It was our first time there since we were visiting from out of town so they gave us a few recommendations and we ordered our food. We then sat down at a table since it was self seating. We didn't get our waters until after our food was served which is fine I understand they get busy. The food didn't take too long. We ordered 3 dishes. The Down home, the banana nut, and an omelet with turkey sausage and veggies. Our server came to our table and served us 3 dishes. Which dish was which was not explained to us and we thought all our food was out already because after she served us she said "does everything look good" or something along those lines. The banana nut was obvious but we weren't sure what was the omelet or the down home because there was a small side of an omelet waffle which was just egg. We didn't know if any of the dishes came with a side of an egg omelet or if the dish was served as a mistake. I then bring the small omelet dish to our server. I asked what the item was or it was included in what we order and she looked at the dish and took it away and brought it back to the kitchen. She then took a look at our receipt and didn't really say anything or explained to us what the small side of egg waffle was. Didn't answer any of my questions and I never saw that small side of egg waffle again. Shortly after then our down home dish was served to us. It was just a confusing situation that I wish could've been handled better by communicating with us. As for the food, the pictures online are a bit misleading and on the expensive side for the quality. All the photos were taken right after it was served to us. I'd only order the omelet again. A bit lacking with the ingredients and needs sauce. The down home was too doughy for my liking and it's a mix of salty and sweet from the batter and ingredients. The banana nut it was very crispy and came with powdered sugar and a side of the glaze. I didn't taste much banana or saw any nuts on/in the waffle.

The first guy was complaining he was waiting already 30 mins for his 830 pickup order. I was told my order just came thru because I chose 9. Uh, 9 is the pickup not when I expected them to get the order. 40 mins later I came back and nobody acknowledged me for 10 mins. I asked someone and they said it still wasn't ready. Then someone a minute later asked me what I was waiting on and it was indeed ready and the first person just didn't check because I saw it there the whole time in the back counter. Ordered the waffle sandwich and it had zero taste and 2 strips of bacon that were severely undercooked. My daughter got the Classic with home fries and they were soggy, and the toaste wasn't toasted at all. My wife got the creme brulee French toast and was telling me it tasted like lemon. Yep, she bit into several lemon seeds as they didn't even take care not to get them in the food. Never again.

After wasting several minutes trying to understand the new RL Menu design. After mistakenly thinking, we needed to leave, because we misread the menu thinking Walts Shrimp was now 44.95. The waitress showed us another menu section where 10 shrimp were now, not 12 as has been for years, $16.95 with 2 sides. I'd rate it a 2/5 SIDE NOTE: This menu design, layout and presentation is in a very bad need of a rewrite and simplification . Just way to much crammed on it to read and understand. The 2 orders of extra cooked Broccoli, melted butter, Mash Potatoes and 10 really big Walt Shrimp. Potatoes were lukewarm, but very tasty. 3/5 Broccoli was done right 5/5 Ice Tea a little on the weaker light side (3/5) The reduce Walt Shrimp number 10 not 12, were large in size, properly cooked and not greasy/oil at all. However, there were 3 of the orders that were burnt. No offer of more biscuits was made. Overall a great little dine out.
