    Hall Bathroom remodel

We are very pleased with the experience and outcome with Skyline on two bathroom remodels. Elias was thorough and helpful in the quoting process. He was able to start work quickly and had our hall bathroom complete within a few weeks of coming to quote. The master bath was a larger job including adding one wall, removing another and vaulting the ceiling. His team was professional and courteous. The quote was very reasonable and there were no surprise expenses. Would be happy to work with him again.

We are very happy with the work Elias and his team did with the remodeling of our two decks! Elias was flexible to work with especially when it came to negotiating sourcing supplies and working within our budget and expectations. He was prompt at communicating and updating us on the project. He also offered great design suggestions for our deck, which we ended up using. Rick, the guy in charge of the deck, gave me honest feedback and explanation about the installation process - he was particularly determined to make sure everything was done precisely! Elias thoroughly answered all my questions and concerns with patience. Thank you for a job well done!

    Bathroom #2 after

Elias and his team did a great job! We are first time homeowners and we purchased a very old (105 years) and very quirky (full of old DIY repairs) house. The pictures speak for themselves - it needed a facelift! Elias came to give us an estimate and actually suggested taking out the kitchen wall as well as some other layout improvements we hadn't thought of. His estimate was significantly less than any other estimate we received. Every project in our house came with about 5 unexpected surprises and Elias handled all of them with our budget in mind. He made several safety updates that weren't part of the initial work order and we still came in at budget. Since the project has been completed we've noticed a couple things here and there - Elias does not delay in getting somebody over to take care of loose ends. Our renovations didn't always go smoothly due in part to our very old and challenging house and in part to a bit of confusion/disorganization in materials ordering. (I recommend seeking a lot of clarity on what materials you're responsible for and when you need to have them on site) Even with the bumps in the road, the team's problem solving and Elias' quick communication assured everything came together beautifully.

    Our new decks look amazing!

These guys are amazing, theyre fast, but also do amazing work! Hugely recommend if you have small or big projects to get done! I called and reached out to over 10 general contractors and this one one of the only ones that were resonably priced, got back to me right away, and could get started super quick!

    New bathroom

Elias and his team did a wonderful job remodeling my bathroom. There was significant damage to the shower wall and floor. They made sure to replace the studs, insulation, etc., so the new shower and flooring will last a long time. I selected the tile, paint, vanity, etc., and everything installed is exactly what I asked for. The people that came in to my home were very kind and patient with my children's curiosity. Everyone was friendly and I could tell that doing high quality work is important to them. The work that was done is beautiful. I was so impressed watching the process for the tile. Everything was measured accurately and lined up perfectly. It's beautiful. I highly recommend Skyline Contracting Services.

If this is your 1st time buying or installing stone do not step into these waters. If you choose to ignore that advice, you do so at your own financial peril. I have been buying granite here for 11 years. Twice my order has both been cut correctly and ready when I showed up. Seriously, 2 times out of maybe 20. You have to measure your stone before it is loaded, inspect corners and edges. There have been a few times when I provided a template and the cuts we still off. MEASURE BEFORE YOU LEAVE. If it is wrong and you leave, they will not fix and you will not get a refund or credit. Will not. As stated, stone prices are cheap, there is little to no haggle room on the stone, but they make their profit in fabrication: the cuts. Be aware of that when you are discussing cost. There is also wide margin on their sinks, fixtures and cabinets - especially vanities. The cabinets are plywood flat packs and quality is in line with IKEA. I would advise against a cabinet purchase here, but I am a cabinet maker so I am by nature bias. They put gas the glue for a couple weeks and some people hate that smell. In summary: cheaply priced, but quality stone, zero customer service during or after the sale, and it is on you to make sure it is all correct.

I go into their store, select the slab I want, give them the specs, and pay for my stone countertop. I'm told that they will try to get it done for me by the end of the week. They use the word "try" because it's a short week (being the July 4th weekend.) I do understand when they tell me they're too busy that week, but they'll get it for me as quickly the following week as possible. When the following week arrives, I'm then told that it won't be ready until Friday. I very patiently explain that I live out on the Hood Canal, and that Friday is the worst possible day to navigate back and forth from the Hood Canal. I then leave two or three messages for Casey (the point guy as far as preparing my order is concerned.) Naturally, I am wanting to move things up a day or two, but Casey does not return any of my calls. I'm then told once again that my order is scheduled to be done on Friday. I tell the fellow on the phone that I will be in either Monday or Tuesday to collect it, as Friday is a nightmare for Seattle/Hood Canal traffic. When I arrive on Tuesday, I am greeted by a gentleman who immediately complains that everyone wants to pick up their order on the same day and at the same time. He then informs me that I was supposed to pick it up on Friday, as that was what I said I was going to do. As I really wasn't looking for an argument, I simply told this fellow that his version of the story wasn't really accurate. He then argues with me before helping me load the material into my SUV. Please note that it was only a 27" x 25" piece, and no special material handling equipment was necessary. He simply had to pick it up off a table and slide it into my vehicle. Took about two minutes (if that.) Now, why he had to carry on about me not picking it up when I supposedly said I would, (which of course wasn't the case,) and trying to make me feel bad is anyone's guess. What he succeeded in doing was making me feel bad that I picked Stone World to deal with. For my part, I simply told him "All's well that ends well." I didn't come into his store with a chip on my shoulder demanding why he didn't have it ready for me in a timely manner, or asking for an apology that nobody called me back. What was the point in telling me I was a bad customer. If he was trying to convince me never to shop for stone at Stone World anymore, then that's exactly what he accomplished. By the by, never even got a thank you on that day for my business.

Two other quotes for exactly the same job, same stone, and same edge/cutout work were at least $1800 higher because they required I buy two slabs. All the slabs are serial numbered and when I told Jay at MD what type of stone I had selected, he knew he had a partial slab in his yard and he also knew that MSI had the sequential sister slab too. Jay had great examples of his work and I am very glad I stopped in for my kitchen and bath counters.
