Great store with great product. Staff is very helpful. Known the owner for years. Will literally give his shirt of his back for anyone.

All that's left is Big 5 and Dick's. REI doesn't count, as they're too niche. This location has a lot of merchandise and it's inherent problem is the aesthetics of the layout of the store. It's way too crowded and cramped for shopping and could use an expansion and makeover where it feels well-lit and spacious. It's sort of the difference between Target and Wal-Mart. I think Big 5 could use new branding as a company. It's a good store with good prices. They do "over coupon" as Bed Bath and Beyond did. You can always anticipate a $5 off of $15 type value-pac FSI mailer coupon and almost won't shop without a coupon. It's a longterm flawed business strategy. Their prices are quite good in many ways. I went shopping for shoes and they had shoes on sale for $30-40 where I went next door to DSW and most of their comparable shoes were $50-55. You'd think DSW whose only business is selling shoes, would have a competitive edge, but it doesn't and didn't, at least for active/athletic shoes compared to Big 5. I'd say check Big 5 out first or last, but don't buy any shoes until you've visited a Big 5 like this one. Parking is fairly easy in this outdoor strip mall of sort, that has a Sizzler, Harbor Freight and other businesses.

Dick's Sporting Goods is Dick's Sporting Goods, if you know what I mean. Any Dick's you go into,…read morethey always are offering very similar items. Some locations have a little bit more of something specific than another location may have, but it always feels very much the same the moment you step into one of the stores. This location is no different. Located right off of PCH in El Segundo, this business is fairly easy to find. It's near the back of the shopping complex, if you're looking for it. As it is such a large shopping complex, with a lot of different businesses, they have a super large parking lot, so parking should never be an issue. Once inside, what you'll find is the sporting goods and the activity goods that you would expect to find at Dick's. They have a little bit of everything. For the very astute professional, in the various sporting fields, they may not have the exacting item that you are looking for. But, for the novice in any field, they pretty much have something at least to get you started. Of course, they have tons of activewear, shoes, sunglasses, all of the various needs for all of the various sports that you can think of. It's just as simple as that. The staff here are all super nice and helpful. They're happy to guide you and help you with any need you may have. Overall, if you need some sporting goods, and you want to get it at a one-stop location, this is your place to do it.

And, like just about everywhere else these days, the prices are high. If I'm going to pay premium prices, I at least expect to be able to find an employee when I need assistance. The store itself is fine, but the customer service definitely needs improvement.

Kazumichi, won't have gear at this time and i don't want to speak for him but at this point in time he doesn't want to meet anyone anymore due to personal reasons. The website stated the items were on backorder for 5 months. After waiting out the 5 months, I emailed winningUSA for an update, but they never replied to me. Since I paid using PayPal, I eventually contacted them to open a dispute just to ask about the status of my gloves. Finally winningUSA emailed me back. Instead of offering an apology or an update, they told me that because I open a dispute, my order was being cancelled and I was officially blacklisted from ordering from them again. I honestly couldn't believe it. I paid a thousand dollars just to get treated like a peasant. I actually like winning gear, but this behavior was completely out of pocket. I hope they change how they treat their customers in the future. If you are thinking about ordering from them, be prepared to buy your item and wait who knows how long to actually get your glove assuming they don't cancel your order first.

The girl said yes. I verified. You have them there right? I want to come see them and buy them. She said yes I'm looking at them. I get there and they don't have them. They say I can go to Culver City. Yeah That's why that mall won't last and the brick and mortar stores are closing. Bad service. This Champs is very much like any other Champs that I have been to. What's different though is how they handle their shoe raffles. Like every other store that holds raffles (not just Champs), they give you a call and you need to pick up the phone or they move on to the next raffle winner and you are out of luck. Anyways, they gave me a call and I picked up. Here's the strange part. I was ready to hang up after hearing the guy tell me that I had won but he went on to say that i needed to tell him what time I was coming in to pick up the shoes because I only get an hour window to pick them up (it is my understanding that this recent raffle had the same rules for all the stores which stated that shoes could be picked up from 8am-6pm) Next he asked for my ticket number (i've probably entered 30 raffles during the year and NOT ONE has asked for this). When I told they guy I'd just bring the ticket when I came to pick up the shoes the following day, he said it was a problem. He then wanted my drivers license number, DOB, and address since I didn't have the ticket on me. WTF!!
