Just walked in to the restaurant as was greeted by who I'm guessing was the manager on duty. There were 4 customers sitting down, two workers in the back. My wife and I waited for over 5 minutes for the cashier to even acknowledge us, never did. Instead they ignored us. We're on a set 30 minute lunch, unfortunately and had to walk out and settle for Taco Bell. Not before the overweight manager sarcastically told us thank you and have a nice day. They sure could use some training on the customer service department, based on the managements lack of motivation to get out of his seat I can see why this place is not packed with business. read more

Wow another great expirience at waba today! My food order was great just the way i like it! My visit today was outstanding

First walking into this establishment I could see the employees focused on up keeping the cleanliness. Floors were clean, soda station was not sticky, utensils, and condiments were well stocked. The only reason I'm eliminating a star is because I had to wait 25 minutes for the chicken to be made. However, the employees did provide me with a complimentary drink and side for the wait. Came for lunch and I ordered some food to go and they messed up my order. I called and spoke with the manager who agreed to replace my meal after I got out of work. I came after work and spoke with a young lady at the register and the cook about the arrangement I had made with the manager. With most pleasant and apologetic attitude they told me they would take care of it. The cook was super friendly and professional. I'm going to be honest when the incident happened I expected the worst, but I was so happy with their service and the great attitudes they had. I highly recommend the WaBa bowl! You get chicken and steak for a great price. It can come with veggies too if you'd like. I'm not a veggie fan so no veggies for me. You also can choose white or brown rice. The service was very nice and when I went there was no line at all. Got our food pretty quickly. The place was really clean too which I loved. One of my favorite places to go eat if I'm hungry. I get the meal with double salad and it's only $10. The meal is big enough for it to be two meals or if you want to share with someone. They always have great customer service and their is little to no wait time. read more

Basic is all that comes to my mind with this restaurant.. the food is basic. Not amazing, not awful just kind of meh. I've been to this location twice and it's just meh. Both visits the restaurant was pretty dead. The place is located in a strip mall of different eatiries ex: Mexican food, a pizza place, Yogurtland, a subway, etc. In all honesty I wish I would've stopped by Subway but my boyfriend likes this place so I just ate here (sigh). Plenty of parking, easy to find, plenty of places to sit inside the food joint and the menu is basic. The menu is like black and white. Super simple. My bf & I both got the waba plate which comes with steak, chicken, rice of your choice (brown or white), a kale chopped salad, and (weirdly) half of an orange. The flavor is just lacking. You have to add hot sauce and waba sauce aka teriyaki sauce to it to add a bam effect. It's just meh. I took a couple bites and told my bf he could have it because it just didn't taste like much. Would I go again on my own? No. I would rather go grab a bite to eat at In-N-Out or go to an actual real restaurant with servers. The employees are okay not rude or anything but are kind of meh as well.. the ladies restrooms lock didn't work sooo yeah that I didn't like! It's supposed to be a "healthy food" joint but after all the sauces I had to add to the bland food it wasn't even healthy anymore. Sadly I won't be going back. This is a late review for Waba Grill since I was here a few days ago and I'm just writing it now. I enjoy Waba it's quick and convenient. I usually get the chicken veggie bowl with brown rice (yes you have a choice between white or brown). It marinated in a little teriyaki sauce which makes it yummy. I did notice this last time my portion was a little skimpy I hope it's not like that next time. I also like the combo veggie bowl of steak and chicken. They have salmon which I've never ordered but I hear it's good. Enjoy ...oh and don't forget to add the green onions to your bowl it tastes even better with them. read more

I ordered the chicken plate; it came with a small salad, orange slices, and brown rice. They also have teriyaki and hot sauce on the side for your convenience. One thing I didn't like was the music, but regardless I would probably go again. Service is a little rusty but they just opened so like any other business they have kinks to work out. No stars for this one, I've been to numerous Waba locations and this one is by far the worse. Everything from cleanliness, wait time, portion size and taste are all off point from other locations. We were told when we ordered that they were out of steak at 12:30 PM on a Friday, really??it somehow magically appeared 15 min later but only when we returned to the counter for it, waiting again while they fumbled to serve it. I really hate to do this review but it I felt it was necessary that they hear their customers critique, otherwise they may never improve and I hate to see a business have to close their doors. When we got to this little rice bowl diner it was fairly empty being that it was a lunch time hour. Maybe we should have taken the lack of customers as a sign? The young lady behind the cash register didn't have the proper change on hand for a 20.00 bill and I didn't have anything smaller then a 20.00. She mentioned to her co-worker that she needed change, but apparently her co-worker was on a break and unable to help her. She puller 2 dollar bills from the register and proceeded to give me the rest back in coin. When I mentioned I didn't want all those coins her co-worker finally got up to give her the correct change. Now for the food. It took longer the. Expected to prepare my food but I think it's because they cook to order, which is a good thing. Unfortunately they don't really know how to cook. My chicken was dry and my veggies were cold. Each bite had to be swallowed with a gulp of water because it was so dry. Horrible service! Gone here many times and every time it's a disappointment. Tried to go to grab some food an hour or so before they closed and they always end up closing wayyyy before it's stated rather than their regular 10:00pm closing time. Might want to change the hour times if you won't stick to the regular hours. The service is horrible, they never answer the phone! They never have rice sometimes, which is what they should have at all times since that's one of their most popular side foods. Their beef taste like plastic. Straight off the street and into a Saturday night Rave in the middle of the afternoon. Music blaring like a dance party fully equipped with "F-**k this ..." And "oh my is that his d**%k" blaring for our 5 year old to ask questions about. Add that neither bathroom has a functioning lock. Add the "cute" employee joke "use at your own risk" printed on the door. Then, top it all off with the fact that there is no soap in the men's room that has to be used by employees. (Fixed by male employee after customer told them) Food was ok, and workers were friendly. Unfortunately, these other issues are WAY too big to overlook.
