I didn't receive utensils or the 2 bottles drinks I asked for and on top of that my recipe it was never given back to me after I had to verify it was my order number when they called it. Tried to have a great lunch with my girlfriend when a roach as big as a newborn baby started to crawl on the wall by the register I even have the pictures to prove it, definitely disgusting to see people keep eating the food while they seen the roach as well. Stopped by feeling very hungry, so maybe I was hangry! None the less I walked in and walked up to the cashier( no name tag so didn't even bother asking for her name). I was greeted from the back of the kitchen which was pleasant. When owning a restaurant and depending on customer service greeting your potential customers is key. I appreciate being greeted when I walk in, which in this case it wasn't the cashier that was working the register ( face of the business). I stood there ready to order in which she finally looked and me and said " I will be right with you". As I stand there with my hands in my pocket hungry and ready to place my order ( unable to since she is still busy), I hear the phone ring and a gentleman answers the phone and takes a phone order. While I stand there and continue to wait (approximately 5 minutes), I realize if someone is able to take a phone order how is it possible that they are still keeping me waiting unable to take my order? Is there a priority to phone orders? Finally the cashier is ready for my order in which I place my order. My total was somewhere along the lines of fifteen dollars or so, give or take a few cents. I hand her a one hundred dollar bill. She then says " I don't have change for that"! How is it that a food chain of this magnitude can't even be prepared to have adequate change for the business day! She then asks me if I have a debit card. Why should I have to accommodate your business when it is not my fault that me a paying customer has money to pay for a meal but I am turned away for lack of change! Back to the cashier she lacks enthusiasm and definitely does not genuinely care about the customers. I took my business elsewhere. I have been coming to WaBa Grill for a long time and there were days in where I ate here up to three times in a day even held business meetings here. Better trained staff goes along way! read more

I live down the street from this place and it will probably be the last time I eat at that location after tonight. The employees who worked literally grossed me out! I would give half a star if I could. People were rude, place was filthy and food was terrible. There was no one in the place so you would think with 3 people working that we could see- it should have been clean. From junk on the floor, to a dirty beverage station, to the broken door leading into the kitchen. You could see how filthy it was. When the food came the steak was like beef jerky. The vegetable were burnt from the microwave that they must have came out of. Most of the bowl was ice cold. We didn't eat but two bites and threw it out. Now feeling nauseous after. So love this place for the most part but its defenitly a bummer when you show up 45min before closing and find out that they dont have veggies because they're already pre-closing. One of the biggest key items veggies!!! But I understand the need to pre close and want to go home so I'll leave 2 stars instead of one. Plus they dont have uniforms it would seem. I came here about a month ago with my family and the customer service was horrible ! I asked for my order to be " for here" instead I received it in a bag " to go ". Then I ordered 3 kids meals that say on the menu " chicken veggie " only to open them and there be no veggie and when I asked the girl at the counter about the veggies she told me the kids meal didn't come with veggie. If that is the case WHY do you advertise " chicken veggie bowls " for kids ? With that experience I was hesitant to come back . And I honestly shouldn't have ! I came in today with my son only to see a worker ( Tonya ) in the back on her phone. I thought nothing of it she could be on break whatever I ordered and was given my food no later then the first bite I see Tonya turn around and start cooking the chicken with her phone in her hand the entire time. This is not her house whatever germs she has myself, my son and everyone else in the restaurant at this time now have them too ( March 12,2019 ) . SO THANKS TONYA ! Not once did I see her wash her hands. And at one point she was talking on her phone while handling the chicken . I'm no health inspector but that is extremely unsanitary and disgusting to say the least. This comment will go no where like the ones before it below. But if for a chance the franchise owner sees these comments I highly recommend hiring a new staff and doing a deep clean of the store . I am happily surprised with how this restaurant is still open in over 120 degrees heat. There is a tesla super charger right in front so while we were charging our car, we were able to eat dinner. The food came in less than 30 minuites, but the flavor was average. I had the salmon, but it was a bit dry and pasty. My brother had the steak which was admittedly better than mine... Overall I think this is a good stop for a long trip. read more

Unfortunately this is the only Waba in the desert the ones in Palm Springs and La Quinta are no longer there. Very disappointed with the service and the food. Our chicken bowl was gross! The chicken was burnt and was chopped into small pieces. We stopped at the one in Redlands last month on the way home and what a difference from the service to the food. We will never go here again! I was debating whether to post this, but my jaw is still sore today from the hard dry chicken this place had yesterday. The tomatoes in my salad had the stem on it. AVOID THIS LOCATION!!! From the beginning of our visit we noticed none of the employees were in uniform and were wearing everyday casual wear without name tags. Kinda odd. The manager had a long sleeve shirt, but he was also working in the kitchen. Poor dude. We ate inside and the tables were dirty. Wish I had taken a picture of the long hair that was attached to the table next to us. The female bathroom was dirty. The trash can next to the entrance was overflowing and sticky. Avoid this Waba Grill! If you enjoy Waba grill like me then avoid this location. If you have never been to Waba grill don't start here. Nothing here is up to the standard I have come to expect from Waba Grill. The meat was not cooked over the open flame, but on a flat grill with a press on top then transferred to the flame for a few seconds to put lines on it. They do not have any brewed Iced Tea selections but only ones that come from the Pepsi fountain. The veggies were not cooked good. But the rice was good. read more

This is my third and final visit to this location. Every time I come here they are rude and unwelcoming. They act like customers are bothering them. Today was no different. I knew going in it would probably be a negative experience but decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. I shouldn't have. I usually get the same thing at Waba, so I know how it should be and when they get lazy and cheat you. I ordered my rice bowl with Elizabeth (one of two employees here) She immediately asked me if my order would be to go, rather than asking if I wanted to eat it here. Making me feel like she wanted me out! I told her I would be eating it here, paid my bill, and waited for her to hand me my beverage cup. She didn't. She just looked at me like "why are you still here?". I asked if we were supposed to just grab the cups ourselves and she then sighed and rolled her eyes and handed it to me. After watching the guy before me get his food (for here) on a tray with no lid on his bowl (the way it's usually served when you eat there), mine was given to me with no tray, just on the counter with a lid. Not even a bag! Wow! Okay. Clearly she was sending me a message there. I am sitting here taking my time eating. Watching them mess around and greet other customers as they walk in with very little enthusiasm. When I walked in, neither one if them greeted me. Yet they greeted the person behind me. So the very first time here this place was super good I ordered my food came to me hot the service was really good and they had soy sauce really really good I was like in going to eat at this every day it health and the price of the items are reasonable. So my second time there was HORRIBLE I ordered my food and then a rush came in after me and people who came after me got there food before I did and all I ordered was a beef plate and a kids bowl so after about 20 mins I received my food it was warm to to the cold side and my salad was wilted and old it looked like it had been about a week old so when the manger walked by he asked how is everything and I told him the salad was old and wilted and he said was he would look into it but he's response was he just blew me off. So if I could have the same experience the first time I would eat there everyday but I'm going to stay away from there for.
