I can't say enough good things about Outer Limits! The customer service is amazing. The staff is really friendly and informative. They welcomed us with smiles and made us instantly feel comfortable. Branden helped us out tonight. He was super patient and they never made us feel rushed. This is my boys third time here and my first time. They each played 30 minutes of VR a piece. The pricing is what you'd expect for the quality of the stations, the game selection and the customer service. Tonight was the first time they launched their event called "Friday Night Friendlies". It's for gamers of all skill levels to come and share in a little friendly competition. There were games like Super Smash Brothers, Fortnite and Mario Kart. It is from 6-8 on Friday nights and only $5 per person. I'm sure my boys will be back for more! read more

like this place but it seems like it just keeps getting more and more expensive. I don't know if maybe we got a deal the first few times we came or what, but apparently it is $45 per hour on the weekends now and $25 per hour during the week. My kid likes this place and the memory lane games are much less expensive but you know you want to come here for the VR although Super Mario bros is awesome lol. It's just a lot to pay nearly $100 for 2 hours man. I'm probably just going to buy my own for what Im paying. It's only a couple Gs for the set up and I actually think that the setup that they have here is cheaper than that I think it's only a few hundred. So it would definitely be worth it to just buy it myself read more

Outer Limits Virtual Reality - Weekends are expensive $45 per hour... Def coming on the weekday next time. My son lives this place but it's killing my wallet lol - Virtual Reality Centers Near Me - Vacaville, California

I'm so obsessed with this place!! Let's start off with how their hygienic practices are so excellent! They have bottles of hand sanitizer everywhere. They also wipe down the VR gear after each use with disinfectant wipes. The owner, Josh is super friendly and has great customer service. Now, let's talk about the VR games!! Beat Saber is my favorite game hands down! It's like fruit ninja and dance dance revolution in one! My 2nd time there, I did Beat Saber the whole time! There are other really fun games which can be multi-player and they're so entertaining. Memory Lane is really neat. They have all the old Nintendo games like Mario Kart and more. It's so cool to see those whole box TVs! I'll definitely be back and will bring my family and friends to enjoy as well! read more

It was the first time for my boyfriend and I to experience virtual reality. We had a great time! I booked a station for the both of us for an hour. The staff was really helpful in showing us how to play certain games and when we wanted to switch using the goggles. When we were leaving, they told us to book 2 booths so that we could play together the next time we come in. read more

I dont normally give out five stars because any business can improve, but this place gets one. One word- Awesomesauce! Yeah thats one word! I walked by it a few times, didn't realize it was an Arcade, I kept thinking they sold VR equipment kinda like a Radio Shack or something. Finally I walked in and asked... Its a Full Arcade, without the old terrible games and dirty tokens. They have rows of Play stations, Xboxes, And A whole row of present and past time games! But the main event is the Virtual Reality Games. At first I was like uhh.. I dont like VR Goggles that you strap Cell phones too, but I figured Id try it with my Son, why not. Paid $50 for an Hour, but me and my son split the time. Once they hook you up on a dark room and turn on the game you will be amazed. They strap on ear phones, a head gear, remotes in both your hands. Its full On VR Gear! When they turn it on You are in the game! Like anywhere you look! You see your hands and or weapons, you can grab stuff throw stuff you name it depending on the game. I kept walking around by accident and forgot I was even in the room for awhile. I played a Multiplayer one called Quiver with my son and Saw his character next to me interacting with me. My son Waves hos hands at me and then covers my back during a battle. Its so real! I played another one that was also Multiplayer and it was even better- forgot the name. I came back another day and my son did his own Job Training Game and Parkour, while I played an Adult zombie game, something similar to resident evil. I was scared twice no joke. I turn around, turn on my flashlight, and a Zombie was at my face. So Awesome! Well anyways sorry for the long review but U have to go here! Worth the money! As for What they should improve: More Virtual Stations or Book Appointment Slots. Party's are great for business I am sure, but not for walk ins that drove across town and have to wait, so maybe doing a time slot reservation program or something? They recently changed it to where you can change your own games, so thats cool they don't have to do it for you. Maybe a frequent player program to cut down on costs for repeat customers would be a good thing too. Attention Yelpers! Check this place out! read more

My special needs son has worked hard at school to earn this place as a reward and I must say this is the best reward ever!! Brandon and Joey we're very welcoming and accommodating! They worked with my child individually and even played 2 players with him. My son wants a job here but unfortunately he's only 8, this to him is his dream MAN job! We are definitely returning, thanks to the dream team at VR! read more

My family and I were not exactly sure what to expect when we walked through the door of a new business in Vacaville, "Outer Limits," except that we knew it had something to do with virtual reality (V.R.). The lights were dim, the walls dark, the beautiful floor in a black/blue hue, and I felt like I was in a cool cave. Three separate VR stations, each with special goggles and controls and a screen on the wall so that bystanders could see what the person wearing the goggles was experiencing, were ready to go. However, what showed up on the flat screen was nothing compared to the VR goggles show! Three of us started with the underwater ocean program, "the Blu." Personally, this program took my breath away! I found myself in a 360° surround with 3-D effect in vibrant colors. The schools of tropical fish, jellyfish and colorful flower-like anemones beckoning to me left me dazed and amazed. Overhead were giant jellyfish slowly floating by; below were huge turtles gliding effortlessly on their way. My son wanted more action, and I saw that he was highly engaged, shooting scary little critters which were attacking him. He was moving and firing in all directions! We all had a great time and can highly recommend the Outer Limits experience. Outer Limits V.R. Is a great way to entertain any visitors who come calling - - of any age. Children/grandchildren who want to spice up their recreation in the summertime when boredom can easily strike, would find this V.R. business center a fun place! My advice: check it out; you will not be disappointed! read more

I should've written this review sooner. My family had such a fun time with this rental service a month ago! It was a last minute impulse decision to rent the Oculus Quest 2, I'm not a gamer and was a bit nervous, but I'm so happy I did! It was very simple and intuitive to use and it came preloaded with MANY fun games. We were able to play as much as we wanted in the privacy of our home. I loved my experience so much I ended up buying a Quest of my own. The owner was great at communicating and was kind enough to give us an extra complimentary day with the device. It was such a fun weekend I recommend Outer Limits to anyone wanting to dip their feet in VR! It's fun for all ages. read more

This place is awsome. Good family fun and at a fair price. Definitely recommend it and will be returning!

I went here for my company's annual party and this place is AWESOME. If you like video games, they got something for you. Retro to the latest stuff. The VR games are amazing. They have games for thrill seekers, shooters, survivalists, and even kids! I'll be coming back with my family! read more

Joey and Krystal were great hosts and very patient. Service was a 10. They accommodated me and my son and even stayed open later than usual so me and my son could bond with this out-of-this-world experience. I would definenlty recommend this VR studio for continued use. The pricing is very reasonable and fair. Equipment is top-notch and I will be coming back to "kill some zombies in the future!" Thank you Outer Limits VR!! read more

Most awesome place I've been in ages. VR is the next big thing in gaming, but it's so expensive! Nice to have a place nearby that sells time in the systems as a service. They have really friendly staff who help out quite a bit, and some refreshments to help prepare you for war in QuiVr, or take on the zombies in Brookhaven. I highly advise trying Ritchies Plank Experience or Zombie Training Simulator. You feel like you're really there in the game! ^_^ Also the big space they have for the stations is quite nice. Allows for a lot of movement. read more

Wow! My first visit and first experience with VR. Went with a companion and we both left there feeling like we had a major shot of adrenaline. A place to go if you're feeling a bit down. Really. Very realistic experience, so much so I couldn't bring myself to step off of a "cliff". Had an almost-peed-in-the-pants experience with the roller coaster. I cannot believe my heart withstood that experience. Incredible. Visually breathtaking. I'm determined to return many time in order to conquer my fears and leap off of tall buildings and"fly." It's gonna make me feel like I'm flying, I know this. The underwater experience is something NEVER to be missed. Unbelievable. A special cheer to the wonderfully, friendly helpful and patient staff, and especially to Joey, who I cannot thank enough for sort of holding my hand during this journey. Absolutely Delightful! read more

This is one of my sons favorite places. And I'm happy about that. The staff is absolutely wonderful and very helpful whether it's your first time or you're experienced and just looking for what's new. They have a memory lane, with all the old gaming systems you can play for a half an hour for $5. You can't beat that, worth it for the nostalgia alone. read more

This place is fantastic. What a great addition to Vacaville! Preteen birthdays can be difficult to plan for. After doing some research and talking to my 11 year old, this place was were he wanted to celebrate. They have 4 VR stations and endless retro games. The boys had so much fun. Brenden and the other girl who was working during our party, are the main reason the party was such a success. They were completely attentive and made sure all the boys were safe during VR and helped them, as many of them were first timers. I would highly recommend this place for a party and even just to come in for an hour or so and play some video games. Thank you again Outer Limits! We had a great time! read more

Outer Limits VR rentals are great! Josh is a great ambassador for this business and we had a great time renting the VR set. We rented a VR set for a week and I felt the price was a great value. I recommend the 1-week rental to try them out. I had been thinking of buying an Occulus VR set and we liked it a lot but realized we're not quite ready to buy a brand new VR set yet. This service essentially saved me hundreds of dollars. read more

This was our second visit. The first was to check the place out and see if my son liked it and wanted to have his birth day here. The second was the birthday party. Both visits the staff was informative and helpful. It can be a bit intimidating when you don't know what your walking into. The party was a success. There were some technical glitches that took up some our paid time. The employees were aware enough to add some extra minutes at the end to make up for the lost time without me having to ask. They were there to help on every game and keep the boys moving. It seems like there is still a learning curve with the updating the newer games and getting the multiplayer games to sync with each player. There were some crashes and having to reboot systems, but like I said, they made up that time. Overall very happy with my experiences there and would go back. read more

We took our team for a virtual reality experience here in town. What a great experience! They have multiple virtual reality stations as well as individual gaming stations with all of your favorite games. They had all different types of game consoles including the original Nintendo, GameCube and others. Lots of fun for our teen group, the staff was very accommodating and helpful. The overall experience was great and look forward to returning to this fun place. read more

This was so much fun. We did a joint celebration for my son's 13th birthday and my daughter's 8th birthday. Everyone had so much fun, even the parents. There were games for the different ages and different types to choose from. Everyone was able to do something. The staff was so friendly, helpful and really made the experience great. I've never done virtual reality before, and have now experienced it twice at Outer Limits and I wouldn't change a single thing! Joey and Crystal were so welcoming and you could tell that they really enjoy working here. They were both so helpful and patient to teach me about how to use the controls and answered any of my questions whenever I needed them. I am DEFINITELY going to come back! I live about 1.5 hours away, but the drive is worth it!! Great customer service, comfy couch, snacks, and awesome games! What more could you ask for?? read more

This is AMAZING!!!! I'm not one for gaming but this is such a COOL FUN EXHILERATING experience. NOTHING LIKE IT. You will not be disappointed. Joey is great. He will set you up and away you go. Branden is also quite helpful. You'd have to be dead not to have fun with this. read more

Do not let the pricing shock you, there is a ton of value here. We rented out 3 stations for 2 hours with 10 players, which worked really well. The owners are awesome and really accommodating. I recently had the opportunity to try out the services from Outer Limits Virtual Reality. With the current covid-19 measures going on the owner Josh a great offer where he delivers the system to your home and you can rent it and use it in your own comfortable space. We rented it for the entire weekend and it was extremely easy to not only setup but also use. The games available are all a great variety and what is even better is that they all have a range of physical activity attached to them. There is a boxing simulation that really makes you like a boxer and even a Star Wars one where you use a lightsaber. There are educational simulators as well. If you are looking for something fun for you and the family especially with being sheltered at home I highly recommend you try this out for the family or even yourself. Will definitely be using their services again. read more

Outer limit is the next best experience in the Vacaville and Fairfield area. The staff is super friendly and they are always willing to help show you how to play the games. Outer Limits was an absolute treat and a much needed improvement to Vacaville's gaming community. What a hilarious and welcoming staff with affordable prices. Found this place on Groupon for my kids. They do have a height requirement so ask about that ahead of time. My son is 5 and he was too small to play VR but they have tons of gaming systems that he was able to play while he waited for us. There are a lot of games and the experience is so real. I played a zombie apocalypse game and my heart was beating out of my chest! Mason helped us get set up, explained everything so perfect and patiently, and was so knowledgeable in recommending games that suited me. read more

I've tried twice now to go to Outer Limits with a friend from work. I used to work in VR, and was excited to show him what a Vive could do after talking it up. We arrived at noon (our lunch) to discover that the business didn't open until 1:00 PM. Odd business hours (especially during summertime) but not unheard of, and definitely our fault for not checking online. We returned a few weeks later, this time at 1:00, taking a late lunch to match with the business hours. This time we were greeted by an empty and dark storefront yet again, with a small "Back at 3:30" sign posted on the door. Guess they really don't want our money. I know people are trying to to cash in on a widely unexplored business opportunity, but it seems this place is missing out on the key word in that idea: business. Can't make money if you aren't open. Would love to give this place a shot and raise my review, but for now I'll be going somewhere more reliable to show off VR to friends and family. read more
