Came here to eat last week. 1st time trying Waba Grill and i was displeased. The food was under seasoned and did not taste good at all. The customer service was poor. I waited in line for 10 mins before being waited on. There was no one else in line. There were 3 people working on plating food and one just stood there. I got no salad dressing for my salad. My little brother is vegan and I am vegetarian. We were out shopping all day and wanted to eat before heading home (and passing out). I had passed WaBa Grill a few times and had seen a few advertisements previously, so, since I was in the area, I decided to hop on their website and check the menu. I was pleased to see that certain locations offer a tofu option and after a quick call in, found that this location offers the tofu! My brother and I really enjoyed the food! the reason for 4/5 stars is for 3 small reasons. 1) The place was a LIIIIITTLE sticky. but, taking into consideration that they have lots of WaBa sauce/Teri sauce on everything (yummm), it makes some sense. But still, just a little more wiping down of the tables would do. 2) they forgot my onions :( Its not really a big deal, but still, man. I like my onions. 3) A group of deaf girls came in and they were having a hard time ordering. The cashier got a little flustered and was trying to talk slow so they could read his lips, but they found it rude and just ended up writing on a paper back and forth with them. Having a physical menu someone could point at, or a number system for the plates so that someone could just motion the numbers would make it easier. But i know deaf communities are scattered and MoVal doesnt have too big of one, so its not surprising that a cashier may not have ever come in contact with a deaf person previously. Love this place! Truth is there many WaBa Grills around me, and I choose this location because of the employees that work there. The service is always exceptional! Great Attitudes and smiles are seen the second you walk in the door. I received some BOGO coupons in the mail for this place. My son and I go into today to give it a try. The presence of the coupon threw the young girl behind the counter for a loop. She had to go talk to this smug young Asian manager twice to work through the coupon fiasco. After I agreed with all of the stipulations, she rung up the bill wrong. I canceled my order and took two chicken bowls and two drinks, so to not overwhelm the cashier. The manager was five feet away from me, but would not talk to me directly...weird. Really poor customer service. Garden variety chicken bowl. Nothing special you cant get at the Flame Broiler or The Asian Bowl down the street. Won't be back and from the looks of the empty eating area, I am not the only one. read more

Although this place is very clean, the food wasn't that great. We ordered the steak plate and the chicken plate. For the steak plate, there was way too much rice compared to meat and the flavor of the meat was completely masked by the amount of sauce. Also instead of a fruit cup variety like in the picture, they gave us a measly piece of an orange. For the chicken plate, same complaint about the rice to meat ratio and the chicken was really burnt. As if it was left on the grill way too long. Same thing with the fruit too. Overall, this place is way too pricey for the price and the quality of the things you get. The WaBa Grill off of California street in Riverside and the one off of Arlington are so good, they always give you a lot of portions. Day street is the worst, not only did they skimp on the portions it lacked flavor. It actually tasted bad, so I ended up throwing it away! Just a waste of $$ read more

I order a chicken bowl with veggies and brown rice with white meat. The food was okay, I was happy to have chicken breast that did not resemble jerky... But the customer services and professionalism left a lot to be desired...I was unsure if the chicken breast was an added up charger, or if the bowl came like that. It was unclear at first looking at the menu. I asked the young girl about that at the same time seeing a tiny astric by it and in very tiny letter at the bottom of the menu indicating white meat is an extra charge but I did not see the writing at first. The girl at the register was so rude when I asked the question, but she did answers... Mind you there are 4 people working behind the counter, one cooking chopping meat, the other nothing, and another woman playing on he phone all this in the prep area... This little young girl was telling the rest of the employees, "what has for eyes and still can't see..." She was talking crap about me and counties to say it as if I did not know what or who she was talking about... I was very offended and will not go back there again... I believe two of the other employees where supervisor and they just laughed... I don't understand people's work ethic... I love this Waba grill I was out of town and yesterday I went to eat a salmon bowl with veggies and it was delicious. I love coming here the cashiers are always friendly and the cooks always helping each other I love their teamwork I notice now they have TV wonderful is like eating at home watching tv. Everything. 1st time going to a Waba Grill and LAST time I will ever go to one. ONO Hawaiin BBQ is 0.5 miles away! Waba burned my shrimp to the point of no return. You could smell how bad it was. It is always a hit or miss with this place. This is the second time I have uncooked chicken. I always get white meat and recieved dark meat. Again, uncooked. This was the dirtiest restaurant I've been in for a long time. Most tables were dirty, the floor was a mess, and the sauce station was dirty. I couldn't help but notice the dirty windows too. Customer service was ok, nothing special. Same for the food. it's too bad because I was really craving the food. On February 23rd I went and purchased combo Teriyaki steak and chicken with brown rice and vegetables and not hours later I had food poisoning that gave me diarrhea that lasted 5 days hospitalize me for 2 days then came the fever ate here in the past but I think I got a bad serving of bacterial chicken or beef or unsanitized hands I know it was not Airborne virus because I have 5 kids at home and no one got sick but me from food poisoning got blood tested in the hospital specifying bacteria found in my intestine and prescribed antibiotic Flagyl inserted IV due to dehydration Waba Grill I don't know what you owe me but I went through a great deal of pain and suffering read more
