We stopped in here to have breakfast while waiting for my dad to complete his morning rehab session at the SWLA VA Home. This placed was slammed, we didn't know if that was because of the convenient location just off I-10 or if it was the best breakfast option in Jennings. Lucky for us we had Ashley as our server, she was extremely friendly and very efficient and provided us with exceptional service while juggling a number of tables. The restaurant was pretty clean and organized considering how busy they were and the food quality exceeded our expectations and it all came at a reasonable price. This location provided us a great breakfast experience and they got us in and out in a timely manner - It's likely I'll return here when visiting my dad in the future... read more

We stopped here while on a road trip to FL. When we walked in they had every other table sectioned off. And the staff had on mask. However they had several people stand at the entrance waiting on a table. They are allowing everyone to stand and wait Inside on their tables. ******NONE of the customers !!! No one !!! No one had on a mask! I'm assuming it's not a requirement in LA. They also didn't have sanitizer at the door. But we immediately turned around and walked out! And made a to go order! read more

So happy that I checked Yelp this evening. I read that this place was clean and the staff was top self. Again - Yelp tells the truth! I have enjoyed going to waffle houses all across the South. For what it's worth, this waffle house experience was one of the better dining experiences I can recall in a long time. I'm not saying it was the greatest food or mind blowing and that you have to drive from another state to visit, however, the staff should be acknowledged for being above board. I stopped by this waffle house on a drive from Houston to NOLA. The server was very nice, very thoughtful and very quick. We got in, order taken, food arrived promptly, and we're regularly engaged throughout. This sounds basic, but it was just better than my typical restaurant experiences. Everyone on the staff was above board. The cook was focused on his job, engaged with the other staff in a seemingly pleasant banter without being unproductive. The bus boy was working hard as well. I just felt it was a very unexpected, very pleasant experience and wanted to give credit. read more

So with the whole Covid 19 deal, we had to stop for dinner. This place opened its doors for us. Great service and great home cooked food

Didn't have a chance to experience the food bc right off the back service was terrible. Waited 10 mins for this woman to just remove the stuff off the dirty table then it took her another 5 minutes to slowly put stuff in the sink as she bi**ched about her previous night to a coworker.. granted I'm still standing there waiting for her to wipe the table oh and did I mention I'm 8 months pregnant swollen feet and all and she's still just taking her sweet time, she nor did any of her other employees acknowledged that we were even there. Soo now the table is finally wiped 15 minutes later and we're sitting there for about another 10 minutes without service or a simple "I'll be with you in a minute" we get nothing.. note they were not busy at all maybe 3 tables total and 4 employees were standing around doing nothing while only one was actually doing something "cashing out customers". WORST SERVICE EVER!!!! Soo yeah we decided to drive 25 minutes to lake Charles Waffle House and omg soooooo much better!! Start to finish was a poor experience. Five minutes to get a cup of coffee which was empty the rest of the meal. Omelette was fine but hashbrowns weren't cooked how I ordered them and they along with the toast were cooked ten min before the omelette so both were stone cold. No silverware. No to go cup of coffee. Servers were complaining about the table that had just left during their meal because the food was incorrect and the service was poor- I'm wishing I had done the same thing. This Waffle House and Staff are just amazing. Very friendly, everyone said hello to us as we walked in. We had many options to choose from with a full menu available 24/7. I love the fact that you can see everyone who is preparing your food. You can hear and see them tell the cooks your order and watch the cook prepare it right there in-front of you instead of behind close doors. It is like a show! They have their own special way to say the food items you ordered and it is just fun for my whole family to watch them work. You never have to worry about if they have/haven't washed their hands after touching germ infested items like money and other stuff because it is all done right there in the front of the store. The servers are very polite and made my kids want to come back without even bribing them with a toy in their kids meals. Lol. My kids do get excited to get a paper hat when we stop in. Even with a packed store they worked together to get tables cleaned up after someone left and had us seated fast. Very clean store and the bathrooms looked and smelled very clean. I ordered the cheesesteak melt on Texas toast and a coffee. It was amazing. The coffee was great as well. I would stop in again just to get those items! read more
