Her energy fills the room the moment she walks in -- joyful, fun, and completely contagious. What sets her apart is how she breaks down technique in a way that actually clicks. No confusion, no frustration, just real progress you can feel. Now I actually look forward to Mondays (never thought I'd say that), I'm dancing three or four times a week, and I've even started going to socials at the Lighthouse with people from class. They have a variety of dance classes you can choose from. They have salsa, swing, ballroom, and more. The staff and all the dance instructors are super nice too. I took a couple of dance classes and really enjoyed it and look forward to trying more classes. Their classes are beginner friendly and easy to follow as well. You Can Dance Studio also offers renting for parties and events. My friends have rented the studio space and they have a really nice space to rent out. They have plenty of space and they also have nice lights on the wall! They also have Bluetooth speaker too. The staff was really nice in helping us and answering any questions we had on renting the space. My friends was really happy with renting the space and will rent again for a future event. Working with Sarajane at You Can Dance Studio was a great experience. She choreographed a beautiful routine for our first dance for our wedding that we received so many compliments on. This review is very much long overdue! I started going to the studio for the group salsa lessons in Spring of 2024. As an introvert, this is a great studio filled with friendly fellow students and great instructors! Sarajane is a great teacher, especially helpful when I was super new and taking the beginner salsa classes. Plus every sub (Konstantin and Cole) that I've had when she was out was also great! I've even been lucky enough to have a couple of lessons with Anna herself too, which was very intimidating but provided me so much growth! Cole subbed one of the intermediate salsa classes once, and he told me more about private lessons after class. I started taking private lessons with him in January, and it's been phenomenal!!! My growth in salsa was exponential!! Granted I still have things to learn, but it has been great to get one on one attention and focus on the movements I specifically needed help with. I've also learned other styles with him - some bachata, country two step, and Argentine tango! Cole has been instrumental in my progress as a dancer. He's the best mix of tough love and encouragement, especially when I get in my head. He even convinced me to do some performances at the monthly socials and the annual showcase. As someone who has multiple sclerosis and I sometimes struggle with my balance and other MS related symptoms, I never ever would have thought I would be dancing like this when I started taking classes. One of the things I have very much appreciated about Cole is that he understands how I learn and pick up concepts so he adjusts the way he explains things to me when I don't understand the first or second time. We wanted to have something special choreographed for our first dance at our wedding and we were blessed to be paired with Anna, the owner of the studio. We signed up for a package of 10 classes and within that short amount of time, we went from two people who have never taken a dance class, let alone memorize an 8-count before, to basically putting on a fun performance at our wedding. We also brought our parents to our last class where Anna quickly taught us some moves for our father/daughter and mother/son dance. We had so much fun! Anna is extremely talented, a wonderful teacher, and an absolute pleasure to work with. And because of her, we learned how to do a proper dip, which ended up being the best photo of the entire night! Groom here: Let me start by saying if I could give a sixth star I would. I was absolutely dreading having to do my first dance. Historically, I have always been extremely self-conscious and petrified of dancing in front of people; whatever coordination or athletic ability I have, simply disappeared out the nearest exit the moment I was required to dance. Sarajane did a brilliant job of making my wife and I feel comfortable and perfectly tailoring the dance to our ability and the song. Most importantly she made the experience fun! The day of the wedding, the first dance went off perfectly. It was so good fact we had multiple guests of all ages coming up to us asking where we learned our dance. We had numerous engaged couples asking where they could take lessons. Our response was always the same: ask for Sarajane at You Can Dance Studio! Advice: Buy a lesson pack. We did 5. Our first 4 were actual practice/learning the steps and we used the 5th for fine tuning / smoothing out our movements (making us look like we knew what we were doing). Most importantly, practice a few times a week at home. It will make your lessons far more productive. Simply put, the dance lessons went from being my most dreaded weekly wedding activity to the activity I looked forward to the most every week! Bride here! I agree, Sarajane was amazing, and couldn't recomend her more. I love how she set up a meeting with us to learn what type of dance we wanted and then coreographed something that was perfection. We wanted to make sure we knew what we were doing during our dance but not look like we were trying to be professional ballroom dancers. So this place made for a legendary date night!!! Melissa, Sasha, and Katya helped us and they did everything to make our first time as seamless as possible. When we arrived the atmosphere was super professional and even a little intimidating as first timers, but the moment that Sasha introduced himself to us and began our lesson it felt like our new home for dance. We presented with a multitude of options and it was apparent that he was extremely well versed in many forms of dance. We chose salsa and before our 45 minute session was up we had a decent sweat from the reps of our moves! Sasha was hands on and professional every single moment! He walked myself and my girlfriend through our first 32 counts of salsa so now we are in our kitchen prepping for our pro debut!!! I've been loving the online LIT classes with Anna. The class has definitely been helping build up my core strength and my balance. Proof was when a husky jumped up on me while I was in heels and I didn't even budge. Before I started taking the class, I have tripped over nothing in flat shoes. Another thing I love, is that she'll call you out when she knows you can do more than what you're giving. However, she will also make sure that you don't over exert yourself either. This class has been amazing and even though it's not a dance class, it's designed for dancers and is still helping me towards reaching some of my dance goals. read more

I started classes there a few months ago for the Salsa Beginner class and I have to say it is such a fun group! I look forward to my Monday night, Salsa Dance classes! The teacher, Adam, is so patient and adds a variety of choreography that even if you have never danced before or are an experienced dancer (like myself) you never get bored! Here's the thing: Guys, we need more MEN! Don't be shy, c'mon on out, we need you! Trust me when I say this is a beginner class so if you think you have two left feet you will be amazed at how well you can pick up the instruction. The ladies there are so happy when new men join us because it means we each have a partner....the women out number the men and well, it's no fun for me when that happens. So, yes, I do have a vested interest in recruiting more guys to come out ; ) Look at it this way, it is THE only time another man, besides my husband, is physically THAT close to me : D We look forward to having you join us on Mondays at 7:45pm. At the last minute last year, my husband-to-be and I decided to take ballroom dance lessons so we wouldn't look like the low Leaderboard scorers on Dancing with the Stars. He, being a professional couch-sitter, and I being a wanna be hip hop star could have been a potential disaster at our first Wedding Dance. We were paired with Max, a possibly Ukrainian king of all-things-ballroom with a slinky physique and heavily tanned an almost psychedelic golden orange hue. Max began seeing how we moved together then apart. And then he immediately took us into his wedding choreography. I am a beginner in dance and wanted to try out Ballroom Style dance. I found You Can Dance Studio on the Internet and gave them a call. The receptionist helped me find the appropriate group class for me that suited my schedule and skill level. I went to the class and had a blast!! My wife and I took classes to learn a choreographed first dance for our wedding. We absolutely loved Alina and loved learning the Rumba at YCD. Alina was a great instructor. She taught us a lot of really fun moves. She was also really funny. I think her best line was, "Scott, you know the 5 year olds I teach make the same mistake!". Ummm...yeah, THANKS!! :) Alina was really flexible with scheduling appointments around my crazy schedule (I travel for work). And most important, the first dance was flawless! We were actually so well prepared that we were able to adapt on the fly when our DJ played an acoustic version of our first song, rather than the studio version that we'd been practicing. The intro to the acoustic version was different, but we were able to adapt on the fly and we were quickly back in sync with the lyrics.....a big thanks to the excellent (and really fun) training at YCD. read more

Very friendly dance instruction in Ballroom and Latin dances. They have Rueda parties (salsa in a circle) which is rare. I have been taking ballroom classes at the studio with the performance team for half a year. I like the pacing of the class since I have dance experience and can pick up the steps relatively quickly. read more

I have been dancing at You Can Dance since July, and I have been so pleased with the studio. The instructors there feel like family. I take private lessons with Eno, and it has been extremely beneficial to me. He continues to help me grow as a ballroom dancer, and even when I don't always get the steps - he never let's me leave the studio feeling discouraged. He's amazing, inside and out. Have to admit that I sometimes get stuck just watching him dance. He's so, so good. I'm also on the performance team there which is run under the direction of Irina and Alina. We've gotten to dance all over the South Bay and both Irina and Alina continue to inspire us to do more and more. Even Anna came down to train us! I feel lucky to have met all of them.
