I was somewhat concerned about the age of all the connecting pipes, but it wasn't an issue, even though their technicians were able to determine that my bad heater dated back to 1986 (I'm only the second owner and I've owned the house since 1995). Under the circumstances I was very pleased with the timely response from Orr Plumbing. But this story is not quite finished, after cleaning up most of the water and associated damage, I determined there was still a leak and it was causing a riverlet across my basement floor. Upon further investigation, I was able to determine that the source of the leak was the main inside shut-off valve. I called Orr and ended up speaking with Mr. Orr. He gave me a quote for replacing the valve. When the technicians showed up, they determined they could rebuild the valve at a much lower price, so I had them do the work. They even sent a technician to my house a few days later to pick up a check as the check I left them was for the original amount, which they didn't take on the day they performed the work. A very nice piece of customer service in the eyes of this customer. Thanks Orr Plumbing for quick and good service, they were straight shooters to do business with. I will definitely call them again the next time I am in need of plumbing services.

The guys were on-time and got right to work. All in all they completed the job quickly and were nice. A few cons: They used my extension cord to run their drills and equipment. Not a big deal, but I thought they would rather use their own stuff. And they didn't roll it up when done. They had to use my hose to run water down the drain in the garage. Water got everywhere, which was expected, but they didn't move stuff that was in the line of fire. Nothing that important, but I would have preferred them to clear the workspace first. And I would have hoped that they would have at least swept out the puddles after the work was complete. The guy asked me for a plunger. Really? You're the freaking plumber and you don't have one?

Post-Covid, when it was really hard to find repairmen at all, I mentioned to Jeff my frustration at not being able to find an electrician to replace all the baseboard heaters in the house (one of them already broken, the rest just old). He said, "I can do that!" He measured the existing heaters, showed me some options for replacements, and ordered what we picked from a Canadian company. The ordering and delivery proved difficult (we were still seeing lots of supply chain and transportation issues all over the country) and Jeff stayed on top of the whole process, keeping us informed of delays, working out issues with the shipper. When the heaters finally arrived, Jeff and his team installed them in a morning, and hauled the old ones away. As usual, the work itself was expert. Billing for the work was exactly per the estimate.
