This is the closest restaurant to the A Line Pomona North Station. I went for breakfast. This is a Quick Serve restaurant meaning you order at the counter and food is brought to you. They also offer drive thru service. The food a good selection of inlets, breakfast plates sandwiches and burritos. I ordered ham & eggs. I like my eggs poached but that is not an option. Scrambled or over easy . I went with scrambled eggs. The ham was ok . I opted for fresh squeezed orange juice Which was very good. The dinning area is clean more modern than some locations . The staff here are super nice, and I think the rating for this place is closer to 3.5 stars. I think a lot of locals just stop by here, or maybe it's the senior housing next door. We were at this Farmer Boys for breakfast today. We went for the French Toast platter and Hot Cakes platter. I remember breakfast platters used to be $5.99 each, but nowadays, it's costing $8.99ish. I guess we have to keep up with inflation as minimum wages increases LOL. Both platters were okay. Sunny side eggs were very good. Size of the French toast have shrunk. Pancakes did not appear to be fluffy. Bacon could have been crisper. Staff was okay... they could be a bit more smiley though LOL. There were ladies constantly cleaning the tables which was good. I didn't remember if we should leave a tip since foods were brought to us. I left a tip anyway. We don't know if we'll be back to this Farmer Boys. Give them a try when you're in the Pomona area. I was in the area around dinner time and decided to pick up dinner for me and my husband. I was looking forward to it, since we have not been here in a long time and knew that it recently remodeled. I ordered the pastrami sandwich for my husband and the cobb salad for me, together with a large Diet Pepsi for us to split. Just those items were $34.00, which I thought was very pricey. My husband was disappointed in the pastrami sandwich, which had very little meat and a lot of fat. He was looking forward to having pastrami again, since it has been a long time, and was really disappointed. My cobb salad was good, but I have had better. The bacon was very chewy and the chicken was a little dry, but it was enough salad to have for dinner and lunch the next day. After my appointments at Casa Colima we ran over to the newly remodeled Farmers Boys. It's been under remodeling for over four months. From the outside it's received a fresh coat of paint and a possible new covered outside area for tables and chairs for possible Covid times.asking lot was resurfacing and painted lines. Walking in to a great looking face lift. Everything looked more stainless steel/polished aluminum. Soda machines looked upgraded and the table, chairs and booths looked new. Inside the restaurant looked to hold approximately 50-60 tables in the middles with the booths lines the walls on both side. Two exits and the bathrooms looked dirty. Two exits and handicapped ramp and parking was available. Service was great. The lady who took our order was very nice with a smile and very easy to understand. Order was placed and we sat down and the food showed up in just minutes. VERY FAST AND VERY HOT !! We had a Double cheeseburger with fries and a drink combo and a patty melt on toasted sourdough with fries and a drink. The food was very tasty and again hot. The person that delivered our meal also brought us blue cheese and ranch dressing for dipping.... In conclusion, in my humble opinion, here are the scores. Worst service ever. Someone cut in front of me & when I tried to tell one of the ladies there, she just ignored me. On top of that she never asked for proof of purchase or a receipt to pick up the order from the lady who cut in front of me but suddenly asked me for proof. Food as always, was amazing however, I was disgusted and disappointed by the gentleman behind the counter (in training) when I saw him touching his nose and mouth; at one point even picking his nose and being given food to serve to customers. He even took a washcloth after (again) touching his lips/mouth with his bare hand and clean the counter top with it! I finally had to speak to the manager (Carmen) about this and how disgusting it was to see this happening in a clean restaurant. If we took anything away from the pandemic, as a learning feature, it is to have clean hygiene and consideration for others. I have been to this restaurant on a couple occasions for the convenience that I work nearby. The customer service really needs an adjustment. They have a lack of friendliness. The restaurant itself is fair for its cleanliness. The food is good, but I did try the BBQ chicken salad for my first time. It lacked flavor. I've tried three places in the vicinity, including this Farmer Boys (which I thought was a step up from the likes of Jack in the Box). I asked for a Farmers Burger with no cheese. What I got was a burger that had no guacamole, but several layers of cheese. Surely you must realize 12% of the population is lactose intolerant, right? RIGHT? Just say the least I was so disappointed... An onion ring order comes with only four onion rings!!! Even though they were huge in size, the onion inside was really thin. I would much rather have a thick onion and they be smaller... than to get what they serve with that thin onion, tho huge in size, it was sooo disappointing... Then I open up the burger not only was it super dry like there wasn't any sauce you could even see on it the burger itself was barely lukewarm and it was hard around the edges and kind of cold hard to touch in the feel of it, you would figure that early in the morning they would make it fresh but nope not this place, these burger patties were definitely pre-made before the order... I really dislike sweat box food..... I didn't think I would have to ask for the food to be made fresh, but I guess you do... And of course they don't have Coke they're sponsored by Pepsi so I ordered a cherry Pepsi 'lite"ice,my drink came with more than half full with ice and the Cherry Pepsi was flat...ugh. Horrible customer service. The lady gave horrible instructions. I was going to use my coupons: sandwhich and free onion fries. She didnt tell me she needs the code after telling me to press i want. I x out the screen. She said i need a separate transaction for the onion rings. So i ended up unable tp use the chicken sandwich coupon because I cant get the code. That already frustrated me. Then i paid without coupon then i said how we get the free fries she told me to press i want.. I showed her the code this time and she told me i need to purchase with item to get the free onions..
