As soon as I walked in I was greeted and seated right away but it took some time to place the order but I understand they are working hard. I love the friendless and options on the menu. Looked this place up and came to a warm and friendly environment. The food was 5/5 for sure! I ordered more with a Thai tea to go! The food was great and I love the homey atmosphere! Loved Mae! she went above and beyond! Had to get her name and update this review! The Thai tea and glass noodles to go!

    Massaman curry and Thai tea

I would give more than 5 stars if there was an option to. This is my favorite, local Thai food place. I've had several different dishes (pad Thai, curries, drunken noodles, veggies, soups, etc). Everything I've had here is amazing and also tastes better than other nearby places (better quality and value!). Plus, I love knowing I'm supporting a local, family business. This is by far my favorite little worthwhile hole-in-the-wall spot and a regular go-to for me. If you want to become a regular somewhere, this place is worth frequenting.

This Is the place! Bomb bomb bomb! Found this gem on yelp a few years back while at work and craving Thai food. My go to is the chicken Prik Khing. My daughter likes the shrimp... I order mine spicy. But really EVERYTHING on the menu is AMAZING! Ps. Love the customer service as well! Lovely host / waitress. Small family owned restaurant. Waitress shared with me everything on the menu is her aunts (owner) personal recipes. I'm like adopt me please.

The food was decent. White rice was not as fluffy and soft. Service was a little busy during lunch hour.

***COVID19 review dine-in experience*** OMG. This place is LIT. How did we not ever try this Thai place out in our neighborhood? I'm surprised with the portion size and flavors of what we ordered. DEFINITELY will be coming back here to try other items on their menu. So far so good! Food: - Pad Thai Chicken ($10.95): Lets say they didnt jack up their prices from COVID which is appreciated. The dish itself is SUPERB. The color is spot on first of all - a deel orange color as one would expect. Flavors are ON POINT - perfect deep pad thai flavors of sweet and savory. Noodles were perfectly cooked where you still get a little bit of resistance. LARGE portion size so one person would be pretty full from it. I loved the texture differences. Chicken was standard chicken one uses for these dishses. YUM - I am impressed. - Panang Curry Chicken ($10.95): PLEASE NOTE to ask for little-no spice if you want more of the sweetness of this curry to stand out. It comes a bit spicier than normal. But portion size is pretty big, loved the deep orange/red colors, and the curry is semi-thick coconut milk texture which was very appreciated and kept it rich in flavor. Chicken, veggies were all cooked well and complemented the curry. I'll try a different curry next time but it was still a delicious option. * Note that it comes with a big bowl of rice. Expect it to be bigger than 1 bowl of normal sized rice. Splitting into two is decent. Pros: - FLAVORS were great. Continual "mmmhmm"s were flowing at our table. Very unsolicited. It was great. - Attentive server. Thanks for the several water refills. - Interior is a hybrid with casual and decorated. It's not a bad date location but not too bougie-looking. - Prices were very decent for portion size. Great! Cons: - None. We were the only patrons at 515pm on a Saturday. I expect it to be busier at other times. What a HIDDEN GEM. I'm giving this place a solid 5-stars and we will be back VERY SOON to try other entrees. Thank you for a great time - it was quite memorable.

**During Quarantine Review: April 2021** I say this in the more endearing way, but the outdated decor tells me that this restaurant has been in business for many many years, and the constant traffic on pick-up orders from returning customers shows me that it's a neighborhood staple. Based on those two observations I was very enthusiastic about the prospects for dinner as I had a fairly disappointing lunch earlier that day. Not only did satisfy my voracious appetite, but I think it's one of the best authentic Thai restaurants in OC. My friend and I ordered three items and each were delicious. The Tom Kha Gai Soup came out first and the shrimp was plump and had the perfect texture (unlike other places where it tastes like it's been overcooked). The Pad See Ew had a nice fried dry texture and boy that portion was enormous! It also had a small kick to it, which stands out among other places that serves this dish. Additionally the Yellow Curry (while my least favorite) was still seasoned and a very filling dish. Really enjoyed the dishes here and the service was on point. I would gladly come back to enjoy more dishes here - maybe the papaya salad? Chicken satay? *Drool*

    Caribou wings

Bang------kok! My palate is on the blander side, so the food was a bit too salty for me. Caribou wings were fire though. The lemony spicy savory crunch was great. I liked the bok choy in the wonton soup. Some parts of the drunken noodle were very salty for some reason. Server/vibes were chill. Thai music was cool in da background.

This Thai food restaurant provides authentic Thai food dishes. Curry is very spicy. I love the papaya salad and Thai noodles. Inside the restaurant is cozy and casual. Nice place for family dinner. Waitress was very nice and friendly. Didn't have to wait to be seated. Food came out pretty fast. Kids love this place. Papaya salad, Crispy tofu, noodle soup, fried noodles.

I was super hungry-- so probably a disservice. The picture doesn't speak volume. The tofu fried rice is really good!

We stopped by here on my birthday for a nice evening dinner. Got there a little before sunset. There's just something magical about eating outside during a sunset, especially at the Orange Plaza. The restaurant has such a cool look and vibe! We started off with the Hamachi crudo, salmon ceviche, and a bowl of clam "chowdah". The crudo was absolutely delicious, highly recommend. The salmon ceviche was really good but a bit heavy on the sauce for me. The clam chowder had whole clams in the shell throughout. That was fun to pick them out! For entrees we got the lean and mean plate with sea bass. It comes with salad and rice, we substituted the rice for black beans. We also got the skirt steak "bulgogi" which was served on top of mushrooms and bok choy with a sweet soy sauce. They accidentally brought out salmon instead of sea bass, but were very apologetic. They brought out a sea bass on the side and comped the entree to make up for it. Great service right there! The salmon and seabass were both delicious and cooked perfectly. The steak was tender and juicy, full of flavor. As a birthday gift they brought out a thai milk tea blondie sundae which was soooo good! Get it if you like sweets. I wish the owners all the best in their future endeavors, they created a great restaurant that many will miss. Thanks to all the servers, hostesses, cooks, and bussers as well for making my birthday dinner so special!

The vibe here is always chill and low-key, which I appreciate--never too loud, just a good spot to actually enjoy your meal. Started with the calamari (non-negotiable at this point). It comes with Mae Ploy sweet chili and a roasted pepper aioli--both . Crispy, not greasy, and the portions are solid. For mains: Seared Yellowfin Salad -- super fresh, light, and flavorful. The citrus ginger dressing really brings it together. New England Lobster Roll -- buttery, packed with lobster, and comes with fries + slaw. No complaints here. Had to end it with dessert since we were celebrating--went with the bread pudding this time instead of my usual butter cake. Honestly... no regrets. We tried the pork xiao long bao (8 for $12.99), pan-fried pork buns (6 for $11.99), shrimp fried rice cake ($15.99), and beef fried noodles ($14.99). Overall, the flavors were solid. The only miss was the pan-fried pork buns - they were a good size, but the meat-to-bun ratio felt off and the filling was a bit dry. The space itself is modern and roomy, and I liked that the tables weren't packed too close together.
