But Smaaken has the perfect balance. The waffles are thinner so that they're more like slices of bread than a thick meal of their own. The toppings are well balanced and they have gluten free and vegan options. They were open late on the night we visited and have typical breakfast options as well as sandwiches with ham and Turkey, bacon, veggies, chicken and even sweet options. It took about ten to fifteen minutes for our order to be ready but it came out hot and fresh and tasted great!
