I would give zero stars if I could. This has been one of the worst purchasing experiences I've had. I purchased Nike Streakfly 2 shoes less than two weeks ago for my 11-year-old daughter, and they are already falling apart after just TWO uses on an indoor track. That is not normal wear and tear--that points to a defective product or raises serious concerns about authenticity. At this point, these shoes are either defective or fake--because this level of breakdown after two uses is unacceptable for any Nike product. What makes this even worse is the complete lack of customer service. When I initially reached out, VS Athletics refused to return or exchange the item. No resolution. No accountability. Now, I am just receiving a response **FOUR MONTHS later**, which is unacceptable. A delayed response like this does nothing to resolve the issue and only highlights how poorly customers are treated. This is completely unacceptable for any retailer, especially one selling performance gear for young athletes. Parents should not be spending money on products that fail almost immediately and then be ignored for months. **Update (in response to management):** Your response is inaccurate. I did attempt to return/exchange the item and was refused. I am still willing to return the shoes--feel free to contact me at [candacejbrewer@gmail.com] to resolve this. You claim the items are not fake, but you are not an authorized Nike dealer as your website indicates according to Nike. That leaves customers without support from Nike when products are defective--which is exactly the situation I'm now in. I was in need of weightlifting shoes. Shoes are one of those things that I would feel much better about buying and trying on in person. This store is super tiny and initially kind of hard to find. They don' have a HUGE variety of shoes, just white and black. But the shoes do fit differently, so I'm glad I was able to try them on. They are only open during the weekday and only business hours so I had to make time to go there. The sales guy was pretty helpful. I guess that VS is primarily an online company so they have a lot of sizes just not a huge style selection. A few tips when trying on weightlifting shoes. Worst customer service I have ever had. I call in about an order I placed a week ago for 2 day shipping as it was a gift for the holidays. I call and they tell me "your credit card was not charged since we ran out of stock in your size." Firstly, they did charge my card and secondly they did NOT send me any emails (I checked my junk and spam mind you) that my order was not placed. They claim to notify people of any problems with orders but all I got was a rude customer service agent on the phone. This is a small store with great stuff! I bought my first throwing shoes here and I loved it. However, they do sell other shoes for pole vault, running, etc. They also sell some clothes. My favorite part of the store is that they sell older models of shoes. Yes, it's old, but for those who don't want to buy brand new $150 shoes, you can buy a pair of a year old never worn shoe for $50. If you're nice, you might even get a discount. Great service. They had exactly what I needed (shot put shoes) and a variety to choose from. I was looking everywhere for the shoes online, dicks, Big 5, etc. No one had them let alone a selection. Well a selection in my sons size 13. Which is not that drastic a size to not have any. I also bought a Book on shot put and discus. Some clearance gear that was good quality and inexpensive. Went here to purchase proper weightlifting shoes for myself and for my woman as an Xmas gift. I didn't want to have to deal with ordering online and possibly having to send items back for different sizes (I traced a sole outline of her Chuck Taylors for sizing). The young man working the counter was helpful and knowledgeable about the product. They had both our sizes in stock. They also carry track and field gear, while I wasn't in the market for that, I did see that they had a lot of gear available. The only downside is that the location is in a more industrial area and the signage out front isn't super visible, it took me a couple passes to find it. read more

I ordered my VS Athletics Weightlifting Shoes about 2 weeks ago. I was skeptical of the quality and durability because of the extremely low price (compared to Nike Romaleo's or Adidas Adistars), but much to my surprise, these shoes are incredibly robust and sturdy. I've been pounding the floor in Clean and Jerks and the shoes show no sign of coming apart, even in the slightest. This is my first pair of weightlifting shoes, but would definitely buy these again if I had to do it all over. Another helpful design factor in the shoes is the width. I have a foot that only fits in 11.5 - 4E shoes. That's a very wide foot. However, even on the first day of wearing the shoes, I had no discomfort due to narrowness. Another quality worth mentioning is the prompt and helpful customer service (via phone). The VS staff were exceptionally nice and knowledgeable. I would recommend VS weightlifting shoes to anyone who wants to get serious about Olympic weightlifting or powerlifting. read more

This company has the worst customer service ever. We placed an order with them for their april fools sale the day it started (which was actually a day or so before april 1) for over $600 in merchandise. One item we purchased among these was a 16lb cantabrian hammer that my husband and I were giving as a high school graduation gift for a thrower of ours to take to college with him. He graduated just this past weekend so we figured we were ordering plenty early enough. Boy did we think WRONG! we made arrangements to pick all our items up the day after we ordered them at their office in Torrance, CA since we live in Las Vegas, NV but were going to a meet in Pomona, CA so we went out of our way to pick up the items. Well we were talked to very rudely by on of their employees when we called to make sure they were open on Saturday for us to grab our stuff and we were told NO they weren't even though we were told the day before they were going to be open on Saturday. She didn't care at all that another employee told us they would be open and didn't even apologize. She blamed us for everything. Finally she agreed to meet us and gave us her number to call when we were 15 minutes away. Well we were early and called with no answer. We left a message with no return call to us. Then we sent multiple text messages and call a couple more times. We waited almost an hour for someone to get a hold of us and no one did. then I left a message with customer service about this problem and no one ever called us back. so I let a few days go by and they never returned my call. then my husband called and was told they would do nothing about it, it wasn't their fault and if we wanted our stuff he was told he had to pay the shipping. SCREW THAT! not happening. I called back and told them it was their fault they never showed up and asked how far the owner and this employee lived and they each lived less than 1 mile away in each direction. Really its too hard to drive a mile for customer to give them over $600 in merchandise the just purchased from you. WOW. so finally the owner was told we lived out of state, which was told to the employee as well and he had the stuff shipped the next day. BUT our cantabrian hammer was being shipped separately. We were not told why, but that it was. Well a month and a half go by and no hammer. So I call the company and am put on hold quite a few times and then finally someone answers me and tells me they are on hold with cantabrian themselves trying to find out where our hammer was and would call me back as soon as he figured It out. Guess WHAT? no call back. 2 1/2 weeks go by and I call them back to see what is up. I am put on hold I don't remember how many times and most of the time they would pick up the line and immediately put me back on hold without even talking to me so I pretty much knew they were doing it on purpose because they had no answers. finally I hang up. they called me right back and gave me the crap story that they had the wrong address and it was shipped to the wrong place even though we only have one address on file with them and our 2 other shipments from them made it correctly. FUNNY. SO they say we are shipping that out and It should be to you by Wednesday, 5 days when we I talked to them. well Wednesday came and went and no hammer so I call and ask to talk directly with the owner who is in a meeting and calls me about 20min later. he says im sorry for the mix up and we will get this sent out to you tomorrow. well he was right, they sent it to us the next day. but instead of it being the black 16lb cantabrain hammer that I reminded them of numerous times that we ordered and paid for, they sent us an ATE 16lb hammer that was cheaper than what we paid for and THEY DONT EVEN CARRY ATE HAMMERS!!!!! so where the hell did they get this hammer. so I call and left a message on sunday and guess what NO RESPONSE!! Big friggin surprise. WORST COMPANY EVER! and they are liars. NEVER will we shop with them again. And no one we know (which is many) will ever deal with them again. so when looking around for equipment or shoes or anything else track and field related go to first to the finish or east bay or everything track and field and pay a little less for a LOT less STRESS and HEADACHE!!! heck even walmart sells shot puts. I would go there first before vs athletics again. GO POUND SAND! The hammer we ordered was the black 16lb cantabrian hammer that was on your website, not the stack house yellow ate hammer you sent us that isn't on your website. You don't even sell the ate on your website so why would you send it to us. Plus you owe us a black 16 lb cantabrian hammer or you owe us $20 since that was the difference in what we paid and the merchandise we actually received. You sent us something we didn't order. Why don't you try looking at our invoice because it clearly states we bought almost 2 months ago the black cantabrian 16lb men's hammer! You are seriously the worst company ever. read more

Do not order shoes from here and expect them to ship in a timely manner. Contacting customer service does not help either. Shoes are listed on their website that they do not actually have in stock. The shoes ship from the manufacturer who is in no hurry to fill and ship order. read more
