First time to Woodbury mall and found this shop right next to the food court . The menu looked yummy and delicious . Ordered 2 waffles ... the initial menu said 7.50 for waffle and I went to order ! Of course - it was double the price - adding ice cream etc . It was very expensive ! I'd say - not worth the price but kinda ok . Taste was good . I got waffle with Nutella .. tasted really good ! Went well with ice cream . I also got the strawberry and chocolate waffle with ice cream . Wasn't as good as Nutella but we finished it :) it was good overall but toooooo. Pricey . Service was good . Lots of seats to sit and eat . Good overall. 4 stars read more

I've gone to Woodbury Commons Outlet for quite some time have have eyed this stand several times...trying to watch my weight. I finally decided to try it and it's so yummy! Absolutely, no regrets and well worth the money spent. I ordered the L'Exotique and it was delicious!!! The waffle at the bottom and on top of the vanilla ice cream is banana, mangoes, raspberry and Nutella drizzle with coconut flakes. It was a perfectly cold ice cream on tops hot sweet crispy waffles. It's a bit pricey, but the quality of the dessert is well worth it. I totally recommend giving it a try. Customer service is cool. read more

Iced americano with chocolate - there are only 2 coffee spots , Starbucks and Ralph Lauren, in the entire Woodbury Commons. I found the waffle Spot in the market area. My iced Americano with a pump of chocolate was excellent! My waffle although I had it plain was just OK. Recommend getting all the toppings for the waffle but go for the coffee instead! I will definitely return for a cup of coffee. Best kept secret! read more

Must say! This spot is delicious. I had this at the Woodbury Commons and they also have a trailer that goes around. Absolutely delicious dessert. Every time I get a chance, I have to have it. Today I had La Classique Combo and didn't like it (look at my pictures for the proof). Highly suggest to try it when you are up here. Or you can locate the trailer on their trailer on social media. read more

The waffle was alright but the ladies making and serving have no respect toward customers .. First someone cut the line and they dint care and took his order , second when asked about it they start to point out that I wasn't standing behind the line when I was literally the only one there with my credit card out ready to order. They shouldn't be allowed to work there if they are not happy about serving people or show some respect. Ambiance is ok , during rush hour it might get a little busy since the cart is inside the market hall food court. read more

I wouldn't deny that sometimes I visit Woodbury to just have waffles from this place. Now that I know there are carts all around in NJ for this same waffles I might not drive this far. This place has never disappointed me ever. I always get the berry waffle which has fresh strawberry and raspberry Cous along with whipped cream and chocolate sauce. I don't know why none of the places so far has nailed the Belgian waffle as this place has. It's always crowded here but last Sunday was crazy with a longer queue and had to wait for like 30 mins to get mine but so worth it! read more

Sweet and tasty. I don't know anything about authentic Belgian waffles so I can't really say anything there, but I do know what I ordered was pretty darn tasty, and well sized for sharing with someone else. Also, FYI their "combos" are just suggestions for the unimaginative. You get no savings for getting a combo, so just pick your toppings yourself! No combos come with ice cream, which is the best topping anyway. I got a waffle with salted caramel sauce and a scoop of ice cream. It was perfect... and cheaper than several of the combos that had toppings I didn't really want. read more

Bonjour mes amis! These waffles were so good they turned me into a Parisian, and had me saying "oui oui baguette" 24/7. In terms of taste, these waffles were très bonne. They were sweet but no too sweet, and had an amazing sugary crisp exterior. Which goes against the popular belief that "waffles are just pancakes with abs", because these were so much more than that. I've never had a pancake even close to this gift from god. Merci beaucoup for this amazing sensory experience, as not only did it please my tastebuds but smelt oh so good. Au revoir, I will be coming back soon! read more

This is such a sweet family owned place. They just opened a store in Gatlinburg downtown couple days back only and I was there on their first day. WOW! I was amazingly surprised as I spontaneously combusted when trying this trick. Their nutella waffle was bomb. My friend is a little picky, so we subbed the bananas for strawberries. It was excellent! The waffle was perfectly crispy yet soft, strawberries were sweet, nutella was delicious, and the whip cream was creaming. The waffle came in less then a minute, and the workers were actually speaking french! Everything about with truck, the food, the service, the vibe, was all a 10/10. Would recommend. read more

+.5 for service Somewhat assuming mobile stall in the new food court at the Woodbury Premium Outlets. Waffle de Lys specializes in, well, waffles. They have an easy to understand menu on popular waffle choices, as well as a do-it-yourself option where you can make your own waffle. I had the La Crunchy waffle, and it was indeed very crunchy. I certainly wouldn't have it as a full meal, but it's an excellent place for fast dessert. There's lots of other options, but one can never go wrong with Belgian chocolate in their Belgian waffles. Owners were authentic French speakers. I actually ordered in French to them, which threw them off guard as they probably get only a handful of French speakers a year. Great people for sure. Will definitely recommend to anyone shopping who wants dessert! read more

Love this lil stand! Right smack in the middle of the Marketplace. I felt some type of gravitational pull to get one of their fancy waffles, and I'm glad I did bc they were soooo delicious. Plus, I'm obsessed w everything French. I got the nutty something... waffle, banana, toasted nuts, nutella, whipped cream, the works. I can't attest for all the other flavors, but I'm sure they're all good. The workers were awesome, too. They're actually from France. Such wonderful people to talk to. read more

Was hoping these would taste a little closer to the perfection to the waffles I had in Belgium, but nah. Got the basic waffle with powdered sugar to test it out, and was disappointed. They're a little too doughy, and the sugar crystals are hardly noticeable. read more

I'm not sure which page is the right one to write a review for. So, I'll do both! We brought Waffle de Lys into our office for an employee perk day and they were amazing. Lucie & her staff were so friendly and had a great professional vibe. The entire office smelled amazing and everyone though the waffles were delicious. I even asked if they could make vegan waffles so some of our folks would dietary needs could try them and they did that with no problems! Would definitely recommend them and will be working with them to have them back again! read more

The lady preferred serving everyone but the browns! She was rude and didn't even refund my money.

The waffle smell was too tempting, so we went to get waffles. It took really long time for our waffle to be done because there was a complication with the machine, but when we got it, it was really nice. We got the Oh la la. The presentation looked a lot similar to waffle and dinges. The waffle is a little crunch because it has a sugar coating. Ours came with raspberry coulie, caramel, banana, and whipped cream. Everything was really good and delicious, however, the combination of all of the toppings and the sweet waffle was a tad too sweet for me, but that's personal preference. If my family was not already full, we would have gotten another one. Highly recommend getting a waffle! read more

How is there not more reviews for this place? i ALWAYS get a waffle here whenever I come to woodbury. Every time. i dont care if i'm full from dinner- im getting one. Sometimes I go to shop at woodbury just so i can get one of these. Their waffles are baked with like a sugar coating so it's sweet (but not too sweet), which makes an almost crystallized sugar crust. Get the toppings you want, but the belgian chocolate is amazing, and their whipped cream is so light and not-overly sweet. My go to is the La Crunchy. Ugh. So good. read more

These waffles are a hidden gem in the meatpacking district. The waffles are slightly crispy on the outside and soft but not too doughy on the inside. The prepicked flavor combinations all pair well. They ran out of one of the toppings are the server said we could substitute the topping with any other topping on the menu. The syrups are sweet but not artificial or overly sweet and the fruits tasted nice and ripe. It might get a little hectic with the wait time since it's only one person who was doing both the register and the creations. I suggest you stop by if there little to no line until they hire more staff. Overall I would definitely order from here again. read more

Waffle de Lys - more like Waffle de YUM. Cheesy - I know, but not as cheesy as the cheese they brought top some of their savory waffles! We had a "Waffle Bar" work function that was serviced by Waffle de Lys. These waffles were DIVINE. The savory waffle options included a smoked salmon (or ham), poached egg, with hollandaise waffle or tomato pesto waffle with cheese. Sweet waffles included toppings like whipped cream, bananas, chocolate, caramel, strawberries, mango or raspberry coulis, speculoos among other things. Both kinds (sweet and savory) were fantastic! I was really impressed with their ability to make everything fresh on the spot! They poached the eggs on a hot plate with boiling water, and made the waffles fresh. Overall, would highly recommend :) read more

2.5 stars. Had the goat cheese and crispy bacon savory waffle. It was good and unique, but not worth the final price of $14.50. On the menu it was stated as $12, when the woman ringing me up said "$14.50" I was confused and pointed out it says $12 on the menu, she told me "well, it must be wrong, it says here [pointing to the iPad] $13, plus the tax". Her problem solving skills did not seem up to the task so I let it go, but $1.50 tax on $13 is a little steep - even for NYC. Also, menu states it comes with a side salad, but what it really comes with is some arugula underneath the waffle - I thought greens at least needed dressing to be called a "salad". All in all, glad I tried it, won't be returning. read more

This place makes pretty looking waffles but the taste is mediocre for the price they are charging you for each of the toppings. The waffle itself wasn't hot or crispy which was kind of disappointing when it looked like they are making a fresh waffle right in front of you. The mango coulis is good and the server did lined up the pieces of bananas really nicely and neatly. Overall, it was underwhelming. read more

There are only two reasons why I go to Hoboken: 1) My boyfriend 2) Waffle de Lys And if anything were to happen between me and my bf, I would still go to Hoboken for Waffle de Lys. Actually I think I put the order of importance incorrectly. First Waffle de Lys, then my bf. Yes, that's right. And if you think I'm silly to put Waffle de Lys ahead, well, you haven't had waffles like theirs. I know everyone in NY raves about Waffles and Dinges, but that's just because you haven't had Waffle de Lys and waffles (aka gaufres in Belgium). Once you had the real stuff, you know that Waffles and Dinges is just an imitation. A very good imitation, but an imitation nonetheless. I know my waffles because I spent a summer in Belgium being a nanny to three children and when the children were in school I wandered over to the center of town to gorge on Liege waffles. Americans know about the thick fluffy Belgian waffles, but Liege waffles are slowly coming into prominence in NYC. Liege waffles are the smaller, lighter, crisper, sweeter, and more delicious waffles in my opinion. They're made with crystalized sugar in the batter. Most of the nuggets melts into the batter in the griddle, but some remain in their nugget state, so you get little bites of crystalized sugar in your waffle. Topped off with whipped cream or ice cream, it's sheer deliciousness. Waffles and Dinges make liege waffles, but theirs are not nearly as good as what you get in Belgium. On a hot summer day, I walked past this stand and bought one, not expecting too much. The waffle was made fresh to order. A scoop of vanilla ice cream was gently laid on the warm waffle. I eagerly brought it up to my face. One bite and I nearly cried. It was exactly as I had remembered in Belgium. Waffle de Lys makes Liege waffles like the ones you'd find on the streets of Brussels. My superhealthy bf who barely eats sweets helped me eat this waffle. Not that I needed help. I offered him a bite and then he couldn't help himself and ate more of it. Thank goodness I love him because I don't share my waffles with just anyone. They're a little food stand and they travel all over Hoboken. Much of the time I can find them at Pier A Park in Hoboken, just off the PATH station, but they occasionally hang out a different park farther in the city. Follow them on Twitter to get their exact location for the day. @waffledelys Go to Hoboken and have their waffles. Trust me. You won't regret it. read more

Seriously good waffles and frozen whipped cream. Shared the "exotique" ($10 with tax) (mango, raspberry, , banana, coconut, etc) with my son and it was great. Didn't even feel disgusting afterwards. The frozen whipped cream is amazing. Minus 1 star because the huge dessert menu doesn't have prices. This is word-for-word how the conversation went: (me and my son looking at the amazing dessert menu - without prices - hung behind the cashier) Me: "How much are the dessert waffles?" Cashier: "It depends on which one you order." Well, yes, that's usually why restaurants put prices on the menu. read more

Waffles de Lys. You got to try it! Outside of flying to Brussels (expensive, but nice), this is Zee best "gauffre"! Waffle for Belgium non speaking people. This cute French couple make the best Waffles on both sides of the Hudson. Trust me, I know after trying theirs. It is really crunchy, crispy , delicioso, wonderfully addictive melt in your mouth, full of sweet flavors that will bring you in a trip close to perfect culinary Nirvana. Once you have tried one, you'll want another one and another one, and then it will be your daily thought until you make another trip to have one more again. Waffle de Lys comes to Pier 13 Hoboken between the warm spring days 'til the end of summer. It's not really a food truck, just a small portable stand. I got the La Nutty combo which came with melted Nutella, hazelnut and banana slices; I asked for no whipped cream. The amount served is good for one person and it was delicious! Their waffles aren't cooked like Belgian waffles; I think it's made with a different batter. The waffle was crunchy and soft on the inside with a slight bit of sweetness without the other toppings. The fruit tasted fresh and sweet. I'm giving Waffle de Lys four stars because I felt like the price was a bit too expensive for the amount given. I got this truck at the Food Truck and Rock Carnival confused with Wafels and Dinges (not at the festival), but I did it anyway. Got Speculoos spread, raspberry coulis, whipped cream, and Belgian chocolate drizzle. I thought they were decent with the ingredients but a bit light on the chocolate. The waffle was a bit doughy for my liking. Neither a great nor a terrible value overall. I waffled (HA! HA!) between 3 and 4 stars for this place, but I feel like my comments are relatively to a minor degree. I still enjoyed the waffle despite them. This just makes me want to try Wafels and Dinges even more and compare the two. read more

Lots of variety on the menu. Sadly, the girl working there did not know how to make a crépe. She spread it out and then as she tried to flip it, it broke up into 1 million pieces.
