First-Time Visit & It Was Fantastic! This was my very first time visiting a Waffle House, and the Castle Rock, Colorado location did not disappoint! I stopped by around 7 PM, and everything was excellent. The waffles were light and perfectly cooked, the hash browns had that ideal crispy bite, the chicken sausage was full of flavor, and the eggs were cooked just right. Even the coffee was bold and delicious--exactly what I needed. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. I highly recommend this spot and will definitely be coming back! read more

I have been to several Waffle Houses over the years but this one is by far the best. We've been there twice the last few weeks and the cook and waitress are just the best. The cook always nails it and it always is hot! I feel bad I didn't get their names but I'll make sure that next time we go I'll get that information for everyone. read more

After seeing Cage The Elephant at Red Rocks, my husband and I were starving at 1 AM on our way home to Colorado Springs. It had been awhile since we hit Waffle House and saw the sign for this location in Castle Rock. Staff was awesome and all three of them were so funny and attentive. Also I cannot stop thinking about these grits. I don't know if I lucked out and they were exceptional because they were just made (I watched the manager just whip that butter brick in and holy moly my mouth was watering) or because I was really hungry, but this Waffle House is definitely going to be our late night concert spot now. read more

Love all the Waffle Houses! But this one had especially friendly service. I don't remember our waitress's name but she was friendly and funny and on it! Also the gentleman who was bussing the dining room kept everything spic and span. Will definitely come back to this location. read more

The food is what you expect. However, the bathroom at this particular location is not. I walked in and was utterly shocked. The bathroom is almost completely tiled and clean. I was expecting something dingy. It doesn't have any towels to dry your hands though. The staff are typically pretty upbeat and friendly. The food is like I said what you'd expect. read more

This is the only waffle I enjoy and the staff here make you feel like one big family. The waffle is dense, buttery and creamy without adding butter or syrup. It's even good cold hours later. I've been craving it ever since. I know people compare this chain to Denny's, and I think that's disrespectful. read more

My husband & I had never been to a Waffle House so I got him a gift card as one of his birthday gifts to try it out. I think this is probably the nicest Waffle House experience you could want just having driven by them in various states. It was very clean, the staff were extremely fast & nice, & the food was inexpensive but tasty. I got the classic waffle with a side of bacon & my husband got the All Star breakfast each with an orange juice. The famous waffles were satisfying in an Ego waffle of your childhood way. Everything would've earned this place a 5 star rating, until we went to pay. The Waffle House said they couldn't use our gift card so we ended up having to pay for the whole thing when it should've only cost us $11 with tip. The employee tried to help by calling corporate but with it being Saturday morning, no one answered. The staff & experience left nothing to be desired but we won't be eating with this company again if we can't even redeem our gift cards. read more

Eggshells in my eggs. They had huge egg shells in my eggs and I didn't know until I drove 20 min home to eat it. So nasty omg: plus it was like 18 bucks out the door after several miscellaneous charges just for a waffle and some eggs. Lol wild. Just go to McDonald's tbh. read more

HORRIBLE service and staff. My husband and I came in and were completely ignored by the staff. Then the staff sat 3 other families ahead of us before seating us down. When the waiter finally showed up with the menu after 25minutes of waiting, she said she would be back to take our order and never returned. Needs better management. read more

I gave it one star because there is nothing lower. What a discussing place. Very dirty and a greasy mess. The waiter which was a young person who left the building right in the middle of the meal. The service was horrible and the food was disgusting and greasy. Keep clear of this place. read more

Given one star for our server who was very friendly, and one star for location right behind our hotel. We entered and it appeared that they were all seated together over to the side like we were interrupted a meeting, and they were counting money and reviewing receipts. Ordered the patty melt and server asked me if I wanted onions on that. I said I did as that's pretty traditional for a patty melt. What I received was a grilled cheese sandwich with a beef patty in the middle - no onions. I called the server back and he apologized and disappeared and came back several minutes later with what appeared like a tablespoon of chopped grilled onions on a plate for me to add to my "grilled cheese" sandwich on my own. Very over-priced for not getting what you ordered ($6.99 ish). We paid and I was experiencing grit in my mouth like small pieces of sand while we drove away. Will not be back to this Waffle House. read more

First time ever at a Waffle House. Tasty big breakfast. Love the texture of the waffles. Would have given 5 stars but when I say it was freezing in there, it's an understatement. We went around 7am and it was so cold we could see our breath. Not kidding. Our server was Mama Kat (I think.. I could only see the right side of her name tag). She was a sweetheart. read more

I stop here almost every time I'm in the area because there isn't a Waffle House that close to where I live. It's ok but I don't expect spectacular here. The food was fast and no one minded my younger one pulled a chair up to the bar for her BFF Yoda. We had a shift change during our dinner which again was fine but I felt obligated to tip both servers. It is what it is I guess . read more

Just had a wonderful breakfast here! Perfectly cooked over-medium eggs, crispy hash browns, and sourdough toast. What made the breakfast more enjoyable was the staff. The service provided by Jakaila was attentive, made better by her pleasant demeanor and obvious pride in her work. This Waffle House with spic-n-span clean and everyone was busy at work taking care of the customers and the restaurant. The manager, Charles, came over to the table to make sure everything was OK and we were enjoying our breakfast. You could tell everyone took pride in this establishment and enjoyed their job. read more

I love Waffle House. I've spent more than my fair share of them throughout the country. God help ya if you have no other options than the Castle Rock Waffle House. Rude servers. (Alyssa seemed very sweet but we were stuck with Jeff who was over this shift about 2 years ago. Food was over cooked, unsure how a butter knife is going to cut the sole of a shoe they call "steak." Whatever you do, do not custom order. Don't even ask them to hold the toast. You'll get it anyway. And be prepared for about half of the order to be right. Best bet? When you can get a clean table (they'll let them sit dirty longer than most people will stay here) just tell them "surprise me." Maybe then you'll get edible food. Doubt it though tbh. read more

Ok, went to the Waffle House because you just need to get a good breakfast! I love the waffle house for breakfast and even a late night stop for breakfast. This is the place for that for sure. I had to text my daughter with a picture as she loves the Waffle House to! I ordered the waffle and eggs. It is cooked right in front of you if you dare to watch... the food was really good and we got all the fixins.... HaHa.. I always like to stop here for the servers and the food. It seems like they always have something to see and the food is good. I only wished we had a Waffle House near us in Anaheim CA. If so I would be going there a lot. I think most people would visit the Waffle House there also. read more

Just had breakfast here a few days ago- my standard cheese & eggs breakfast and a shared waffle with my husband, and it was great as usual. However, we were so impressed by the cleanliness of this Waffle House location. Other restaurants in CR have been lapsing in complying with Covid protocols lately, and we were so appreciative of being able to comfortably sit at freshly cleaned and sanitized tables. Plus, friendly staff who greet you right away and always serve up a great meal! read more

I was skeptical of this place to eat. Frankly we were on road trip and friends wanted breakfast. I just wanted a cup of tea and didn't realize I had space for food until I was served food. Waitress was friendly in a home town sorta way. We ordered the hash browns with all the fixins to share. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this. Really good. Ordered egg whites (no cheese) with toast and bacon. Downside- They need more juice options. I was able to get Apple juice but they were those miniature boxed one you put in kids lunch box. One box is a 'small"...so I ordered a "Large"= 2 small boxes. Overall I was quite happy with my meal. read more

Really rude racist staff! When my sister and I came in, staff did not acknowledge us and barely said a word the entire time. The waitress, Cathy, was talking about me and my sister to the cook and called us "b******." And of course she was wearing a military camo mask too so I just knew she was racist and judgemental because of the color of our skin. The cook hovered over me to "make sure I was leaving a tip." I over heard him say this to the waitress. Never coming back at this location. Unless you are white, you'll probably have a better experience. read more

First time to Waffle House and was blown away by their friendly service. After a night of staying up too late and drinking a bit too much this was just what the doctor ordered. We each ordered two All American Breakfasts which was basically one of everything on the menu. Neither of us finished, top that off with coffee, orange juice and we paid no more than $25. Very good price, we will be back! read more

I have to give Tonya a huge compliment. She had a jokingly sarcastic personality that only made our experience more enjoyable. Pros: Walking in it's a seat yourself and we got a booth at the end of the counter. Easy parking and if your staying at the La Quinta or any of the other immediate hotels, you can walk here. And the biggest pro is they are open 24/7. Absolutely love it. Tonya was phenomenal and next time we stop by, I want to make sure we get her. Cons: I can see how they can get real busy and crowded. The first two spots coming off the street are nearly impossible to navigate unless you have a motorcycle. Recommended? Hands down yes. If you can, ask for Tonya. I'm sure all staff are wonderful though. read more

Did you know Castle Rock is not only home to "a" Waffle House, but the nation's cleanest Waffle House? True story, this used to be just another freeway exit town with an outlet mall- but Waffle House dared open here and people were like "what are you thinking?" We have breakfast places. We don't have night clubs or late night bars so what drunk people are going to keep this place open? And Waffle House was like "listen up, they builden townhomes like crazy jus down the way" "that's divorced dad Sunday's". And so it was. Once just a freeway exit in an affordable bedroom community with resources for single parents- but now a clean Waffle House. Some said the nations cleanest. And that's when real estate prices started to soar. Here's a place that takes pride in its Waffle House, and divorced dad breakfasts can take place at any hour of the day no matter the urgency. If there's a heaven on earth, well- I bet there's a Waffle House just a half hour outside it. read more

Shameka like her patty melt. Kenn and Antanaysiah grit that their steaks were tender and cooked to perfection. The Cajun shrimp and lobster linguine was mouth watering goodness. I loved that the Alfredo sauce was made from scratch, The pork chop was juicy and tender; so Asante had no complaints. The salmon was flaky and sweet so Vince liked the veggies that was with it. The bbq bacon wrapped shrimp was devine and sooo good. Josh and Candice really enjoyed them. Jade loved the taste of the couscous with the shrimp. The fries were hot and on point with the garlic Parmesan. KJ said his chicken wings were seasoned with just the right amount of sauce, The salad was crispy and yummy. They loved the creaminess of the mash potatoes and the texture of the veggies. The place was cleaned, neatly decorated and the bathrooms were clean too. Oliver was simply amazing. As I have the past several times here, I went with the egg and carnitas tacos. I added a side of fresh fruit...both the eggs and fruit were very good. As the Benedict my wife loved is no longer on the menu, she had the avocado toast with eggs. She added a large size of the breakfast potatoes and was glad she did. While she liked the taste of the avocado toast, she was very disappointed in the small size of the portion. She wish she had more. One daughter had the Mardi Gras omelette for the first time. While she liked the flavor, the fact that the ham was a full slice (lunchmeat style), as opposed to chunks or cubes, was weird...and required cutting with a knife. The other daughter tried the quiche for the first time and loved it. It is one of the better quiches around. Coffee is very good as well. Service was fine for the most part.

The biggest downside for me is the pricing. Everything on the menu feels noticeably overpriced, especially considering there are several nearby Mexican food options within walking distance that offer better flavor and larger portions for less. While the restaurant is upscale and visually impressive, the customer shouldn't feel like they're subsidizing the cost of expensive real estate during their visit.

We have been customers at Hideaway for many, many years--probably since they opened--dining there…read morewith young kids, adults, elderly family members, dogs, etc., at times. It's been our casual and fun go-to spot for a great brunch, lunch, or dinner to enjoy time together or watch a game! We know and enjoy good food and hope it will always be around! The owners are wonderful, and the staff they hire reflect that. Beyond that, what really matters to us, at least, is great food--and Hideaway delivers every time. With the ever-growing Castle Rock food scene, we admit we've strayed from time to time depending on what we're looking for (fine dining, etc.), but we always come back to Hideaway when we want consistently good food, friendly staff, and welcoming owners. We've never had a bad meal. Unfortunately, that's hard to say about other comparable places in the area we have tried (but to each their own). Best onion rings we've tried anywhere (chicken tenders, fish tacos, burgers, sandwiches, salads, appetizers, the Hideaway Signature Pasta--the list goes on), but honestly, everything on the menu we've ordered has been delicious, and every time we go, it takes us a while to decide since everything is so good! Hideaway has become something of a standard we compare to other similar establishments, and we look forward to dining here in the years to come!

I also had salad and pistachio ice cream which were also very good. The servers were super nice and helpful as I ordered. I opted to sit outside since it was nice and breezy out but had to move inside due to rain. Even the bartender was helpful and engaged me in conversation. I would definitely return the next time I'm in the area.
