La Classique Combo

Must say! This spot is delicious. I had this at the Woodbury Commons and they also have a trailer that goes around. Absolutely delicious dessert. Every time I get a chance, I have to have it. Today I had La Classique Combo and didn't like it (look at my pictures for the proof). Highly suggest to try it when you are up here. Or you can locate the trailer on their trailer on social media.

The waffle was alright but the ladies making and serving have no respect toward customers .. First someone cut the line and they dint care and took his order , second when asked about it they start to point out that I wasn't standing behind the line when I was literally the only one there with my credit card out ready to order. They shouldn't be allowed to work there if they are not happy about serving people or show some respect. Ambiance is ok , during rush hour it might get a little busy since the cart is inside the market hall food court.

I wouldn't deny that sometimes I visit Woodbury to just have waffles from this place. Now that I know there are carts all around in NJ for this same waffles I might not drive this far. This place has never disappointed me ever. I always get the berry waffle which has fresh strawberry and raspberry Cous along with whipped cream and chocolate sauce. I don't know why none of the places so far has nailed the Belgian waffle as this place has. It's always crowded here but last Sunday was crazy with a longer queue and had to wait for like 30 mins to get mine but so worth it!

Bonjour mes amis! These waffles were so good they turned me into a Parisian, and had me saying "oui oui baguette" 24/7. In terms of taste, these waffles were très bonne. They were sweet but no too sweet, and had an amazing sugary crisp exterior. Which goes against the popular belief that "waffles are just pancakes with abs", because these were so much more than that. I've never had a pancake even close to this gift from god. Merci beaucoup for this amazing sensory experience, as not only did it please my tastebuds but smelt oh so good. Au revoir, I will be coming back soon!

Waffle with salted caramel and ice cream

Sweet and tasty. I don't know anything about authentic Belgian waffles so I can't really say anything there, but I do know what I ordered was pretty darn tasty, and well sized for sharing with someone else. Also, FYI their "combos" are just suggestions for the unimaginative. You get no savings for getting a combo, so just pick your toppings yourself! No combos come with ice cream, which is the best topping anyway. I got a waffle with salted caramel sauce and a scoop of ice cream. It was perfect... and cheaper than several of the combos that had toppings I didn't really want.

This is such a sweet family owned place. They just opened a store in Gatlinburg downtown couple days back only and I was there on their first day. The waffle options are so good that we couldn't decide what we want to have and so we ended up customizing it by having something from each one of the options You should definitely give it a try if you are around.

WOW! I was amazingly surprised as I spontaneously combusted when trying this trick. Their nutella waffle was bomb. My friend is a little picky, so we subbed the bananas for strawberries. It was excellent! The waffle was perfectly crispy yet soft, strawberries were sweet, nutella was delicious, and the whip cream was creaming. The waffle came in less then a minute, and the workers were actually speaking french! Everything about with truck, the food, the service, the vibe, was all a 10/10. Would recommend.

+.5 for service Somewhat assuming mobile stall in the new food court at the Woodbury Premium Outlets. Waffle de Lys specializes in, well, waffles. They have an easy to understand menu on popular waffle choices, as well as a do-it-yourself option where you can make your own waffle. I had the La Crunchy waffle, and it was indeed very crunchy. I certainly wouldn't have it as a full meal, but it's an excellent place for fast dessert. There's lots of other options, but one can never go wrong with Belgian chocolate in their Belgian waffles. Owners were authentic French speakers. I actually ordered in French to them, which threw them off guard as they probably get only a handful of French speakers a year. Great people for sure. Will definitely recommend to anyone shopping who wants dessert!

Love this lil stand! Right smack in the middle of the Marketplace. I felt some type of gravitational pull to get one of their fancy waffles, and I'm glad I did bc they were soooo delicious. Plus, I'm obsessed w everything French. I got the nutty something... waffle, banana, toasted nuts, nutella, whipped cream, the works. I can't attest for all the other flavors, but I'm sure they're all good. The workers were awesome, too. They're actually from France. Such wonderful people to talk to.

If you are looking for something to satisfy your sweet tooth, this is itttttt! I've had their "Oh La La" about 4 times and still always seem to think about having my next one. Perfectly fluffy waffle with caramel, strawberry sauce, banana pieces, and vanilla ice cream.. Can you ask for anything more perfect?

First time eating at Waffle de Lys. It was delicious. She was very friendly and quick on making my waffle. Ordered the La Classique: bananas, strawberries, Belgium chocolate syrup and whip cream on top. Wish my waffle was a little bigger but they were definitely not greedy on everything else.

Unfortunately, not "authentic" Belgium

Was hoping these would taste a little closer to the perfection to the waffles I had in Belgium, but nah. Got the basic waffle with powdered sugar to test it out, and was disappointed. They're a little too doughy, and the sugar crystals are hardly noticeable.

Mango Coulis Waffle

I got the Mango Coulis Waffle ($6, Munchies festival). The Mango coulis was too sweet for me, even thought it was also slightly tart. I had a hard time finishing it because I was full & the Mango coulis was honestly just too much sweetness.

Yummy

We stopped by this food stand because we've never seen it before. I don't think I've tried polenta…read morebefore but the best way to describe it is it's like a corn meal porridge, similar to grits but slightly sweeter. You can have it plain or with add-ons, sweet or savory. I prefer this over grits. I chose to have it with gorgonzola cheese because I live the tanginess and creaminess of the cheese. It came in a styrofoam container with the cheese cut in rectangular strips. You then have to mix the cheese into the polenta. The texture was nice and creamy with a bit of the grain from the corn. We paired it with an Italian fruit juice drink called Unico, which had a mixture of grape juice, apple juice, peach and pear puree. To me it tasted similar to prune juice. So if you like that you'll love this. I thought it was nice. It was a great snack to break up your day off shopping and walking around. It's also different and nice to have as an option compared to your typical mall food that you will find in the food court. Ben, the GM was there promoting the place. He and his staff were very nice and helpful. He even gave us a frequent flyer Card. Buy 10 get the next one free.

The star (on a billing with not much else) was the polenta, made on site, mixed with a couple of choices of sausage, tomato sauce, and cheeses. Polenta is Italian grits. It's creamy with some grainy texture. The truck offers corn and whole wheat varieties, to which you can add (or not add) other ingredients. The truck also offers a few different Italian beverages. We tried whole wheat and corn polenta with and without tomato sauce, sausage, or cheese. Each combination was very good. The proprietor was very friendly. The polenta was piping hot and the drinks were ice cold. It was a pleasant al fresco taste of Italy.

I haven't had a good well dressed cart style hot dog in what feels like years. And for whatever…read morereason, I've been lusting after those onions! I went to the Papaya place on 72nd and it just didn't do it for me. Maybe because they roll around on a grill and I needed something bobbing in water. The internet told me Billy was an OG, so I knew he'd give me what I needed. They were right, innanets remain undefeated! I made my way down to CPW from The Bronx (yea, that's how you know it's real). When I arrived at his cart, Billy was alone waiting to serve his next customer. I was too shy to mention being in this part of town just for him. I was actually too shy to say anything other than "Hello" and my order. "Two hot dogs, mustard, sauerkraut and onions". But no need, while nimbly preparing my order, Billy started speaking to me. He very briefly told me how he'd been out there for 35 years. That his naysayers said he wouldn't last, meanwhile he's still there and they're long gone. Just as soon as we were about to kick it like old friends, I look up and he has a line! I couldn't occupy his time anymore and took my prize across the street to sit on a bench outside the park. Looking over to his set up, I realized there aren't many push style, hot dog carts around anymore. They were once ubiquitous like checkered cabs... Billys cart also has sausages, sodas and water. I'm honestly not sure of what else, because I was laser focused on 'hotdogonions'. But I did notice a pretty extensive price list/menu. The hot dogs were $3, the sodas 2. Great prices! I absolutely got my fix from Billys cart and would make the trek again
