Wah-wah You've given me a wah-wah (George Harrison -Wah-wah) The Wa Wah Kitchen is a pretty good representation of all the small predominantly take-out Chinese Restaurant you've seen all of your life. Ceramic tile floor, double plastic booths, big photo board of dishes across the front of the store. Definitely No Frills. The menu is very large, like you usually see in these sort of places, with appetizers, soups, fried rice, chow meins, chop sueys, egg foo youngs, curries, lo meins, broccoli and meats, seafoods, chickens, pork beefs... well you get the idea. I just scanned through the menu for any unusual dishes, so maybe Roast Pork Yat Gaw Mein Soup, Roast Pork With Oyster Sauce, Lemon or Pineapple Chicken, Subgum Wonton are what you may not find at your local take-out place. I dined in and ordered a small curry shrimp ($6.25). The small was far from small- a good sized plate of 5 or 6 shrimp with onions, green peppers, carrots, pea pods, water chestnuts, and celery in a very yummy curry sauce with rice. No complaints on the taste at all. If I could have changed the dish, I would have made the green pepper slabs much smaller and have had less of them. To me, green pepper, carrots and celery are boring, and I'd rather have seen some broccoli or bok choy in the mix. Service was very good. After I ordered, I took a seat, and the food came out on a tray in ten minutes or so. And when I left, a smiling young guy asked me how the meal was. It was no phony-baloney question, he was as genuine as could be. I was glad to tell him the food was very good.

New owners again. This is the WORST yet. I don't know what was in my Chicken Fried Rice, but it's not chicken. It's some weird, paper white, gooey, gelatinous substance that if you touch it breaks apart. No meat in there. Totally gross. Never going back. Too bad because we enjoyed the food till now. Someone's trying to be cheap. Chicken is not expensive guys. Use the real stuff wtf.

This is our favorite Chinese food place in CT. I just hope they stay in business after corona shutdown. We missed them for a month or so.

Ordered fried wontons and were not up to par. Too much breading and no meat. Happy garden on new Britain road is where it's at

Food is available to be made gluten free, but they do it by taking out the soy sauce, not by replacing it with tamari. This is fine for some dishes, a little different for others. Our group really enjoyed the general tsos tofu, and the fried rice and veggie spring rolls. The garlic broccoli (gluten free) was also really good. Wang is likely a place we'll return - and order with the correct menu next time!

Every time I order I tell myself never order from here again. Well I was In the mood for Chinese today and made the mistake of ordering from Wangs out of convenience. We ordered beef fried rice, a side of boneless spare ribs, and a combo of sesame chicken with beef lo mein. The fried rice was almost white. No veggies, no sauce. Just small bits of beef and onions. The boneless spare ribs were big chunks and no sauce at all. The sesame chicken looked like it was battered shaved chicken. No chunks at all. The sauce was more like a general Tsos sauce rather than sesame. The lo mein was nothing but noodles, beef, and a few mushrooms and some broccoli. Everything had very little flavor. Disappointed yet again.
