Every interaction with Rose has been completely off putting and unwelcoming. At Thursdays recital, pick up was a complete disaster. I was pushed by multiple parents and then THE OWNER looked me dead in the eyes and pushed me. The barrier the older students originally had up was no longer there and parents all had their kids. When I saw another mom I know with my daughter, I walked towards them. THE OWNER PUSHED ME AND SAID NO when other students were with their families. My daughter is 3 years old and short like me, so once I finally found her I wanted to get to her so she felt safe. I wasn't pushing anyone, running around, or acting aggressively in any way. I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT WOMAN LAID A HAND ON ME. The teachers are nice, but almost all staff who work the front desk have been too bothered for questions or any interaction. I grew up in a studio that felt like a community, this is NOT one of those places.

Sarajane is something special. Beautiful, talented, gorgeous, funny, elegant (ok Im obsessed), truly a goddess. Her energy fills the room the moment she walks in -- joyful, fun, and completely contagious. What sets her apart is how she breaks down technique in a way that actually clicks. No confusion, no frustration, just real progress you can feel. Now I actually look forward to Mondays (never thought I'd say that), I'm dancing three or four times a week, and I've even started going to socials at the Lighthouse with people from class. The staff was really nice in helping us and answering any questions we had on renting the space. My friends was really happy with renting the space and will rent again for a future event. I love all the clients and the sense of community. The studio itself is adorable- it is bright, sunny, and puts you instantly in a good mood. All their equipment is clean and up to date. They provide everything you need for class. My favorite thing about Shine is the "move to the beat" theme they have in every class. Music always motivates me to work out harder, so this is something I appreciate immensely. I also love their pillars of working out for yourself and for no one else. It's not about how you look, it's about how you feel. They work out not to get skinny, or lose fat-- but to feel better and create those endorphins because every body is beautiful, no matter what size :)

I felt the heat in her hands and even teared up a couple times. She then led a meditation journey which helped me get in my body. Even though I'm definitely not a dancer by any means, I didn't feel self-conscious and I thought the build-up in technique was slow and natural. As a beginner I felt comfortable and enjoyed the whole experience.

The dance team and studio director Jami Gobee puts an enormous amount of stress on these dancers and then criticizes them when they can't handle the stress. She refused to allow any medical accommodations that were provided, and repeatedly told us that she knows more as a dancer than our surgical doctor and therefore wouldn't accept the notes!! Instead of allowing accommodations, she made punishing threats and forced my child to take all of her classes when she was injured and sick. With every request, I received a cold and rigid response like the one copied from the other reviewer. Jami and her dance teachers regularly humiliated and ridiculed my child for her anxiety when they were the root cause of that anxiety, and told her that her dancing was getting worse (I wonder why....). Anxiety increased exponentially during her time at Fusion, and dropped almost instantly once we left. Jami told the entire dance team not to talk to us when we left, which speaks volumes to her character. They are all afraid of this woman. I would love to say that this is a good studio, but Jami creates an unhealthy environment for youth that I would not recommend to anyone. So unfortunate and so misguided.

There are a lot of hidden fees and very poor communication to parents besides bills and recommendations for additional 1:1 (more $$) lessons for their kids. While some of the teachers are great and kind, a couple of unkind teachers have proven to be sour apples and have driven many students away. Very sad.
