Wawa always has a great menu
    Dan L.

I get it, a chain is just a chain. And it's the people that really make the difference. I particularly like this waba grill as it is one of the better ones that I have been to. It's a little trickier to find right off St. Rose parkway because it's tucked in the back of a shopping center but is definitely worth the travel. The place is neat and clean, the staff is very kind and refreshing as well as being nice and attentive. I would much rather talk to a human being than one of those touch screen boards and it's nice that this restaurant still has people at the front counter that care about their job. I really can't say anything negative about the food, because it's always on point. It tastes fresh, is very filling, and the portions are really good. Bottom line? If you're looking for a waba grill, I would add this one to your list. It's really a great place to go when you want something quick, healthy, and not that expensive.

Veggie bowl with steak and chicken
    Roxanne E.

Came here for a healthy dinner on a Sunday night and it wasn't busy. My husband and I ordered a bowl. Mine was a Veggie bowl with steak and chicken and his was the same but he had rice. The veggies were super fresh and steamed with no seasoning, which we liked. However, the amount of protein was super minimal. (Please refer to my photo.) I was surprised. We both literally got half a chicken thigh and a pinch of steak. Definitely not worth what we paid for.... The miso soup, don't get it! It tasted like water. My suggestion, Veggies to protein ratio should be better and the miso soup needs flavoring.

Waba Grill is a new favorite of ours. We will definitely be going more when we are on this side of town. Items tried and liked: Chicken Veggie Bowl - chicken was delicious with just the right amount of sauce, veggies were nice and crisp (no seasoning) and rice was cooked just right. Dumplings - my daughter really enjoyed them. Due to a recent health issue, I appreciate the natural taste of food and having the option of seasoning your own food. Sauce packets are given on the side which is perfect. Online ordering is available and our preferred way. It was easy, convenient and our order was ready at the time given. Employee was nice. Interior was clean. Parking was hectic but thankfully we were able to find a spot. I hope you decide to check them out :)

    Full of ICE THAI TEA

Every time I order a Thai Tea $4.89 x2. They give me an FULL OF ICE Thai Tea. So annoying that you get ripped off. The feeling of paying $10 for a bag of ice.

When I heard word that WaBa Grill was opening in the valley, I was pretty interested. It would be our first location! My husband and I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon after our gym session to grab some food. When we arrived, there were a good amount of people waiting for their food. They weren't busy per say -- I think they were just backed up. There was only two people working at the time so things came out pretty slow. My husband and I decided to share a plate. We chose the WaBa combo, which is steak and chicken and we chose garlic serrano for our sauce. The plate came with salad and dumplings as well. When we were waiting for our food, we noticed that they were making it fresh so at least none of the meat was pre-cooked. When we got our food, I noticed that the sauce was already on the meat so it wasn't served on the side. I think next time, I'll have them put it on the side so I can control the amount. The chicken was good -- had good flavor and wasn't overcooked. The steak was shaved steak versus actually pieces but it also had good flavor. The garlic serrano sauce was a bit sweet so I think it is way better off on the side. The dumplings were decent, salad was fresh, and the rice was just rice. The rice did go great with everything especially with sauce. While the food is not mind blowing, it is good and relatively healthy. The prices aren't horrible either for what you get. I definitely would not mind coming back and hope more locations open up in the valley. I would love a location closer to where I live.

    Mixed Taco Trio

A neighbor told me about WaBa Grill and it looked and sounded good so I went in on a night I didn't feel like cooking. I was immediately greeted and welcomed in by the staff. The menu has plenty of options. You can get bowls, plates, tacos, and salads. They have plenty of ways to customize your entree with different proteins, sides, and sauces. I ordered the healthy combo with the mini chicken bowl and selected the order of 5 dumplings to go with it as the side. I also ordered the taco trio that included one each of chicken, steak, and shrimp. The mini bowl was actually a decent size of rice and chicken with teriyaki sauce. The potstickers were good and served with a sweet chili sauce for dipping. The tacos are a good size and they have really good flavor. The bang bang sauce has a spicy kick to it and pairs well with the tacos. The service was on point. The workers are friendly and accommodating. I will definitely be back.

The atmosphere feels very familiar, with the same stylish décor, dramatic wine wall, and unique light fixtures that give the restaurant its modern, upscale feel. Most importantly, the food was just as consistent as the original location. I was especially excited to see they offer a happy hour menu. We ordered the Garlic Green Beans, Lobster Yum Takrai, and the Dok Lamaii specialty cocktail, which was refreshing and beautifully balanced. From the regular menu, we also ordered the Crab Fried Rice and Mango Crispy Catfish--both dishes arrived beautifully presented and full of texture, color, and bold ingredients that made each plate stand out. Service throughout the evening was friendly, attentive, and welcoming. If you're in the Henderson area and craving elevated Thai cuisine in a stylish setting, this spot is definitely worth a visit.

Crispy cat fish on mango salad 3/5 - good to share, some pieces a bit too fatty from the catfish Pad see ew upgraded to crispy prawns 5/5, decent amount of crispy prawns, fried to perfection. Just like lotus not much difference. Lobster noodles 5/5, definitely get again! A more like beer batter on the lobster. Good amount of lobster and personally i like these noodles better! Crispy duck panang 5/5, duck was crispy and meat was tender, not dry at all. Green beans 4/5 - a little sweet and garlic. The sauce on these were good. Some green beans were a tad bit under cooked. On Sunday, we said our GOOD-BYES and it was decided we'd seek Filipino cuisine. Jocelyn checked her phone and came up with a restaurant, "FULL HOUSE." So there we went and we had a great dinner. As we walked in, a voice was heard: "WELCOME!" ... choose a table!" We did and in no time, A young man (Zeus) came to us with menus and said we could call him when ready! Well, between Tastic, Neil and Jocelyn, the menu items were selected, and Eros took our order. It was very long before the items began being served to us and we began our mini feast. The restaurant is not very big but it is great. The service is top notch as the Waiters and cooks were very timely. We only got a cup of it but I'd totally get more. Very garlic forward with fried bits and it wasn't overly oily like Java rice I'm used to. Their regular order of pork lumpia comes in a Jeepney container but only has four pieces so I ordered the app sampler instead. It arrives with a trio of sauces: aioli, soy vinegar, sweet n sour. Kare kare (oxtail peanut stew) was solid. Delicious with steamed rice. Doesn't overly taste like straight up peanut butter. Grilled fish had all the essence of classic vinegar with extra on the side. Parents liked this. Bitter melon beef was on the salty side. Had to get those greens in. Halo Halo! They shape some shaved ice, ladle on all the sweet beans, jellies, coconut gel (my fave!), jackfruit, sweet corn, etc. before drizzling on condensed and evaporated milks, topping it with ube ice cream, then the square of leche flan with sugar torched to perfection! Can't forget about the crisp pinipig rice which they dye green. Pour on the side of extra evaporated milk after the flame dies down. Big enough for four people to share! We arrived hungry and left happy! Thank you so much to Full House BBQ for this taste of home in Vegas.

It smelled heavenly, but the real magic happened when I put the fork in the bunch! Smokin' Sammich Is one of those places that's tucked in the back of a shopping center. But I'm telling you right here and now it is absolutely worth the hunt! I had read about this place online, saw some Instagram posts about it and decided it was about time for me to try it for myself. This is not one of those quick little snack places, this is when you are seriously hungry and need something to keep the wolf from the door. Everything looked so amazing on the menu, I really didn't know what to do. I opted for the bowl with noodles and rice, brisket, I paid extra to have the side of grilled pork belly, and it also came with a couple of egg rolls. I jumped into the egg rolls first, they were so good. At first I was a little put off because they seem so small, but in this case big things come in small packages! Packages! And the dipping sauce for the rolls, top notch! I had to use a lot of restraint, because I wanted to dig right in, but I wanted to taste the meat on its own, as that is the mark of a really good barbecue. I'll just say this, I would put this meat up against anyone in a competition! The brisket was fall apart tender, had great bark on it, and had just the right amount of smoke. It was still moist, and so flavorful. The pork belly was absolutely amazing. Like the brisket had great bark on it but was tender, and juicy on the inside. All I could think about while I was eating it was how awesome it would be on a cheeseburger. Let's talk about the rice and noodles. Most bowls use rice and or noodles as an afterthought. More of just a base to lay the meat on. Not this place. The rice was some of the best I've ever had. Had just the right amount of stickiness, and definitely tasted like it was just fresh cooked then and there. Same thing with the noodles. Absolutely flavorful and a great side dish. Okay, let's talk sauce. I brought home some of the spicy barbecue, as I like a little bit of heat with my sauce. And this one delivers in spades! Super delicious. Had just the right amount of heat at the back of my throat, and really complimented the meat without overpowering it. You could put this on the pork belly, the brisket or an old shoe.. anything would taste good with this sauce! Since I had rice, I knew I was going to want some of their teriyaki sauce. Wow! Just wow! You can tell this is not out of a jug from Costco. This stuff is homemade right there! Much like the spicy barbecue sauce, this had a little bit of a surprise kick to it. Definitely not overpowering and was an absolute joy to put on the rice and the noodles! Bottom line? This is going to be my go-to sandwich place for the rest of my life. I cannot wait to go back and try everything on the menu at least once. If you were ever in the area and you didn't stop by to get something here, then shame on you!

I ordered a snack, chose potato salad and tater tots. The potato salad (small, $2.75) is pretty good! It has a nice consistency, cool and creamy, with fork tender potato chunks, so yummy! Tater tots ($3.50) are hot, fried golden crispy, and taste great with cold potato salad, it's delicious! There's a condiment bar where you can choose from a variety of toppings such as pepperoncini, pico de gallo, cherry peppers, yellow onions, banana peppers, pickle radish, green chile, sauerkraut, pealed carrots, jalapeños, pickled red onions, grilled onions and bell peppers, whole chili peppers, sliced pickles, and coleslaw. The sauce selections are great too! They offer chipotle mayo, mustard, mayo, spicy mayo, ketchup, regular bbq, spicy bbq, teriyaki sauce, sriracha, and tabasco sauce. For my topping, I added sliced pickles, sauerkraut, and spicy mustard on crispy tater tots, it's tasty and good! Service from Kneil is very kind, welcoming, courteous, accommodating, and friendly!

A lot of items did have the P though which indicates for Premium option only; we just stuck with the lunch menu because we weren't too hungry to spend the additional 8 dollars since they did have quite a few options off of it. My mom doesn't really eat sushi so she sticks with the appetizers and meats for the most part. She did enjoy their shrimp and vegetable tempura a lot. The pork belly skewer was also cooked very well. Hamburger steak was also decent but not sure if I would get it again. The appetizer "Angry Bulgogi potato bomb" was a bit misleading but I guess we didn't know what to expect of it - it was just bulgogi fries. I did try the miso mushroom soup, but the mushrooms inside was hard and just seemed like raw mushrooms thrown in hot miso soup. For the nigiri, we got our general go-tos, salmon and yellowtail. They were both just okay but it did not seem that fresh. They also do put a bit more rice compared to other sushi places. Rolls were just okay, nothing really stood out to us that much. We did notice the chicken katsu roll which we tried, I would pass on it. It's just a chicken katsu and crab inside rice and topped with katsu sauce. Dessert is one per person. We got the basic mochi ice cream and ended up trying a deep fried cheesecake. It was okay but I think deep fried ice cream is better (but that was only in the premium option.) Overall experience is decent. Not sure if I would go again, but maybe I would just to try to see if the premium was any worth.
