So I received an invite by the owner to respond about my family and mine experience here. I never do this. And I actually did email as requested by the owner of the establishment. In all my reviews, I've never gone as far to email back when they ask to email. But our experience here was so horrible that I decided it was important to do so. This email has went out a long time ago, and I yet have still not heard back from the owner of this location. I figured sending an email as she requested would have had her do the same. My wife and had been traveling all day from Washington State to Indio for vacation. We were tired and just wanted something quick, healthy and close by the resort we were staying at. We got anything but quick and healthy. We ordered a rice bowl with salmon and a salad with Shrimp. The food took 1 hour before it was ready. The salmon tasted horrible. Overcooked and tasted more like steak than fish. My wife's shrimp also over cooked. Daniel was the order taker. Big guy that was obviously unhappy about his position or life in general. Soda machine doesn't work. 3. Ordered a chicken beef plate. Comes with salad. I didn't know plain lettuce is salad. 4. Chicken and beef were diced so think and small it was like ground up mystery meat. The beef tasted like dry beef jerky. And the chicken was like cardboard. Yum my favorite. 5. I got a glass of water and even that was warm. 6. I didn't ask for sauce and I got 50 packs of all sorts of stuff that I threw away. What a waste. 7. The table I waited at to get my food was sticky and dirty. 8. Lastly. Know one said thank you or anything. Just picked up my food and left. If I ate it there I would have given it back for a refund. Most disgusting Waba Grill I've ever been to. My bf never had Waba before so we decided to stop in on our way back home from the river. First the cashier was dripping sweat while taking our order and was rude while doing it. Almost everything is "out of order" in the soda fountain. I had to use the bathroom no seat covers, paper towels or soap. You need a key which is attached to a plastic pipe on the front counter. Small portions of meat rice was hard. We got dumplings that took 20 mins and were just boiled which they are supposed to be fried as well. We requested a refund on the dumplings and the "manager" wouldn't even talk to my bf when he asked would you eat that why are you serving undercooked food. We will not be returning. Our daughter got the tofu which I thought was better. We order beef, but it comes out really dry like beef jerky. The bathroom door is broken, so my wife almost gets barged in on. Multiple drinks are out at the fountain. No Horchata. I'd been wanting to try this chain out for awhile, and I was unfortunate to pick this location for my first experience. The spicy Asian chicken salad wasn't Asian at all. Where were the almonds, the wonton strips, the ginger dressing? It was basically the house salad with withered gross old leaves and teriyaki chicken. My husband got the salmon bowl with veggie and his carrots were raw. The shrimp taco was thankfully decent, which is why I gave this place another star. Disappointed is such an understatement. I placed an online order for pickup around 6:30, drove 15 minutes to pick up the food only to be told once I walked in they were out of chicken and steak. The two things that both orders consisted of. I told them I wished they would have called me before I drove all the way there to let me know, but the guy said they don't see our numbers when we place an order and that they only had white meat chicken or shrimp. I had to completely adjust our orders and wait about 20 minutes for them to then make everything. Mind you, one of the bowls was ordered the boom boom way, and I even mentioned that in person while they were making the food. Once I got home I had a regular bowl with just the boom boom sauce, not the edamame or cucumbers that it's supposed to come with. Pot stickers were cold. The white meat chicken I got for my bowl was overcooked and so was the shrimp and rice. I also wanted a side of the green onions and wonton strips that I didn't get. We were here grabbing dinner on our way to CA for the Thanksgiving Holiday. We walked in around 6:15pm and had to wait for Elizabeth to finish restocking the utensils and breaking down their boxes before she would even acknowledge us. As soon as we ordered our bowls she let us k ow that they were out of white rice and only had brown rice. No problem, it happens I get it. What I didn't appreciate that was while we were eating others ordered and received white rice. Why were we told they were out? In any event I highly recommend choosing somewhere else to grab something to eat.
