Not really a Waffle House person (Prefer Huddle House) but to my surprise this one actually impressed me . The food was pretty good , grits were the best (not runny, sour or hard) . I stop at the Waffle House at least twice a month, but tonight was something special! Our meals were cooked to perfection! The restaurant was so clean and spotless! Literally HATE to give one star because it's actually a great place with great food IF you DON'T have to deal with Delilah. I wouldn't even leave this review if I hadn't had to tolerate her on several occasions. She is probably the worst waitress that I've ever encountered. She has a horrible attitude and "forgets" your food because she says that she "got busy." Even though she served everyone else at your table. It's as if she picks and chooses who to be nice to. She has an entitled attitude that is beyond offensive. As if she's doing us a favor by being there. Sue is absolutely amazing, friendly, kind and nice to everyone. The cook is amazing! It's really sad how one bad apple can spoil the whole bunch but I'm going to have to recommend that if you walk in and realize that she's your waitress, just walk out and try the one on the other side of Johnson City. That's what we're doing from now on. And there's a lot of us. Word of mouth goes a long way in our community and this community is fed up with her and her attitude. read more

Easy to find along N. Roan street, you can enter the parking lot either off Roan or by turning at the intersection just before. There is plenty of parking, with handicapped spaces at the front of the building. Be aware the entrance is halfway down the side of the building, so there are several parking spaces closer to the door than the handicapped spaces. Inside it's like any other Waffle House. Seating is mostly booths. The restaurant is clean, and the staff clears tables quickly. The restaurant was full when we arrived, but we only had to wait maybe three minutes before a booth opened up and was cleaned. The waitress took our drink order immediately and returned with the drinks in about a minute. We wanted a little more time to decide on our order. I noticed the waitress watching us and she came over as soon as we were ready. Our food came out in less than five minutes. The eggs were cooked as ordered. The hash browns were excellent although one order appeared to just have the onions added without cooking. Not terrible, but they were supposed to be cooked with the hash browns. The other order was correct. The sausage was ok, but the bacon was very good. The waffle was also very good. Typical of any Waffle House, this location has good food and great service no matter what time you go. read more

Open 24-7? Check. Consistent food and service? Check. Affordable? Check. Ok, so Waffle House doesn't really stand out. It does nothing well, but it doesn't have faults either, as long as you go in knowing full well it's a diner that's not meant to be fancy nor do they pretend to be. The focus of Waffle House is just the food only. Sure some locations the staff are overly nice, others they are suspiciously confused seeing an Asian person at 3:12am all my myself ordering a giant plate of food and waffles and grits and all that good stuff. Oh that Asian person I was referring to would be me. But in the end, I am truly grateful that Waffle House exist. They always fulfill a craving, and the prices are great! Best part of all is you get to watch them make your food. Yeah yeah, there's nothing exciting about watching somebody make eggs, bacon and toast... but if you're wandering the streets with the munchies at odd hours of the night, trust me. I thought that this place was decent until what I witnessed tonight. A man, more like a kid, comes in and asks if he can sit in and asks if he can warm up. The manager tells the man that he can. Then after like 5 or 10 minutes, they asked him to leave. The man clearly wasn't ready but it was almost like they made a mockery out of him just because he was homeless. read more

As much as I'm a fan of eating at wonderful restaurants like Tupelo Honey I'm also guilty of showing up at the Waffle House in the middle of the night. And no, I'm never drunk. This Waffle House has some of the best service and friendly as staff that we've experienced and that's having been too probably a hundred of them in the last 10 years across the United States. Hopefully you experienced the same southern hospitality and service we did. With that said we all know the Waffle House has below-average food but who could complain about the price? There's no better place where you can get such an inexpensive meal at least at breakfast or late at night when breakfast is good again. I wouldn't touch the lunch or dinner but there's nothing wrong with a nice, crisp waffle and some crispy bacon. Order that here and you'll do just fine. read more

SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!! I worked at this location and they refused to pay me I've been waiting 2 months for my paycheck, I called the manager Kristen multiple times and she handed me a $10 bill for my troubles. They don't care that it's a pandemic and they aren't paying their employees. I've taken this concern to corporate and waiting for them to investigate. I wouldn't recommend this work place to anyone! read more

Seemed pretty hectic, but friendly waitress took order. Didn't dine in, so I can't say how the overall service would be. Other than that, the place looked somewhat clean. Saturday morning at the new waffle house I witnessed the server moving food from one plate to another with their bare hands. This was done repeatedly since the orders were continously being mixed up, they would then try to fix the plates by using their bare hands to move food from plate to plate. The floor behind the cook was covered with spilled food and he too had bare hands. I feel this is a case for the food handling authorities to follow up. read more

Waffle House at this location has the worst District Manager. This so-called Manager deliberately held on to the final pay check for over 2 months while lying to the employee that she mailed it. Instead, she held the check in her car until Waffle House had to re-issue a new check. This is an incompetent manager who prides herself with some petty power trip. UNLESS, Waffle House has a policy of holding pay check way over the 21 day legal pay date. I wonder.. read more
