First time having this and i've been curious. Although i prefer Flame Broiler still, this place is a good second choice especially since they have so many options and different varieties of what you want. I like the personalization options here. The employee was so patient when we ordered. The one thing that stood out was we can have our protein lightly brushed with the sauce which is perfect cuz I actually don't care for teriyaki sauce at all. I thought that was very different. Every time I visit this center, I always smell something grilling from WaBa Grill, which always makes me hungry. We finally decided to check it out and I'm so glad we did! The menu is pretty easy to follow as it's only about a couple steps to follow. Choose your protein, choose how you'd like your meal (rice bowl, salad, plate, etc) and choose your sauces. Wait times were not that bad considering that they make your bowl after you order. I was impressed to see that the only thing made ahead of time (from what I could tell) was the rice. On the day that we ordered from WaBa was the same day as their produce delivery. It was nice to see boxes of fresh vegetables delivered into their kitchen. I saw whole cabbages inside their delivery boxes! We ended up ordering the ribeye bowl and the chicken & steak bowl. I love how WaBa does not fill up their bowl with rice, as the majority of the bowl consisted of steamed veggies and meat. The meat was flavorful and tender. For sauces, we chose the WaBa, sweet chili and the garlic Serrano. There was a nice spicy kick in our bowls and we couldn't figure out which sauce it was from. Perfect portion sizes, short wait times and a decent, fresh meal...we will definitely be back! read more

Came into this restaurant and staff had nothing to do. One customer waiting for their order and no lines. I walked up to counter. No ones says thing to me. I try my best to make eye contact, no one wants to make eye contact. I waited for 2-3 minutes with no one else in line and three or four employees in the other side of the counter without acknowledging me. I finally asked,"are you still open..?!" This is at 1700. The person in front of me said we just got a huge order and we'll be there for you. No makes a move towards me to take an order this after 4-5 minutes. I just turned around and left. We placed an order for 9 bowls , received 8 . My daughter brought over the receipt and the cashier said she already gave us 9 as she was counting from where she was standing behind the counter, looking over where we sat by the window . My daughter walked towards me and I told her to go back tell the cashier she missed count and it's only 8 as we are sitting down in the eating area and one child is missing his bowl and the receipt showed we paid for 9 bowls . ( I can dispute the incident but I want my 14 year old to learn how to communicate and deal with situations) So the cashier asked one of the cooks in the back to make another bowl and shortly after , she brought over to our table . Kids liked their food , the eating area looked clean . We all turned our noses when we walked in the restaurant as to what is the stench that permeates in the room. So I haven't been here for quite awhile. Hubby loves to cook so we rarely go out anymore. We visited a few weeks ago and they have completely renovated the place. Looks clean, and new. If you want a great deal, go for the tacos which are a new item added to the existing menu. We got steak and chicken. The sauce that comes on them is so good! It has got a bit of a kick to it. Cinco estrellas! (5 stars) -- this place is a great Waba. I've tried several Wabas over the years, and this one is the best. The food is more flavorful and they give nice sized portions. Also, the staff there works very quickly, and they are pleasant. All the times I've ordered there, they haven't made a mistake with my order, even though I do several substitutions (like dump the fruit for more dumplings!!). I've ordered so many times, and the food is so good, that my GF has even started getting the chicken bowl with me -- even though she generally doesn't like rice meals. The chicken and beef bowl's taste is passable. However, the beef is sometimes hard and tough to chew on. But other times, the beef is soft. The chicken usually has consistent soft and chewy texture. Jill the woman with blonde slick back hair was the attendant, I clearly paid for extra protein so when my order was given to me I asked why only 1 order had extra chicken, she responded that Jack the guy working in the kitchen putting the bowls/plates together stated that they both had extra just that the one that looked with less chicken he had not spread the chicken around. Ok, so I eat at a lot of different Waba grills when I'm trying to choose a healthier option and I must say not all are created equal. I've been going to this one the most and by far they make there food a lot better and more consistent then others. They grill there chicken to perfection while others are either overcooked and just doesn't taste right. I also get the vegan meat and if you don't cook this just right, then it comes out dry and rubbery. When I get it here, it's surprisingly good to the point you can't even tell it's not meat!
