Clean and good and value service as expected. Understand they a short staffed during the pandemic . A perfect stop while traveling I-75.

    Empty restaurant with the sunshine.

Waffle House is like a fast food breakfast diner. When my husband and I grabbed dinner here a couple weeks ago (who doesn't like breakfast for dinner!?), we were the only ones in the establishment, along with three or four employees sitting around, waiting for people to walk in. We got the best service we'll probably ever get at a Waffle House because of that. We had a clean booth, someone pulled the shades shut to keep the blaring sun out of our face, and a sweet, older lady brought us our menus, took our orders, and moments later, brought our food to us. It was piping hot, fresh, and sooooo delicious! Nom, nom, nom. The only 'complaint' I can think of is that while our waitress was waiting on us to eat, she sat in another booth talking on the phone. Meh. Probably shouldn't have done that... even if no one else came in to eat. Bill came quick, we paid, and we were on our way. Easy peasy meal.

Thank you Hama for the recommendation of adding GRAVY to the hash brown bowl. It totally changed to a hometown breakfast in a bowl.

We love this waffle house! Fast friendly service! There is lots of turnover and never the same staff, but isn't a bad thing. Never a wait.

After leaving yet another distillery, the ladies in our group wanted to head to Georgetown for some shopping. But before the shopping could begin, we needed lunch. We had stopped at Fava's a few weeks earlier with another group of friends for breakfast, and it was excellent. With that great experience in mind, we decided to try Fava's again, this time for lunch. The décor is classic Old Town Kentucky--exactly the kind of place that brings back childhood memories of small-town restaurants. Charming, comfortable, and familiar. We seated ourselves and looked over the menu. I went with the chili cheese hot dog with fries. My wife and one of our friends chose the open-faced Reuben, and the last member of our group ordered the club sandwich. Every dish was excellent. The club sandwich was so large it required a to-go box. Before leaving, everyone except me ordered pie to go-- Fava's pies are legendary, at least to my wife and me. I skipped dessert this time and immediately regretted missing their ice cream options. We dropped the pies off in the car (it was cold enough outside to keep them safe), and then the ladies headed off to explore the shops of Georgetown. And I cannot leave out the wait staff, very attentive and friendly . This was my second visit to Fava's, and both times have been outstanding. I'm already looking forward to our next "shopping trip" to Georgetown so I can enjoy their food again--and this time, I won't miss out on the ice cream.

We sat mostly on the front patio with a table or two inside later in the evening. Everyone ordered their own food and drinks. Adam and his bar staff took great care of us. They got the first rounds of drinks taken care of then took food orders. The deviled eggs were popular, plentiful, and delicious. I got the fried chicken (again) with a side of real mashed potatoes and gravy. It was fantastic (again). I really should try something else sometime. But others did and I heard no complaints. They serve breakfast any time and a couple got omelettes and cleaned their plates, raving about the hashbrowns (no meat fat to cook, so vegetarian friendly). All the cocktails were good. New seasonal menu had just started and the Marmalade Sour got good reviews. They have a larger patio out back and an ample dining room. It's a great stop when in Georgetown. Pics from my last visit but still accurate.

Over the years we have travel a lot and spent a lot of time in Lexington, KY. One of my favorite…read moreeateries is Ramsay's Diner. Nestled just off Leestown Road in the vibrant Masterson Station neighborhood, Ramsey's Diner is much more than a casual eatery -- it's a go-to destination for Southern comfort with a creative twist. From the moment you step inside, the diner's welcoming charm and laid-back atmosphere set the tone for a truly enjoyable meal. Familiar friendly faces at the door and a buzz of diners chatting over hearty plates make it feel like a beloved local secret worth sharing. We begin our meal with appetizers that are generous in flavor and unmistakably Southern: * Fried Green Tomatoes: Crispy, tangy, and perfectly seasoned -- an ideal opener that dances between crisp exterior and tender interior. * Fried Banana Peppers: A playful crunch with a subtle heat that whets the appetite for bigger bites to come. * Chicken Noodle Soup (Soup of the Day): A comforting, soul-warming starter that tastes like it came straight from grandma's kitchen. Service here is as warm as the food: servers move with a welcoming attentiveness that makes you feel both valued and at ease. Ramsey's entrees are where this place truly shines, showcasing Southern comfort classics elevated with care: I had the Cajun Catfish Dinner: Perfectly seasoned and served with creamy sides, this dish is a standout favorite among regulars -- bold yet balanced. My wife went with the Buffalo Chicken Dinner, A beautiful marriage of heat and harmony; spicy but not overpowering, paired with mashed potatoes and Parmesan fried corn cob. Portions are generous without feeling excessive, and the diner's all-day breakfast offerings -- including classics like fully loaded plates of eggs, meats, and pancakes -- are consistently praised by many of our friends that live in the area. They also feature several decadent desserts that are always worth saving room for, and no visit is complete without dessert, and Ramsey's menu doesn't disappoint: I went with the Butterscotch Pie: A gooey, buttery slice that strikes the perfect balance of sweet richness. My wife had the Cheesecake with Strawberry Swirl: A luscious finish -- creamy, tangy, and beautifully bright. Another good option is the Brownie Pie with Ice Cream: Chocolatey and indulgent, this classic is elevated by its cool, velvety partner. While Ramsey's isn't a cocktail bar per se, their drink offerings -- from homestyle fountain sodas to thoughtfully selected beverages -- pair wonderfully with the menu's bold flavors. During special events like Lexington Restaurant Week, you'll even find inventive additions like a Maker's Peach Rosemary Sour that brings a refreshing, aromatic finish to a rich meal. The diner's ambience strikes a perfect balance between casual comfort and lively community spot. Big, bright windows let in natural light, and the enclosed patio offers a breezy alternative on pleasant days. Patrons frequently describe the staff as attentive, personable, and genuinely invested in your dining experience -- creating that rare sense of being treated more like a guest than a customer. The décor and vibe reflect the welcoming spirit of Masterson Station: relaxed, familiar, and unpretentious -- perfect for family dinners, casual date nights, or a comforting solo meal. The reputation and community presence here run deep -- from dedicated regulars who know their favorite booth to local fundraising efforts that reflect the diner's heart. The blend of remarkable comfort food, friendly service, and a down-home atmosphere makes Ramsey's more than a meal -- it's an experience that stays with you long after dessert is gone. We Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore authentic Southern flavors with a smile on the side.

The atmosphere is super cozy and we felt welcomed from our first steps in. We were warmly greeted by the hostess and we met Michaela who took fabulous care of us for the evening! We settled in to a couple of their specialty cocktails (midwinters night dream and cardamaro manhattans - yummy I'll say) and the Brussel Sprout starter. Let me say to come hungry because the portions are large but yummy. The sprouts are a meal all by themselves! But there's more! I had the porcini rubbed filet and Teresa had the cabbage confit. Both portions were sizable and while I know she loved her cabbage, I was in heaven with a perfectly prepared filet that just melted in my mouth. Plus the asparagus spears and the Okinawa sweet potato mash were perfect accompaniment! Sadly, there was so much goodness we ended up bringing some home and we'll have to come back for dessert and another menu sampling. All in all a very memorable experience and a great place for a birthday dinner! But we'll be back just because! Special closing shout out to Michaela for taking such great care of us.
