Every interaction with Rose has been completely off putting and unwelcoming. At Thursdays recital, pick up was a complete disaster. I was pushed by multiple parents and then THE OWNER looked me dead in the eyes and pushed me. The barrier the older students originally had up was no longer there and parents all had their kids. When I saw another mom I know with my daughter, I walked towards them. THE OWNER PUSHED ME AND SAID NO when other students were with their families. My daughter is 3 years old and short like me, so once I finally found her I wanted to get to her so she felt safe. I wasn't pushing anyone, running around, or acting aggressively in any way. I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT WOMAN LAID A HAND ON ME. The teachers are nice, but almost all staff who work the front desk have been too bothered for questions or any interaction. I grew up in a studio that felt like a community, this is NOT one of those places.

The dance team and studio director Jami Gobee puts an enormous amount of stress on these dancers and then criticizes them when they can't handle the stress. She refused to allow any medical accommodations that were provided, and repeatedly told us that she knows more as a dancer than our surgical doctor and therefore wouldn't accept the notes!! Instead of allowing accommodations, she made punishing threats and forced my child to take all of her classes when she was injured and sick. With every request, I received a cold and rigid response like the one copied from the other reviewer. Jami and her dance teachers regularly humiliated and ridiculed my child for her anxiety when they were the root cause of that anxiety, and told her that her dancing was getting worse (I wonder why....). Anxiety increased exponentially during her time at Fusion, and dropped almost instantly once we left. Jami told the entire dance team not to talk to us when we left, which speaks volumes to her character. They are all afraid of this woman. I would love to say that this is a good studio, but Jami creates an unhealthy environment for youth that I would not recommend to anyone. So unfortunate and so misguided.

The theater itself has lots of seating and is quite comfortable, however, the seating rows are very long with no breaks, so basically if you're sitting in middle seats, you have to walk past so many people on either side of you to try to get out. This would be a nightmare if there was an emergency or anything.

I am so obsessed with this studio. The owners, Yaya and Hillary are such incredibly strong women that have cultivated a fun and safe community to work out in. I love all the clients and the sense of community. The studio itself is adorable- it is bright, sunny, and puts you instantly in a good mood. All their equipment is clean and up to date. They provide everything you need for class. My favorite thing about Shine is the "move to the beat" theme they have in every class. Music always motivates me to work out harder, so this is something I appreciate immensely. I also love their pillars of working out for yourself and for no one else. It's not about how you look, it's about how you feel. They work out not to get skinny, or lose fat-- but to feel better and create those endorphins because every body is beautiful, no matter what size :)

I feel so much healthier, and the community here is so friendly. There's a great variety of styles, and the overall environment is welcoming whether you're newer to dance or more experienced. There are so many amazing instructors, but I try to never miss a class with Hanna (hip-hop). Her energy is so high and positive that it's honestly therapeutic. She's an incredible teacher who breaks down choreography in a way that makes it feel doable, even when it's challenging. I also really enjoy Loups (hip-hop) -- he's hilarious, great for fundamentals, and somehow always drops the best life advice. Also a special shoutout to Elm (hip-hop), Yuki & Brooke (K-pop), Maoka (house), and Adrianna (jazz funk) -- their classes are so much fun as well. One thing I really appreciate is their community app where they post the class videos. It is so helpful for looking back to see your progress and figuring out how to improve.
