Juan helped us out, we were having a hard time using the app. We got a promo for 5 free dumplings on the app, so we signed up, but it wasn't working. Juan saved the day. Nothing but nice things to say about the service and to go experience. Location was clean. Food was good. My main complaint was a bone in my chicken and it just not being the best quality meat. My partner is particular about his meat and there was too much gristle for his liking. I don't think we will be back. read more

We came today 4/16 after a doctors appointment @11:30 .They give you very little food at this location. A regular bowl is like a mini. The amount of chicken is less than a mini and the rice was only filled below the half way mark. My husband frequently goes to Waba by our home he loves Waba ,this one was a a miss read more

Don't bother unless you're into overpaying for dried up chicken and rice. We had two different chicken bowls - one sweet and spicy, one regular. Both upgraded, one with vegetables, one the full plate. $31. plus tip with one fountain drink and a free water. Not just the chicken, but even the rice was dried out - whether because it is low quality chicken or was overcooked, I couldn't say, but it was far from any sort of gastronomic experience. I have been to multiple WaBa Grills. The food here was so dry for my rice and chicken bowl. The miso soup was also the worst I have ever had. It was chunky at the bottom ! SMALL PORTIONS! I have been to a number of Waba Grill restaurants. i have always been happy with how much chicken you get in their rice bowls. This particular location serves about half of what the other locations give you. I can have extra chicken if I pay an additional $5.39...No thanks! I don't know if this is because of the management or store owner. Looks like I will be driving to other locations for a decent meal. Such a ripoff! read more

It's pretty awful. I'd been to another Waba Grill many years ago and it was actually pretty good -so I'm not sure if the whole chain has gotten worse -or if it's just the NoHo location. I ordered a salmon/veggie bowl w/side of dumplings. When I got home with my order -I checked and wasn't sure if it was chicken or salmon. After smelling & tasting a tiny bit- I still wasn't sure. The thin and under-cooked tasteless bit of salmon was sitting on top of a mound of sticky white rice with a few pieces of under-cooked broccoli and carrots (also lacking much flavor). The dumplings were equally under-cooked, flavorless and soggy. It's as though they used the least expensive food they could find -then microwaved or poached everything before placing on a grill for 10 seconds to get grill marks. The only positive thing I can say is that they didn't give me much salmon. I didn't finish it -and I was hungry. I won't be going back. read more

I don't know what I expected, but this was pretty bad. Actually, I do know what I expected - at the very least I expected the salad to have more than 4 leaves of lettuce and not be drenched in sugary sweet dressing. I expected the salmon not to taste so plastic and yet somehow fishy and I expected the vegetables to be steamed and not, what I assume to be, microwaved which rendered the carrots so stale they was impossible to spear with a fork. I expected there to be some kind of flavor without having to douse the whole plate with yet another sticky sweet sauce packet. Overall pretty tasteless, and what could be tasted, tasted off. Should I cut Waba some slack for being a fast food restaurant that offers healthy-ish dishes in a full-fat, deep fried world? Yes - so for that as well as the portion size, they get two points. But lesson learned about ordering their salmon. Never again. read more

Let's highlight a great team! Immediately when I walked in was greeted by alam, who was busy taking an order. He has great customer service skills and can breeze through a line. Previously, I went to the WaBa grill by the chucky cheese on Laurel canyon until I saw roaches. Gross. This location is new and ran completely different. I loved how clean it was. This is my normal, chicken bowl with veggies and rice. I opted for brown rice this time. My veggies weren't cooked through all the way hence the 4 stars. But overall, it's a cheap and healthy ish convenient meal! And it's yummy. read more

I was busy on my phone and a WaBa Grill ad comes up on my phone. Looks delicious and it opened right near my house. So here we are a family meal and full stomachs later. The place was clean and followed the proper Covid-19 guidelines. Staff wore gloves and had masks on. They also had sanitizers on the counter for use. Stickers on the floor mark the 6 feet apart distancing. We decided to go with the family deal because it was the better option for us. It came with: 1.Protein option (chicken, steak, WaBa-Steak and Chicken, and Tofu) 2. Steamed Veggies 3. White or Brown Rice 4. Ten (10) piece wontons 4. Four (4) drinks. The food was delicious and hit the spot. Paired with the WaBa sauce and my side of avocado, it was perfect. The only downside from this visit was they forgot to add my 10 piece wonton, which was the main reason we ordered because our kids love them. Other than that, we will be back. 4 stars for good *fresh* food at a really good value. Honestly these days it's pretty hard to have a decent meal for 2 ppl under $25. Get the veggie rice bowl. The extra $2.50 for the plate is not remotely worth it.. 2 bites of salad and half an orange? Trust me, just go with the veggie bowl. Also, I suggest getting your sauce on the side. Bowls/plates are pretty saturated with the sauce and It can be a little overwhelming sugar-wise (which is also not very healthy). Get it on the side and add it to your taste. If I were a more petty person, I'd take off 2 stars for the awful music playing over the speakers. First, it was too loud. I could barely hear the person taking my order, which was apparently reciprocal because they missed a detail on my order. Second, while trying to enjoy our meal in the store, we could.not.wait. to leave because the music was just that annoying. Unintelligible vocoder trap music with machine-gun hihats? Really? I find it hard to believe that any business owner would want to subject their customers to this. Dead silence would have been better. read more
