Would love to give VSI a 5 star review for the job they did, but after waiting 1+ week for them to follow up on their visit for an estimate, I can't. We've lost a week of future prime weather for whoever we schedule with while waiting for them to set the estimate up. They were highly recommended on a nextdoor group. If you're too busy,etc., for the job, common courtesy/professional behavior is to let people know so they can make other arrangements. read more

Thank God for VSI General Contracting! Our house had 27-year-old LP siding that had failed and we had contacted several siding contractors before finding VSI. The few contractors who did respond to our requests for proposals didn't bother to show up for the scheduled appointments or bombarded us with phone calls and emails about upgrades and options without even setting foot on the site. Frustrated, we reached out to our real estate agent and a friend of ours who is a custom home builder, both of whom recommended VSI with high praise! The owner, Scott, responded right away and arrived early to our appointment. He took his time to look at the condition of the siding and had suggestions for replacement material. Based on my earlier experience with other contractors, I was a little leery when he suggested an upgrade, but Scott explained how the upgrade would actually cost less than a 1:1 replacement. His quote was extremely competitive. I explained to him that we had a limited budget and he assured me that (barring any unforeseen structural damage) there would be no change orders or upsells. He held to his word. What is even better is when we decided to pull the trigger late on a Friday afternoon, he said he could start the following Monday and finish within 2-3 days! Scott and his crew arrived on time and had the siding complete within 2 days. The work was top notch and we were incredibly impressed with all the little 'extras' that we didn't even consider like custom fabricated flashings, drip-edges, and blocks for our house lights and exterior outlets. We were so impressed that we asked him to give us a quote for painting the entire house. Again, his quote was extremely competitive and he said he could have a crew start right away. The paint, like the siding, is top shelf and we couldn't be happier. Within 7 days, our house went from the worst on the block to the best on the block. It looks like new construction. I highly recommend VSI and will reach out to them for all future work. Scott and his team are dedicated, personable, and professional. They made the entire project as headache-free as possible and I really can't say enough good about them. Scott, the owner, and his team just finished our project this week. Scott was personally onsite every day to review the work and provide updates along with way. The communication was amazing. Everything was completed on-time and was certainly reasonably priced. We've had issues with melted and faded vinyl siding and they replaced the whole front of our house with hardie plank and color matched from the rest of the vinyl exterior. I previously called and received quotes from a dozen+ companies over several months and couldn't find anyone to actually show up. It meant a lot to find a small business that lives and works in the Snoqualmie valley. In just a couple days we've already had 3 neighbors ask for their information. Valley Siding, now under the name of VSI I believe, has done a number of jobs in our neighborhood, with good recommendations, including for a neighbor directly across the street earlier this summer. We asked for an estimate for outside trim and garage door painting. The estimate was acceptable, and the company said if we could wait until September, that would be really helpful. No problem. A date was selected for the work, was confirmed less than a month out, and then was confirmed again by phone 3 days out to start Monday morning. Sounds great. Because of the confirmations we both rearranged our schedules, cancelled work for one of us, and were up bright and early on this clear and sunny day, awaiting the arrival of VSI. No show! Calls were met with multiple excuses, including "we have a big siding job," "men, sometimes they don't keep to schedules very well," and the weather. The weather is perfect for starting an outside job, that includes power washing. Lots of excuses, and no explanation at all for why no one called to say they weren't coming. Just more excuses. To add to the frustration, it turned out they were working on a siding project 3 doors away, and could have walked over to explain the situation or offer an apology. We have each spent over 30 years in the service business and know that the absolute number one necessity when dealing with customers is good communication. Please read a previous review I've written about a local contractor, who 100% of the time showed up on time and called promptly, even if he was going to be less than 5 minutes late. We recently had the pleasure of working with VSI for a siding repair job as we prepare to put our home on the market. After receiving multiple bids from a variety of other siding companies, most of which wanted to go well beyond what was needed (reside entire walls or home!), VSI offered a very fair bid and kept the scope to just the areas of the siding that needed it. We had the infamous LP T1-11 siding failures in a few areas and needed to get these replaced with the main caveat being this siding was on the side of the home with all the utilities attached to it, power, cable, telephone, electric, gas and some other cables. It was a very technical job to accomplish working around these while sliding the new siding underneath and securing properly. We could not be more pleased with how it came out. They painted it and you can not even tell there was ever any siding work done! To top it off, they came to work in less than ideal conditions...we are at higher elevation (1100 ft) and received 40+ inches of snow in the big storm in Feb. Things had barely melted when they began but they were able to work with the deep snow and frigid temperatures. Scott and his crew, Stacy, Fred and Victor were very attentive to detail and showed a great level of skill with all of the challenges presented. The team worked together well and Scott made sure all details were handled and walked through things at end of job to make sure we were satisfied. All in all we would definitely recommend VSI for any siding work you may be considering, especially when other companies only want to do "bigger" jobs or oversell you on things. Removed very old cedar siding from out home then resided, replaced all the windows and painted. Went above and beyond making everything look fantastic on our old house that has had multiple remodels.
