DJ Leon Lee was our wedding DJ, and he was absolutely amazing at what he does. When we first met with him, all we had to do was provide a few songs that we liked and the genre we wanted during the ceremony, reception, and dance floor and he curated the perfect playlist for each part of the night. Seriously, it was so good my spouse and I enjoyed every song he played. For our grand entrance, first dance, and parent dances he made sure that every song started and ended at the exact moment we wanted it to. His transitions from song to song were seamless, which kept the energy going all night and the dance floor full up until the very end. He was also able to get the parents and the younger guests dancing and having a good time. And he also made our wedding trivia game so fun and energetic. If I could give a 3.5 stars I would just with the experience with corporate. We contracted VOX DJs 1.5 years before our September 2024 wedding (around April 2023) and we loved the DJ we picked out Cullen Martinez (DJ Cullen) he was the top tier Elite DJ. He vibed with us and knew so much about music. We were super excited about him. I had tried contacting Tania the booking rep/manager throughout the summer of 2024 and NEVER HEARD BACK wanting to book a meeting with our DJ to go over song choices and logistics. Now we are at 30 days before our wedding where I finally receive a call from the Owner KC Campbell telling me that our DJ, DJ Cullen, is now unavailable for our wedding date due to a family reunion he wanted to go. I thought that was so unprofessional that we couldn't get more of a notice or that he allowed him to go even though he had our wedding on the books for 1.5 years. A family reunion doesn't spring up 30 days before, they knew way in advanced and never communicated it. Now we had less than a month to pick another DJ for our wedding and we interviewed 2 Elite DJs that we just weren't feeling, so we explored the Master tier DJs and finally picked DJ Tony Donn Rich. DJ Tony Donn Rich is the only reason why I'm rating VOX a 4 because he did an amazing job as our DJ and kept our Latino family on the dance floor. We met with him 3 times within the 3 weeks of our wedding and he listened to exactly what we wanted on the tone for our wedding and it turned out amazing. I thank him for the great experience! Although our DJ did a great job, I would not use VOX DJs again because of the horrible experience and stress they put us through a month before our wedding. I found Vox DJs through our venue's preferred vendors list and while initially I was hesitant and anxious about the limitations of our DJ vendor, we were so happy to have found Vox. Music was a huge priority for both my husband and me, it was important we found someone who could understand our music tastes. Vox set itself apart from other companies by having such a great selection of DJs and having their music mix samples on the website. I immediately was hooked on DJ Leon Lee! His samples completely matched our hip hop/rnb styles and we were so excited that he was available for our wedding! Our initial meeting was super easy, laidback, and one of the most fun parts during wedding planning. I love throwbacks and rnb, and Leon is a huge rnb fan so I knew we would be taken care of! He had a thorough planning process, going over what music we wanted during pre ceremony, ceremony, cocktail, etc., how our wedding party's names were pronounced, and his suggestions on how the flow of the night would go. Our actual wedding was absolutely a hit! Every single guest we spoke with LOVED the music and we had guests literally singing and dancing out loud to our favorite songs! Love by Keyshia Cole came on (my fave) and all of our friends and family sang it all together and it was such a surreal memory to have. I had previously somewhat preplanned some playlists to base the vibes by and Leon took all our notes and knew exactly what songs to play and add to it to make the night so fun. I threw myself a 60th birthday/retirement party, and my family & friends LOVED our DJ, Doralee Angelo. The planning for the party exceeded my expectations, and Doralee continued to keep in touch in the days leading up to the party making sure every detail was in place. About 1 month before the wedding date we collaborated on a worksheet to lay out everything he needed to know for the wedding. Things like music genres, timing, and what to say at specific times during the night. Tony Donn Rich helped coordinate a surprise Hula dance with the Groom's parents. Where do we even begin?! DJ Ricky and his team were the absolute best in every single capacity! We went all out for our wedding, and got the Headliner lighting package and the top DJ at VOX, Ricky himself! The planning phase was efficient and thorough. Getting to see the different equipment tested at the VOX open house really helped us feel confident in our package selections. Ricky helped us with personalized choices on all things emcee adjacent (our music selections, timing, grand entrance announcements, etc.). On our actual wedding day: we couldn't say enough about the impeccable musical timing during the ceremony, and clear and crisp microphone audio. We heard every emotion and inflection without any wind/static interference of any kind. During the reception, aka PARTY, DJ Ricky and VOX brought down the house! To this day ( 8+ months later), we still get compliments from friends and family (of all ages and musical tastes), on how amazing our DJ was! From hyping up the crowd during our grand entrance with cold sparklers for dramatic effect, to turning the dance floor into a mini music festival, DJ Ricky & VOX were a force to be reckoned with! It literally felt like a mini Coachella, with the amazing lighting they set up on the dance floor, which is exactly what we were going for! They even handed out color-changing L.E.D. batons later in the night to dance with, for a true RAVE-like experience :) Our favorite surprise was the drum kit they used during songs! They never mentioned it in the contract, so it was such an awesome surprise when they started using the drum kit during songs to add that live instrument feel! Lastly, but certainly not least, our Photo Booth was flawless! The pictures were such high quality and the gold sequin backdrop and fun holiday props really elevated the photos! Everything ran smoothly and efficiently (little to no waiting line), and we were able to send out digital copies afterwards for those that forgot their printouts! Working with VOX DJs to set up our wedding day DJ was a breeze, but man did we get lucky with DJ Jack Matthess. My main goal for the reception was to make sure the dance floor never emptied and that the vibes were fantastic the entire time. Jack met and surpassed this goal.
