I have never had issues with them picking up the garbage as long as it gets out on time. Their drivers have always been friendly and consistent. I have constant issues with trying to get a hold of them over the phone. They never answer. They take forever to call back. If you need to leave out an extra bag, they say the drivers won't pick up if you don't call before garbage day, yet they are impossible to get a hold of. You cannot pay over the phone or online - you have to send a check (or I guess cash, but who does that), but they don't process your payment until the second month after you send it in (so don't bother sending it in right away unless you're good about remembering that in your check balancing and then you won't have to search back two months to figure out what hadn't come out yet.- I know its a minor inconvenience but it makes me rage.) God forbid you lose your bill in-between getting it and waiting to send the payment because they won't answer the phone for you to find out how much your bill was! When they actually do call back or the rare occasion they answer, they are rude. They act like I am inconveniencing them by calling in. Most of these issues would be resolved if they had a website that allowed online payments and messaging. IF you hate talking to people so much that you can't be even remotely cordial to your customers, you need to find a different way to do customer service! read more

It's unfortunate that Wadsworth Garbage is the only garbage service in our area. Every single statement I have received from them is messed up. I have been charged double, charged for days they didn't show up, and they even tried to say that I hadn't paid for 6months. If you're actually able to reach someone by phone then you're lucky. If you manage to do so customer service is poor and it takes forever to get your problem resolved. Honestly you're better off to just take your garbage to the dump yourself or hire some one with a pick up to do it for you. If I could give 0 stars I would. read more

I just had to say what a wonderful experience it was to deal with a complicated problem I had with parents moving out and setting up as needed pick up going forward. Jerry is great, very accommodating and he works his -utt off!! He never complains is very patient and understanding as to the many pickups he has to deal with. Trash is not glamorous but we sure need him and his hard working employees! Thanks Jerry and also to the kind and efficient lady in the office. The service for regular garbage is fine. Recycle is another issue. Until just recently, it was hit & miss, mostly miss. Not sure what the criteria is nor why it's so very different in the City of Coquille, but recycling must matter to today's conscientious citizens. Making certain it's handled properly makes a difference and it's something each one of us CAN contribute to in a positive way. It's a bit frustrating to sort, peel, separate, and break down, only to have it left curbside without an explanation. BUT... alas, it appears the problem is getting some attention as we've seen a good improvement in recent weeks. We can only hope. Good trash service is nothing to take for granted. We've lived in Coquille for 10 months , the first payment wasn't cashed for almost 3 months! We then received a notice for collections . Called the number . Proceeded to tell the lady that we had sent checks in , have not been past due she said oh well it probably just hasn't crossed my desk yet and hung up! She never got my name or my account number anything! This is terrible customer service I don't know if it's a husband-and-wife team or not but they really need to get a professional to handle their accounts receivable! We've also called every month to see if they have a trashcan available really getting tired of just leaving bags on the ground outside! Recycling is even harder the recycle truck just drives by without even looking! I'm gonna be really upset if they send me to collections even though we have paid! I really wish yelp would offer a zero stars because that's when I would give them. read more

Nothing seems to be done in a timely or professional manner. For example: they seem to bill for 2 months at a time but it takes another month to even get the bill. Then we mail a check (no online billing or auto pay options). It always takes at least a month for the amount to be taken out of our acct. Also, over the holidays they didn't pick up for 2 weeks in a row. No one in the neighborhood was notified to plan accordingly. And, only availability is their home phone. My understanding is the community wants to be gracious to the owners. But, this is the only garbage service offered; and, there appears to be no standard for service. read more

What a joke this service is. When I first moved here it took over 3 months to get pickup and they wouldn't take my recycling. I canceled after 2 months and sent them a check but they won't pick up their garbage can and keep on billing me for service. I just take my garbage and recycling down to the local transfer station at beaver hill once a month for a third of the price of what these idiots charge. I'm usually easy-going and have an open mind to people trying to operate their own business, but this is something that needs to be documented. I have called 10 times to ask them about getting a recycling bin, and left voice messages 9 of those times over the past 4 YEARS. They have only returned my call ONCE, and replied with "We'll see what we can do". That was about a year ago... and still no recycle bin. Their service was extremely hit or miss the first two years I lived in this town and have gotten more consistent over the last 2 years. I haven't called lately for a recycle bin because there is no point; they never seem to get back to me and I have been extremely nice and polite up to this point, and never said anything bad until this review. I wish there was another company in town that drove around and picked up recycling, but we are stuck with Wadsworth, and I am waiting for a recycling bin that will probably never come. My house piles up with cardboard and milk jugs/plastics, until I make a 20 minute drive to the transfer station in coos-bay every 3-6 months. The only "good" thing I can say about them.... ummm.... they mail out their bills to customers regularly? I give Wadsworth 0 Stars for recycling "service", 1 Star for my garbage service 2-4 years ago, and 3 stars for my current garbage service since they seem to have their driver/truck on a more consistent schedule, but have occasional breakdowns in the truck. That's an accurate/legitimate average rating of 1.33 stars, which I am rounding down to a 1 star because they can't seem to get my recycling bin. Give me a bin, and I will revise this review, and possibly my rating to reflect the additional service. Edit 11-9-2016: I have now upped my current garbage service rating from 3 stars to 3.5 stars for one simple reason: the garbage guy *usually* will throw an extra trash bag in the truck that we often have sitting next to the bin. We would put it in the bins, but they are really tiny in comparison to other bins from other companies I have had in the past. This gives them an overall rating of 1.5, which I am still choosing to leave as "one" star overall until they break the "2" threshold. read more
