He took my playlist that I made, added songs from his own experience and expertise, and absolutely killed it. I had multiple guests come up to me and say how good the dance music was. We had a smaller after party inside our venue that we wanted to be more EDM focused, and he exceeded our expectations of keeping the party going and keeping the energy high. And as our MC during the reception, he guided the timeline effortlessly, keeping everything moving smoothly and on schedule while still letting the night feel relaxed and natural. His announcements were clear and upbeat, never over-the-top, and always aligned with the tone of our celebration. TLDR; DJ Leon Lee is amazing!! We had a fantastic experience finding a DJ through Vox DJs. After submitting an inquiry, we received a neat price breakdown PDF which outlined the package pricing for their different tiers of DJ/MC services. After reviewing their DJ profiles, we knew we had to go with Leon Lee (aka DJ Leon de La $co) because his music taste and vibes were exactly what we were looking for. We couldn't have been happier with our choice to have Leon be our DJ/MC for our wedding in San Diego. He brought the BEST energy and vibes to the party. Personally as I'm on the shyer/introverted side I was anxious about the dance floor leading up to the wedding but Leon's professionalism and experience really shined, because it was a massive success! Booking VOX was an easy experience from the start. I like how organized their company was and how you can choose from DJs of different experiences and styles. The videos they have online that show off the DJ's music styles and personality were super helpful. I was sadly unable to connect with the DJ we liked before we booked him. I feel like that should have been a sign. Our DJ we booked was quite late for our event and we did not have music playing upon our guests arrival. Our coordinator gave him an earful when he arrived, but he got it going shortly after arrival. The speeches during dinner service were not heard by half the guests, I wish I was told to get another speaker to help improve the audio quality. Overall, it was a great time and our DJ brought good vibes with him. We made several changes to our timeline a few weeks up until our wedding and our DJ was able to execute what we wanted when we wanted it. After researching the different options, we felt VOX was the best pick! To even further and ensure we picked the right DJ, we chose DJ Eric from the elite list! From before the ceremony through the end of the reception, Alex helped create a lovely flow to our entire day. Music was our top priority for our wedding, so we created three non-sequential playlists for tons of song options for parts of the day (pre-ceremony, ceremony, and reception), and Alex was the key player to make the live soundtrack/mood to the different sections of our day connect together smoothly. She nailed all the special song moments and overall helped keep the energy of our whole day super chill and fun. We felt very comfortable with her and are glad she was our DJ! Also, we added the Basic Dance Lights to our dance floor set-up and it was a super cool way to transition from day to night at our outdoor reception. It drew attention towards the dance floor and made it even more of a fun party. Was fun to have the different color lights show up in our dance-floor photos. My wife and I just had our wedding a couple of days ago and we were blessed to have Jack Matthess as our DJ. We had less than a 3 month engagement and over 100 person wedding so we had to get a lot of logistics together quickly. Jack was so helpful and always available to answer all of our questions. He was super easy to communicate with and gave us plenty of recommended songs and playlists that we were able to look at. All the communication for the lead up was awesome and we felt loved and in good hands. And Jack 1000% delivered and was the best DJ we could have asked for. He was very intuitive on reading the room and knowing when to play slow songs and more fun songs. He was personable and energetic and was able to handle any small logistical change on the fly. People were consistently on the dance floor and having a blast. Many people came up to us at the wedding said it was some of the most fun they've ever had at a wedding and that was in large part to Jack doing a fantastic job. To whom it may concern, I would like to let you know how grateful we were for the outstanding job that DJ Tony Donn Rich did at my sister's 50th Anniversary Celebration. The venue was the Coronet Room of the Hotel del Coronado in San Diego on August 17, 2024. Mr. Rich helped make the evening perfect. My husband and sister danced like fools all night, as did a large number of the 40+ guests. Realizing the age of the guests, Mr. Rich correctly chose songs from the '60s, '70s, and contemporary artists. The blend was perfect, thoughtful, and spot on. He was a perfect gentleman when a pretty girl wearing a very low-necked sundress had one of her breasts pop out in front of him. He didn't make a big deal of it and didn't miss a beat. At one point, my sister told him that although he was hired for 7-9 p.m., she didn't think the group would last that long. He told her he was happy everyone was having a good time, and he had an idea that would keep people dancing. He got out on the dance floor and taught everyone a line dance. People who hadn't danced all night came out and participated with huge smiles on their faces. Our 16-year-old granddaughter knew the dance very well. Everyone loved it. Then his final choice was Journey's, "Don't Stop Believing." He couldn't have chosen a more perfect song. Everyone was dancing and singing and the entire place was rocking. Our experience with VOX DJs stands out because of our LEGENDARY DJ and Master of Ceremonies Rob Christie (DJ Robo), who was the perfect mix of fun, classy, and professional! When we first spotted Rob among the list of DJ recommendations from our VOX sales rep, we liked him right away but the best was yet to come: Rob went so far above and beyond our insanely-high expectations and made our wildest dreams come true for our once-in-a-lifetime wedding! He was super involved and committed throughout the planning and execution of our big day, from figuring out big and small details to day-of logistics and the run-of-show, Grand Entrance, and so much more beyond just one 5-hour reception. A major thing that drew us to DJ/MC Rob Christie was his exceptional career in the music and recording industry, as we wanted to perform live music at our wedding and thought he would be a great help (we were right!). We had an unusually complicated vision for our reception, which included a Grand Entrance that would turn into a surprise performance by the Bride and Groom playing a live duet on piano and violin that would transition seamlessly into our First Dance. This meant that we needed equipment set up, sound checks, audio production, and a bunch of collaboration and coordination to pull this off, and it all had to be stealth. No detail was too small for Rob, who was an absolute pro at making our vision come true, making it all look perfectly choreographed, fine tuning our audio so we sounded our best, and making it so we actually surprised our guests (they were stunned!). Rob also created a music mix for our slideshow movie that really brought the quality up on our movie. After our music performance and First Dance, Rob pulled some cool DJ tricks to get everyone on the dance floor which set the upbeat mood for the rest of the night. He was an absolute MASTER of weaving the right VIBES throughout the reception, from the more serious moments, such as parent speeches, to the more energetic times -- the dancing! Rob brought the ENERGY to the whole room and inspired everyone (and I mean EVERYONE) to dance throughout the night, including kids with their parents and adults who usually just sit and watch. There were so many "OMG, I've never seen _____ dance" happy moments thanks to Rob who was on the floor himself leading (Cupid Shuffle!), bumping, announcing, dancing and being the LIFE of the party, but always with the right tone and amount of nuance so that the Bride, Groom, Guests were still the center of the action. Regarding music, he was great in listening to our request to play from the Spotify lists we had built, but also adding in songs that would be big crowd pleasers and having excellent instincts in reading the room. We didn't have a wedding party (Best Man, Maid of Honor, Bridesmaids, etc) so we are forever grateful to Rob, who showed HUGE CARE AND COMMITMENT to making this party happen in the best way, and was an absolute pleasure to get to know. In addition to our amazing DJ, we had a terrific experience with VOX overall. They were great about postponing due to the coronavirus and even offered an extra discount when we paid early. The staff was highly communicative, responding to e-mails quickly. We purchased the package with uplights (a must for making the room elegant), a slideshow screen, and a custom monogram spotlight. All the equipment looked and performed great. We also added a wi-fi hotspot since we wanted to project live Instagram posts using our official hashtag. We were very impressed with the screen, which looked like a cool, giant curved monitor rather than a boring old-fashioned screen on a stand. After having to reschedule my daughter's wedding 3 times due to Covid quarantine challenges and military travel restrictions VOX DJ Service pivoted gracefully with all of our other vendors. We did have to switch DJs due to scheduling challenges, but we ended up with DJ Leon de La $co who played wonderful wedding music to help make the wedding ceremony & reception awesome. He arrived early and set up without any assistance. Guests raved about his enthusiastic demeanor and music choice. My daughter lives with her US Navy husband 3000 miles away so DJ Leon met online with them to help with flow of event and music selection. Everything from the minute he arrived until the final song, went amazing and smoothly! Hiring VOX (pre-pandemic) was the perfect plan since they are a company of DJs; so you are never stuck with a "fly by night" DJ situation causing a panic close to your event. I hired them to have a seamless event. Little did I know we would be planning our daughter's wedding in a global pandemic. VOX DJ made this challenge easy! DJ Leon was great!! We heard great things about this company from the many local reviews, and I was looking for a DJ for our wedding that would fit well with my Asian-American audience. I read reviews of Leon, and thought it would be a great match. About a month before our big day, Leon reached out to us to coordinate a video meeting to go through all the music, from when the audience enters/waits until the last song of the night. Prior to our meeting, Leon asked us to fill out a very detailed Excel spreadsheet of song requests for each part of our ceremony and reception. Speaking to him, Leon was very kind, upbeat, and fun-he made even that planning meeting really exciting! Vox DJ provides all the equipment, and I was pleased that he arrived so early to the venue. Everything was so seamless during the ceremony, including our many music changes (different songs for different parts). It was an easy transition for cocktail hour, and Leon was a great host for the reception! We recently used VOX DJs for our wedding. We can't recommend them highly enough -- particularly our fabulous DJ Nicolette Roux. Nicolette was phenomenal. Selecting her was one of the best decisions we could have made. She made the planning process for our wedding day easy and stress-free, and she was the perfect emcee for our wedding reception. The music was expertly tailored to the different stages of the evening -- from the pre-ceremony, to the cocktail hour, to the dinner -- and most importantly, she kept us and our guests dancing from the moment the dance floor opened until the end of the party.
