middle of town. Can't wait to go back.

Certainly appreciate what they are doing for the community. The service was excellent. It just wasn't what we were expecting. You walk up to a counter to order your food and they bring it out to you. Similar to a fast food restaurant. The menu was somewhat limited. However, the food was pretty darn tasty. The breakfast sandwich hit the spot! If you're looking for a quiet, romantic breakfast spot, this definitely is not the place. If you're looking for a pretty good quick bite, you've found it. read more

Clean restaurant. Polite employees. Quality food. This pretty well sums up my experience of this restaurant, and I will definitely be back when I'm in the area... Might even make a special trip! I enjoyed the club sandwich. The turkey, ham and bacon all have distinctively delicious flavors and we're all in an excellent quality. I'm very pleased with my visit! read more

Cherubs Cafe is a place with a feel-good story. They are an outreach program with Holy Angels that employs people with developmental disabilities who may otherwise have trouble finding jobs in a traditional setting. Kudos for that amazingness! The great news is the food is truly yummy! They are only open until 3pm so what you get is lunch fare: salads, sandwiches and wraps. There are also desserts and milkshakes. We tried the chicken salad croissant, the club sandwich and the California Wrap. My mom loved her wrap, the chicken was fresh and it was so big she had to take half home. My chicken salad croissant was good, but I prefer a more savory salad (with no fruit) so this I probably wouldn't get again. My daughter got the club sandwich and it was both delicious and beautiful. I went there for the sake of the mission, but found the food delicious. I'll be back! read more

This was a great lunch spot with a wide variety of sandwiches, wraps and other quick and comforting options. I got the Woodrow, a sandwich that had apples, bacon, cheddar, and a cranberry raisin sauce -- a surprising combo, but it totally worked. The staff was friendly and the food came out quickly. Cherubs, is dare I say, heavenly. It is indeed a happy place as its big colorful interior sign indicates. The dining area is nostalgic, homey and comfortable. The service is friendly and attentive. The food is fabulous. I had the Woodrow, a unique sandwich consisting of sliced apples, crispy bacon, sliced cheddar, craisin dressing and perfectly buttered and toasted sourdough bread. It was excellent. Initially afraid it would be too sweet, the black bean salad balanced it out. Others in my party ordered the turkey wrap with avocado, and the chicken salad with the delicious julienne carrot salad. Everything was great. Save yourself some time, just order anything. They also serve what appears to be a great breakfast, I plan to be back for that soon. In the meantime it is a Gotta Try! read more

Overall AMAZING!! I would say the food gives simple southern vibes but made with love. The potatoes are a must! The best I've ever had! It was hard not to order everything after seeing other guests food! Not only was the food top notch but the service and staff are super duper friendly. I noticed most the staff were handicapped in some way. Which made me look into the background of their mission here. It warmed my heart figuring out this place supports and gives the Holy Angels opportunities. read more
