Came here tonight for the value taco night. 3/$2.49.. repeated my order three times to the lady. My total was double what it should have been and I knew she messed up but I was in a hurry. Got home and my entire order was wrong. I made it clear I wanted the value taco Tuesday special. She charged me for 6 DEL tacos.. ice in my drink when I asked for no ice and cheese on all my items when I said no cheese. Paid $26 when it should have been $13 and change. *** THIEVES, WATCH YOUR MONEY*** as I was visiting Indio this past Saturday on 11 -2-24 I stopped by Del Taco's drive-through at around 10:30 PM with my nephew, the total came out to $32 and some change and I had $30 in cash with me, I proceeded to give the cashier the $30 and paid for the remainder with my credit card, he asked me to proceed forward and through an alley so that their timer would not set off over the designated time they have to cook a meal. Mind you I think everything's great, but two days later I come to find out that not only did he take the cash but he also charged me two separate charges one for $23 approx. and the other for roughly 3 dollars, the point is I've been trying to get this charge reversed. I've called corporate roughly 7 times , no one cares, I've spoken to the district manager 'Alex' , as well as the store manager Emmanuel and they still haven't refunded my cash and insist on giving me a stupid Del Taco gift card for the inconvenience. I was even told that they did catch the thief on camera yet they will not do the right thing by their customer and refund my credit card payment. Not only this but the district manager acts like a 15-year-old boy and reads iPhone messages and does not respond when he clearly knows that what his teammate did was unlawful and just thievery. I only ask that everybody that visits this location watches their money closely and doesn't accommodate and move up in the line if they ask you to, stay there! and hold your ground. I'm hoping that I could save somebody a week's worth of high blood pressure, stress and anxiety. This place is the worst I've ever experienced for a fast food restaurant in my life. Incompetent staff and management. If I were Del taco corporate, I would revoke this franchise. The food is never fresh. The french fries might as well be called mashed potatoes because they're never crispy. The lobby is always messy. The employees try to artificially deflate their order times by asking customers to pull back or forward in the drive-through line. On this unfortunate occasion, I was told they don't even have scorcho or inferno. Only mild. What kind of clown operation is this? Horrible customer service experience from the Manager working there. Ordered drive thru and got uncooked food. reported the incident to their online customer survey, got a call back from the manager there and didn't care much about how they didn't double check their food they hand out. I explained to them I wont be able to go back for my food but I need a refund. The manager said they ill take your name and get you the food another time but only hold it this promise voucher for a week. I dont want my food back I need my money back. This location can careless about the money you spend there, and expect the customers to just accept food back in return for their Mistakes. How can customers trust that the food will be cooked the next time or at all for the other customers. The del taco corporation needs to either shut this place down, or replace the management staff. The owner of this Del Taco should look at the performance of their staff on Sunday/Early Monday morning because they were telling people in the drive thru that it was closed and the idiot working there couldn't even answer the question as to why. When I pulled into the drive through there are four cars in front of me one almost immediately left at the window after receiving its order it then took another 22 minutes to order and get my food? the pig at the window is very indifferent to the wait time at very pushy didn't want to wait for me to put my change back in my wallet I also noted by looking for the drive-thru window their kitchen is filthy. Why am I writing a review about Del Taco? Well, because I've never eaten at a Del Taco prior to this visit. I figured that it would be similar to Taco Bell so I never bothered before. However, in Indio, there aren't many choices when you're hungry and a hundred miles away from home. Indio is probably as gangster as it gets. I'm talking about 4 year-olds wearing plaid and sporting facial tattoos. It's the kind of town where you don't obey stop signs. Anyway, I ordered the 2 fish taco combo and 2 $.59 tacos on the side. The tacos weren't half bad. But for Indio, this would be a viable option for me. Would I eat at Del Taco again? Yes, I actually tried the chicken soft taco later that night when I was in Riverside. Needed a quick lunch and Del Taco is usually good...but the one in Indio is just ok. We ordered 2 fish tacos with no sauce but one came with extra sauce?? The French fries were cold when we got them so I asked for fresh-even if I had to wait. Food getting cold... The shrimp tacos were normal-ok. DEL TACO was in easy walking distance of the courthouse in INDIO where i was stuck for a couple days on a civil case. didn't have much time for lunch so dashed across the street for a quick bite. if i had it to do over again, i would have put in a little more effort and hiked down the street. the BAJA SHRIMP BURRITO was just nasty. shrimp were freezer to fryer (no real surprise there) and had the same chew as one of those hard doggie toys you get at PETCO to manage canine tarter. since i brush my teeth regularly, that particular benefit was lost on me ... when you have a "captive audience" (the daily juror pool) that you only see once, i guess you don't have to serve food that brings 'em back 'cause tomorrow and the day after that and the day after that they're just gonna be new ones anyway. read more

The person taking my order at the drive thru kept thinking my order was done but nahhh she just kept repeating my order cause I kept adding food. She did a great job suggesting the epic chicken burrito and I ordered it. Absolutely delicious filled with slices of avocado, chicken and tons of other goodies. Del Taco is not real mexican food. This is probably the worst del taco that I have been to. The employees on the night shift look miserable to be there. Almost every time I have gone, something is wrong with my order. Ex.) order deluxe chili cheese fries... and I go home with regular. Order chicken soft tacos... get like 2 pieces of chicken. Order French fries.. and they are cold and almost taste old. I get they don't have a bunch of business regularly, but come on.. don't get lazy with making orders when you finally have customers. This is partly why I rarely eat fast food anymore. How many del taco employees does it take to make 1 half pound bean and cheese burrito and 2 egg and cheese burritos. We waited at the window for our food for 20 minutes. 15 minutes after waiting an employee told us, "Sorry for the long wait, people are just ordering a lot". Obviously people are coming to order food...you are a fast food place. The woman in the drive thru asked if we wanted red or green sauce and when we told her green she repeated the order back to us and said red, we proceeded to correct her and she told us "her apologies" that she would fix it.
