The room was AMAZING if you are a fan of Borderlands, but still really fun as a regular escape room if you aren't (2 people in our group didn't really play Borderlands, but still had a wonderful time!). NO SPOILERS, don't worry! The puzzle was considered a 6/10 on the difficulty scale, but we just wanted to have a good time with friends, so that was perfect! We had 4 adults, but I think kids would really like this room too! It starts out a little dark, so using your phone flashlight is DEFINITELY allowed, but the puzzles were so fun, and there were hints everywhere to find, exactly like an escape room should be! Thanks for the fun birthday experience, Julian and Red Door!

I really like the TV screens that offer hints, let you know when you're close, or tell you when you're super off-base. I also like that they let you choose if you want that. My husband and I did the Last Stop room for a date night and it was such a fun way to mix things up from dinner and movie. Then my kids became obsessed with escape rooms, so we did the Fair Game with 5 adults + 2 kids. We asked for unlimited clues and were able to escape with some help on the tougher puzzles.

Our game was the pirate themed Depths of Osiris (check out the preview vids on YouTube), and it was perfect for a team of an adult and two ten year olds. My boys had no trouble getting used to the VR gear they had to wear for the experience (a headset and two hand controllers - it was their first time). We had to cooperate to solve each room's puzzle to unlock a new room. Eventually, we got to the final scenario which was exciting and really required us to collaborate. The puzzles were well constructed and mostly understandable from a logic perspective. The graphics and sound were pretty decent (it's not super-high res like Cyberpunk) and matched the gameplay perfectly. We got some timely tips from the game master too, and cleared the puzzle with about a minute left on our 45 minute timer. The facilities are super clean and well maintained. They also have snacks and drinks which are nice to make the visit special for younger kids. My sons want to come back, and I do too. I also heard they are adding a physical escape room, so definitely something to look forward to.

Such a fun experience! A mix of escape room and whimsical virtual reality - what a refreshing way…read moreto reinvent both worlds. I've been to Diablo Escapes twice now and have always been impressed by the customer service. Make sure you get there 15-20 minutes early so you have time to finish any waivers and get your packs set up for the room. There is an adjacent parking lot so you shouldn't have any issue finding any spot. You can easily book online and see what difficulty level each game is. If you've done VR or escape rooms before, you can probably start with intermediate. Each game will require some communication and teamwork to solve challenges or other puzzles. It can get a little hectic, so make sure you mesh well with your group (truly). The VR component really makes you feel like you've been transported to another place - be warned that it can make you feel a little queasy if you're not used to it, but the staff are great in making sure you are comfortable. They're quick to help troubleshoot if you get stuck or anything. Highly recommend if you're looking for a fun group outing. We went over to philz coffee after and then went to Bare Bottle Brewing for some lunch and drinks.

Excellent place for a family event…read more Our ten-strong family did the Prison Break room a couple of weeks ago. We booked a 4 pm slot on a Sunday afternoon (it cost $300) and were the only ones there, besides our host, a laid-back, helpful young gentleman. The room was a bit claustrophobic at first with the ten of us crammed into a tiny "Jail Cell" - we had an hour to "escape" before the warden returned, and I had to will myself to not stare at the clock counting down the seconds, like in the TV show "24." Fortunately, this wasn't our first rodeo, and remembering epic failures from escape room misadventures in the past, everyone just got to it - communicating loudly, solving puzzles and deciphering clues, which allowed us to unlock more puzzles and clues, which in turn led to codes and keys which opened fiddly little locks. Everyone got involved and contributed, from the youngest (8-year old) to the oldest (80-year old) in our multi-generational family. We had a blast, moving from room to room, asking for answers from our host when we were stumped, and making steady progress till we were free - with almost ten minutes to spare. We were all smiles when taking the obligatory post-escape room photo. The Toy Box escape room beckons. We will be back!
