Was here twice both dinners and the experience was solid both times. The apps are generous in size, the salmon collar was nicely charred, the sashimi were good too, service is very efficient, as the kitchen and service staff dance to the same music without missing a beat. Neat little neighborhood sushi bar, highly recommend. 5 stars

Great food, good amount of servings and it wont break the bank. You know a place is authentic when the chefs and the servers locals of the food they serve. The service is top notch....attentive and respectful. Very clean and nicely decorated. Lots of seating inside. we came at the right time because they were not busy, but by the time we are done lots of costumers came and they seem to be repeat costumers. Plus my gauge for a good restaurant aside from the food is that the restroom is clean.

This delicious special is filled with crab and asparagus tempura!!!!!!!!

I stopped here on my way home from Laguna Beach and traffic was unbearable. I am so happy I did!!! I was not only happily welcomed into this adorable and clean establishment, the owner made me the best uni sushi!!! Huge pile of uni!!!!!! Nice to try new special rolls from a different place away from home AND BOY!! DID I PICK THE RIGHT PLACE! Mr Sai was so happy to accommodate me and everything was sooooo fresh and delicious!!!!

The fish so fresh! So many options!! Atmosphere is date night and family friendly! Great music and the chefs are hilarious and consistently making sure you're ok (I sat at the bar) lol the server she was sooo cute!! I did not get her name but will definitely be coming back Saturday to bring the whole fam! 10/10

Food was fresh. We ordered Born Again roll, 2 orders of Salmon belly sashimi, sashimi dinner (comes with miso soup and salad--miso soup was so-so and the salad looks kind of pathetic, it tastes ok. Service was prompt. So prompt that I feel rushed to order coz they kept asking if we're ready to order. Also I noticed one of the servers keeps watching and was always ready to remove any plate we are emptying. Ambience was ok, quiet when we went for dinner. Saw a few take out orders.

Came to have a dinner date with my sister and we both left satisfied! We kicked off the evening with spicy edamame and their shrimp tempura. Their seasoning on the edamame is chefs kiss, pro tip: dip your tempura in it if your palette loves spice. The ambience is also very welcoming. We came around 6pm so they had a bit of a wait but the wait time is totally worth it. We ordered their 3 rolls and a Sapporo. My personal favorite was the yellow submarine roll (fresh and light) 2nd Truffle X (spicy and savory) and last marine boy (recommended if you like onion). Totally coming back and bringing the rest of the fam.

This is a good place if you're looking for some fresh sushi near Costco! The service is friendly and the speed at which food comes out of the kitchen is really fast! The only reason I don't give this place a higher rating is because I felt that the rolls (we ordered 5 different rolls) and they all kind of tasted similar in my opinion. I think their menu has too many items on there and the rolls are heavily sauced up that to me, they kind of felt the same. Yellowtail sushi was really fresh! Salmon belly nigiri was delicious and fatty! Escolar was good seared! This place is good. If you're around the Costco area its a nice place to try. It's definitely no Japanese high end Omakase place, but it isn't some low level revolving sushi place either. So if you're looking for sushi that's kind of in the middle, then this is a solid place. This is 100% my personal opinion.

Stumbled upon this hidden gem of a sushi restaurant, and it has quickly become a go-to spot for me. We ordered the Hajikami Dinner Sushi Combo along with an extra California roll for 2 people. It was more than enough food. To top it off, we were served complimentary edamame. The service was quick, attentive, and efficient. Restaurant is small and cozy. The spicy tuna roll was a standout--it had just the right amount of kick, leaving some warmth without being overwhelming. As someone who usually steers clear of anything spicy, I was pleasantly surprised by how mild and tasty the spicy tuna roll was!

Another great time at Sai! He's the best! Always my first choice on a Friday after a long week!

Amazing my new fav place for sushi. We go here every week when I am not traveling. The owner and his wife make us feel very special when we walk in. Everything is fresh, made to order, also great artistic presentation, almost too beautiful to eat. A MUST for the Yorba Linda, Anaheim Hills locals and also for visitors in the area.

It was mediocre and overpriced for what it was, if my memory serves. Even though we live nearby, we've always had to drive out for decent sushi. But 10 years later, we decided to give it another shot. I was debating between Sushi Imari and here, and I chose here because it's owned by a Japanese owner. I ordered saba (mackerel) first, to test how they handle the basics. It was nasty. The skin didn't look appetizing at all, clearly not in good condition. Failed. Then the rice. Nigiri needs well cooked rice with perfect seasoning, but the quality here was horrible. You could tell they're using old, cheap, low quality rice. The hamachi was meh, ruined by the bad rice. The salmon was cut irregularly, the halibut was fishy and not fresh, and even the jumbo scallop lacked freshness. You can clearly get better elsewhere. Sushi Noguchi, I'd respectfully suggest you either rebrand as a low end sushi spot (or even a conveyor belt place) to match this quality of fish, or, if you don't know sushi well and don't mind overpaying, you might still enjoy it here.

We ordered the 5-roll Omakase set for $28. The fish quality was average, but the biggest disappointment was the rice-to-fish ratio--it felt like 2/3 rice and only 1/3 fish. Compared to other hand roll restaurants we've tried in OC, they were very skimpy on the filling. Given the price, we honestly would have been happier just grabbing packaged sushi from the market itself. Unfortunately, the experience fell short of expectations.

There's also a to-go option if you don't want to wait for the bar. Ambience is clean and efficient. They have limited seating so come early if you can. If you come towards the end of the day, you might not get seated. We came at 6:30 the other day and waited about 30 minutes. ‍ Halloween sushi in Brea is seriously too cute…read more Even the sushi is dressing up for Halloween this October haha! This time we visited Chubby Sushi & Ramen in Brea, a cozy Japanese spot with warm wood tones that's perfect for a casual meal with friends. They currently have two Halloween specials For takeout, the Halloween Combo is $99 instead of $116, and includes Chubby Sashimi, Chubby Ninja Roll, Brea Roll, Crunch Roll, and California Roll -- perfect for sharing at a Halloween party. For dine-in, if you spend $60 before tax, you can choose either a Halloween Roll or Halloween Appetizer. The Halloween Roll comes with fried pumpkin, spicy crab, salmon, and avocado, topped with sauce for a sweet, savory, and slightly crispy bite The Halloween Appetizer features fried pumpkin topped with black truffle salmon, jalapeño, onion, and seaweed salad -- and the presentation is so festive! We also had the Chubby Sashimi, loaded with salmon, tuna, sweet shrimp, uni, and more Plus Yellowtail with Jalapeño, Fresh Oysters, Chubby Roll, Tempura Combo, and a hot bowl of Ramen. If you're looking for a little Halloween vibe while craving Japanese food this October, this is such a fun one to try

Two of my kids got sick after eating raw fish at this restaurant. I contacted the restaurant…read morebecause I wanted them to take the situation seriously and investigate whether the sauce served with the fish could have been the problem. I was NOT asking for a refund or money. I simply wanted them to look into a potential food safety issue so this might not happen to other customers. Instead, they were dismissive and responded, "Report it or whatever you want. We'll handle it with our insurance." There was no apology, no genuine concern for my kids, and no indication that they cared about investigating what might have happened. I understand that the restaurant may not know the cause immediately, but I expected them to listen and take a possible food safety concern seriously. Their attitude was what disappointed me the most. This was never about money. It was about my kids getting sick and wanting the restaurant to care enough to investigate. Unfortunately, their response left me with very little confidence in how they handle customer safety concerns. I will not eat here again.
