First time to Woodbury mall and found this shop right next to the food court . The menu looked yummy and delicious . Ordered 2 waffles ... the initial menu said 7.50 for waffle and I went to order ! Of course - it was double the price - adding ice cream etc . It was very expensive ! I'd say - not worth the price but kinda ok . Taste was good . I got waffle with Nutella .. tasted really good ! Went well with ice cream . I also got the strawberry and chocolate waffle with ice cream . Wasn't as good as Nutella but we finished it :) it was good overall but toooooo. Pricey . Service was good . I've gone to Woodbury Commons Outlet for quite some time have have eyed this stand several times...trying to watch my weight. I finally decided to try it and it's so yummy! Absolutely, no regrets and well worth the money spent. I ordered the L'Exotique and it was delicious!!! The waffle at the bottom and on top of the vanilla ice cream is banana, mangoes, raspberry and Nutella drizzle with coconut flakes. It was a perfectly cold ice cream on tops hot sweet crispy waffles. The waffle was alright but the ladies making and serving have no respect toward customers .. First someone cut the line and they dint care and took his order , second when asked about it they start to point out that I wasn't standing behind the line when I was literally the only one there with my credit card out ready to order. They shouldn't be allowed to work there if they are not happy about serving people or show some respect. This place has never disappointed me ever. I always get the berry waffle which has fresh strawberry and raspberry Cous along with whipped cream and chocolate sauce. Bonjour mes amis! These waffles were so good they turned me into a Parisian, and had me saying "oui oui baguette" 24/7. In terms of taste, these waffles were très bonne. They were sweet but no too sweet, and had an amazing sugary crisp exterior. Which goes against the popular belief that "waffles are just pancakes with abs", because these were so much more than that. Also, FYI their "combos" are just suggestions for the unimaginative. You get no savings for getting a combo, so just pick your toppings yourself! This is such a sweet family owned place. They just opened a store in Gatlinburg downtown couple days back only and I was there on their first day. WOW! I was amazingly surprised as I spontaneously combusted when trying this trick. Their nutella waffle was bomb. My friend is a little picky, so we subbed the bananas for strawberries. It was excellent! The waffle was perfectly crispy yet soft, strawberries were sweet, nutella was delicious, and the whip cream was creaming. I certainly wouldn't have it as a full meal, but it's an excellent place for fast dessert. There's lots of other options, but one can never go wrong with Belgian chocolate in their Belgian waffles. It took really long time for our waffle to be done because there was a complication with the machine, but when we got it, it was really nice. We got the Oh la la. Sometimes I go to shop at woodbury just so i can get one of these. Their waffles are baked with like a sugar coating so it's sweet (but not too sweet), which makes an almost crystallized sugar crust. These waffles are a hidden gem in the meatpacking district. The waffles are slightly crispy on the outside and soft but not too doughy on the inside. The prepicked flavor combinations all pair well. They ran out of one of the toppings are the server said we could substitute the topping with any other topping on the menu. The syrups are sweet but not artificial or overly sweet and the fruits tasted nice and ripe. It might get a little hectic with the wait time since it's only one person who was doing both the register and the creations. We had a "Waffle Bar" work function that was serviced by Waffle de Lys. These waffles were DIVINE. The savory waffle options included a smoked salmon (or ham), poached egg, with hollandaise waffle or tomato pesto waffle with cheese. Actually I think I put the order of importance incorrectly. First Waffle de Lys, then my bf. Yes, that's right. And if you think I'm silly to put Waffle de Lys ahead, well, you haven't had waffles like theirs. I know everyone in NY raves about Waffles and Dinges, but that's just because you haven't had Waffle de Lys and waffles (aka gaufres in Belgium). Once you had the real stuff, you know that Waffles and Dinges is just an imitation. A very good imitation, but an imitation nonetheless. I know my waffles because I spent a summer in Belgium being a nanny to three children and when the children were in school I wandered over to the center of town to gorge on Liege waffles. Americans know about the thick fluffy Belgian waffles, but Liege waffles are slowly coming into prominence in NYC. Liege waffles are the smaller, lighter, crisper, sweeter, and more delicious waffles in my opinion. They're made with crystalized sugar in the batter. Most of the nuggets melts into the batter in the griddle, but some remain in their nugget state, so you get little bites of crystalized sugar in your waffle. Topped off with whipped cream or ice cream, it's sheer deliciousness. Waffles and Dinges make liege waffles, but theirs are not nearly as good as what you get in Belgium. On a hot summer day, I walked past this stand and bought one, not expecting too much. The waffle was made fresh to order. A scoop of vanilla ice cream was gently laid on the warm waffle. I eagerly brought it up to my face. One bite and I nearly cried. It was exactly as I had remembered in Belgium. Waffle de Lys makes Liege waffles like the ones you'd find on the streets of Brussels. My superhealthy bf who barely eats sweets helped me eat this waffle. Not that I needed help. I offered him a bite and then he couldn't help himself and ate more of it. Thank goodness I love him because I don't share my waffles with just anyone. They're a little food stand and they travel all over Hoboken. Much of the time I can find them at Pier A Park in Hoboken, just off the PATH station, but they occasionally hang out a different park farther in the city. I got the La Nutty combo which came with melted Nutella, hazelnut and banana slices; I asked for no whipped cream. The amount served is good for one person and it was delicious! Their waffles aren't cooked like Belgian waffles; I think it's made with a different batter. The waffle was crunchy and soft on the inside with a slight bit of sweetness without the other toppings.
