The new owner, Nav has definitely changed the dynamic of the Waba. I would recommend everyone to go in now that it's under new ownership. He and his employees are very friendly. Went today and was a disappointed! The people working were so disorganized and young! They got the order wrong! Gave my son thigh meat instead for white he paid for ! Very poor food safety practices here. Witnessed the cashier handle money, not wash his hands, and proceeded to stick his gloveless hands in the rice cooker to scoop rice. As the food is great I can't justify putting 1 star for poor customer service. All delivery orders: 1. App/web app doesn't allow for extra notes 2. I paid for extra sauce and it did not arrive and the one that did was half full. 3. Requested extra sauce on top and order came with zero sauce on top 4. A couple of Waba packets is not standard with every to go order 5. Ordered dumplings and no dumpling sauce arrived with my order. The manager here is wonderful. I went into the store because I received a discount coupon. My sister and I tried to place the order at the counter, but the coupon had to be used online. I proceeded to place the order online (it took me a while, I'm getting older and not as tech saavy) and forgot to use the coupon. The cashier called the manager in, and he was more than happy to cancel the order and allow me to place the order with the code. He was very kind. He was actually gentle. He may have realized I was in a fragile state at the moment. I tried to hide it, but I'm not sure if I was successful. What he didn't know was that my father died a few days ago, and it was my first day back in the outside world trying to deal with my grief. Not being able to use the buy 1 get on free coupon shouldn't have been a big deal, but at the moment, feeling like my world was upside down, it was just one more thing that threw my emotions. I want him to know that I appreciate his gentleness. I read on a previous review here that this is a new manager. I want him to know that he's doing a fantastic job. Just made a purchase 10 mins ago and I asked for extra teriyaki on the bowl and the bowls hardly had any on top. The cashier threw in some small teriyaki containers that had maybe a 1/3 of a teaspoon.the cashier seemed bothered that I asked for the vegetables on the side rather then on top of the bowl. Been to this location several times. It's the only waba grill close to my home. Every time I've gone the food has not been good. I love waba. And I want this location to be good so bad. The food was good today, there was a small piece of plastic mixed in with my chicken though. I have been getting curbside pick up at this location for years. I had to call three times before anyone answered the gentleman that answered told me I needed to come in to get my food, when I went in, I asked are you no longer doing curbside he said he was new and had only been working a month and no one has told him about curbside. The woman that was behind the counter chimed in rudely and said I've been working here a year and we have never done curbside. Well curbside is still available service option labeled on Google, so if there is new management, they need to change that or train their employees. Not only that while I was questioning them about curbside the new worker was asking me what my name was just to get me out of there. This is not the customer service that I'm used to at this location. Hopefully this issue will be fixed. Part of the reason why I like going to this location is because of curbside option. read more

Hello I am a community activist for the surrounding Cities. I had the worst experience from this grill today I ordered bowls they came incorrect and with not enough rice and they cut the portions. They also undercook the steak and messed up on my whole order . The staff was very rude the general manager of this location is one of the most rude individual that I would ever talked to in my life. He did not offer me any solutions all he told me was the cooks put the right portion and he didn't want to believe a customer. A customer is always right and I feel like Waba Grill let me down because they did not give me what I paid for this is just outrageous thing to happen during a pandemic. The customer service in this location is pure garbage I wouldn't recommend anybody going to this location I do not understand how the general manager is a general manager because he doesn't even treat his customers right and doesn't have a good service.Customer service is pure garbage they need to hire staff that actually cares for the customer read more

I was in the area today and decided to give it another shot and boy am I glad I did! Desiree the manager was kind, prompt and attentive to her customer's needs. I can really tell that she has turned around this location and it shows in the quality of the food, the cleanliness of the store, and the atmosphere when you walk in. This franchise location and the one in Rancho do not accept WaBa Grill gift cards. I found that issue coupled with the fact that the staff is curt and do not value customer service to be distasteful. When I inquired about the gift card issue I was told to call the number on the gift card. This was wrong information just given to me to make me be quiet. I called the "restaurant" again, and I was told that I could call corporate, but they probably wouldn't do anything to help. She then told me that her boss just doesn't take them at the locations he owns. Bad business practices. You lost me as a customer. I'm going to go to the one in Glendora.
