Terrible experience with Gateway Sewer & Drain. I paid $542 in labor plus $225 for a camera…read moreinspection -- $767 total -- and they still couldn't resolve the problem or even locate the outdoor access/cleanout line. I hired Tope Plumbing, and within about 15 minutes they located an outdoor cleanout roughly 5 feet from where Gateway had been working. They hydro-flushed the line, cleared the blockage, and got everything flowing again for $305 within 1 hour. Almost $800 with no resolution vs. $305 to Tope to actually find the access point and fix the problem. Stay away from Gateway. Hire them if you want to blow your money on labor and inspection charges for nothing to get done. Keep in mind these guys tried convincing me I needed to excavate 9 feet of dirt to find the outdoor access line, Tope found it in 15 min. Can you imagine if I didn't get a second opinion and spent thousands excavating for nothing? The picture attached shows their "findings." Jim was the one who told me the excavation needed to happen. All I can tell you is that this was the 3rd time I've called them for slow drains, and each time I've been completely satisfied with every aspect of the work. Previously, I had a slow bathroom drain, and two years ago a slow kitchen drain. It was the kitchen again this time. After attempting to fix the problem myself, first with hot water and Dawn detergent, then using a hand snaking tool, at 7:15 AM this morning I called and left a message with Drain Medics. Within a half hour someone called back and I was able to make an appointment for 10 AM today. At 8:30 Ken called and said he and Tony would be at my house in about 25 minutes. They were. Ken was the lead person, Tony was his trainee. After checking out the slow draining kitchen sink they went down to my basement and the drain pipe below. It had an access point they used to feed in 40+ feet of cable. The cause of the slow drain was sludge and required two runs with the cable. After that the sink drained properly. The two men cleaned up after the job and I was charged the flat fee of $75 as advertised. I am still satisfied with Drain Medics and will continue to call them in the future as needed.

(The receipt she received says the company name is Twist N LLC). The water was draining slowly when she did laundry and overflowing the stack. The technician couldn't get his snake down the drain and through the P trap. He charged her $125 anyway. She's on disability so that's a lot of money to her. He told her she would need to have the drain scoped with a camera and recommended a plumber to do this. His plumber without ever coming over to inspect the problem, responded to her phone call with a text saying he couldn't put a scope in because it might get stuck, but for $2,700, maybe more depending on the problem, he could dig up her basement floor and replace the trap. I came over the next day and ran hot water down the drain for five minutes from the hot water hose and for the last week she hasn't had any more problems. The Twist N LLC website says their work is guaranteed. I think she's entitled to a refund of her $125.

They were reasonably priced. I found them very competitive other places, but the difference was the price was a bit lower, and the customer service aspect was incredible. I love that they get along so well with my husband and he really enjoys when they come out to work because he gets to talk shop with them. Are you just have them come out for another project that I'm so excited to get started because I know the work will be incredible
