This is my favorite sushi restaurant in Anaheim hills. Took the kids with me and ate the following: 1) Yellowtail Sashimi: really generous, fresh cuts. Absolutely loved this. 2) Tuna/Salmon: Long cuts of fresh Salmon and Tuna with a little bit of rice. 3) Rainbow Roll and Tempura Roll: Both were delicious. The rainbow roll was the favorite amongst the kids. 4) Tempura: pretty good fry. Lots of veggies and the sauce was delicious. The service here is excellent. Nice ambiance with but simple. Good vibes surround this entire restaurant! From being greeted by the hosts to feeling entertained by the chefs, everyone has this amazing upbeat attitude all the way through. I've heard how creative they get with these rolls, and with Purple colored rice I really had to try it... I was pretty indecisive at first, but I settled on their shishito peppers to start and they were nice enough to bring a little side salad out which by the way tasted amazing (I think it's the sumi salad on a small scale). The sauce for the peppers was wonderfully done, it wasn't drenched and I could taste everything with a good balance. The seared yellowtail roll was soft, melted in your mouth and the other roll had Wahoo in it, I'm forgetting the name but both were very neatly presented, and had a burst of flavor. Service was very nice and very attentive. It was a slow Monday night for them. I've driven past and they always look busy, so we went at a nice time! We sat outside. It was a bit chilly, but it was nice and quiet out and just very nice vibe. We were served our food quickly and were checked on a lot. We didn't order dessert but they brought out fried banana slices with chocolate and whip for us so that was super nice! Delicious too. We will be back again! read more

EXCELLENT SUSHI! After a long drive, we checked in at a nearby hotel and searched Yelp for the nearest restaurant for a late dinner. We decided on sushi and came to this restaurants without looking at any of their reviews. Honestly, we weren't expecting anything over the top. We just needed food to tide us over until morning. We were pleasantly surprised that the food was VERY good - better than our usual sushi place back home. We loved the Poke Nachos! It had different types of fish like salmon, tuna, and even some squid. I definitely recommend it - very flavorful dish. I can't stop thinking about it! Haha Everything else we tried was good too. I had the baked salmon roll. Overall, our visit to this restaurant exceeded our expectations which made for a great dining experience. There is both indoor and outdoor dining. So I was craving for sushi but it's hard to find a pet friendly sushi place. They have this beautiful outdoor patio with a beautiful view plus it's pet friendly! This restaurant has been in the shopping center that is closest to my house for about 10 years, this was our FIRST time going there. We went on a recommendation from our community Facebook group. The food was very good, service was very quick and super friendly. We met Joseph (the owner) and he was very sweet and thanked us for coming in. I could tell they have a lot of regular customers, because both of the servers pretty much knew everyone in there (and they asked us if it was our first time ) so that leads me to believe they know the familiar faces. They use purple rice on all of their sushi (and the server did let us know before we even placed our order) Although the purple rice did not really taste any different, i did not love it aesthetically. We ordered a California roll and it was still delicious but next time I would probably request the white rice instead. (I'm weird like that) The food was delicious and the portions were generous. I can eat a decent amount of food, but even I was not able to finish my entire chicken Katsu plate. We will 100% go back and try some of their other specialties. read more

I'm a fan! Food quality is good and appropriate for the prices that they listed on the menu. We tried their vegetable tempura, two rolls, and drank draft beer and green tea. So clean inside and there's no residual smell from the restaurant being here for over a decade. Of the two rolls pictured here, I enjoyed the seared yellowtail roll more than that crunchy tuna tataki. The tea came in a cute pot and I was able to refill my tea cup about ~4 times ! The staff were so responsive and cared - I was trying to pin down the server for siracha sauce at one point and the sushi chef saw and hollered for her to come help me. I enjoyed my first time here at Fusion Sushi. The unique rolls they had were very yummy and flavorful. The rice on all of their rolls is purple which is different from any sushi place I have seen before. Coloring did not change the flavor of the sushi. Eating at sushi restaurants is a process for me and my partner. I have an avocado allergy and he does not. We explained this and they offered to put my avocado on the side so he can have it, however it came on the same plate that my sushi was on. I don't have a very severe allergy but can see how this option would be a problem for someone who does. We went late night about 1.5 hours before they close. Staff was very friendly and checked in often, but began to play the music at a very high volume about 20/25 minutes before their scheduled close time. This made us finish eating very quickly and leave as soon as we can because it made it slightly awkward as we were one of two tables left. Brought the order back to work for my coworkers and I and when we opened up the boxes, we were faced with purple riced sushi! This was something I've never seen before but it was fun and vibrant! We enjoyed all of them, my only complain is that I felt like the rolls needed a bit more sauce. There were times that some were lacking a bit of extra flavor. The Purple rice that they offer is very different and unique. Its sweet yet tasty and gives the rolls a very different taste that is enjoyable. We really enjoyed the appetizers that we ordered. Their service is TERRIBLE!!! My husband and I walked in on a Saturday night around 6:30. We sat at the bar and ordered a few rolls and a miso soup. The soup came out right away and my husbands hand rolls started coming out one at a time. After sitting there for 45 minutes waiting for my salmon baked roll to come out, my husband asked the waitress about it. She said something in Japanese to the man behind the counter making sushi. They asked me if I still wanted it. I was speechless. My husband was done eating his dinner and I sat there waiting. Then they said it takes time and that it would come out.
