I put my niece, 3, in two classes.She absolutely loves them and I am already seeing a huge improvement her ability to follow directions and listen.The instructor to child ratio is very small so the little ones get lots of attention. classes are developementally appropriate and fun, and the two instructors we've had are great. Two things I really appreciate are, her Wednesday instructor clearly noticed she has much poorer coordination when doing moves with her left leg and made sure she had support and practice on that side. The second is that you get a big discount if you register for two classes. I used a different sign in when registering for the second not knowing this.The owner noticed and notified me so it could be fixed giving me the discount. My daughter has wanted to take ballerina classes for a few weeks now and I came across this place after googling local spots in the South Bay. We elected for the free trail class to see how she enjoyed it before making any type of commitment and we were very pleased ! We booked the class online and arrived about ten minutes prior to the start time but everyone at the dance studio was very friendly and pleasant. The two dance instructors were patient and made sure my daughter was comfortable throughout the entire 30 minute class. After about 5 minutes, my daughter wasn't shy anymore and started to have a blast...she didn't even want to leave after the class was over ! We will definitely be signing up for classes this summer . I just enrolled my twin girls (3years old) in a class and we will not be returning. The front desk staff was kind and easy to work with. The teacher was AMAZING. However, the owner leaves much to be desired. After an incident in class that I have settled on describing as physically aggressive/bullying in which a parent was far too delayed in responding (not the little girl's fault, in my opinion), I had hoped the owner would tell me that she would not be invited back to the studio (or the class, at the very least). Instead, I was told "well, no one got hurt" and "your girls were in class with her last week and there were no issues." Wow - how do you even begin to explain the flaws with that reasoning! My favorite thing was an email he later sent referencing their several months of experience with the family - aka, their $. Please take your business elsewhere!!!! read more

We tried the free trial Tots and Tutus ballet class for little ones under 30 months (my daughter is 21 months). Our teacher was Ms. Molly, and she was SO engaging and totally understands child development. My daughter had never been in an environment where a stranger was giving her instructions, and Ms. Molly tried multiple strategies to find out what she was motivated by. Once she discovered my daughter's interests, she masterfully used those activities to build momentum and ultimately got my daughter to follow ballet instructions. By the end of her first class, my daughter was pointing her toes, marching, twirling, and asking for "more". We signed up for 1xweekly classes and the second time we went there was a sub. She, too, was excellent.I feel like they've hired instructors who really understand child development and are passionate about dance. My daughter loves it here and we can't wait for our third class!! My daughter enjoys coming here and learning her ballet/tap dance. All the instructors are very patient and provides a creative way in learning the dance. Nothing beats how cute these girls are in their tutus. The best part is having Starbucks right next door, so I can have my caffeinated drink while watching my daughter in class. Creation dance school is fairly new but the instructor's are very nice and caring with the kids. Brought my daughter on a online deal, decided to keep her here since she seems to like it a lot. Love the fact that the class is split up on half ballet and the other half tap class. They have different stories, dance moves, etc every week to switch it up also. My daughter started coming here for the 2s ballet/tap when she was just shy of 2.5 years old. She was a little hesitant during her first couple of classes but warmed up to her teachers (Ms Chantel and Ms Becca) very quickly. The teachers and activities are super engaging, and she really enjoys coming here! They are also very flexible in scheduling make up classes (Thank goodness as you never know what life will throw at you with a toddler!) I was skeptical at first as she took a dance class through a community center, and she wasn't engaged even though she loves dance and music. Luckily, they offer a free trial class and let you borrow shoes to see how your little one does. I can see the world of difference. So happy we found them! My hubby and I were looking for a dance studio to take our two year old daughter for ballet classes, and we're glad to have discovered Creation Station Dance in Torrance. It's right down the street from us; right next to Starbucks and Lee's Sandwiches. We love it here because they take into account each child's developmental stage. Ms. Amber is my daughter's tap/ballet instructor, and she is wonderful. My daughter loves her. I love that she integrates discipline in her classes. It teaches the kids not only how to dance but also to follow instructions. The classes are fun filled with tiaras, bubbles, pom poms, teddy bears, tap and ballet. And, if you don't have your own ballet and tap shoes, they have loaners you can use for class that day. Another perk is that they offer many classes every day at different times to accomodate our schedule. If we are not able to attend a day that we normally are scheduled, we can call to go on another day to make up. Additionally, I love that the class size is not big at all; this allows equal attention to each student. It's so cute to see my two year old do a pose and plie. They have great prices and from my research give you the most classes for your buck. Ms. Amber is the best teacher. She has soooooo much patience and extremely good at her profession. Chantel who is also a teacher and works in the office is wonderful too! They offer a great variety in the schedule so they will definitely has something that works for you and your busy schedule. First impression review - such an awesome place. I took my niece here today. She was very shy and non-cooperative at first. But the teacher is so nice and patient with her. That alone convinced me to sign her up for the whole course. There is livingsocial deal for $29 - 3 classes, so I only had to pay for the remaining classes in the 10-week course. Unfortunately it was the 9th week of a 10 week class that was getting ready for a performance. My 3.5 yo daughter attends the Monday princess ballet and tap class in Torrance. She is very picky about joining classes of any kind. We took her to go watch a class and she absolutely loved what she saw. Enrolled her the following week and we have been going ever since. The class is perfectly appropriate. It starts with 25 minutes of ballet where they hand out props like tiaras and butterfly wings and wands so all the girls can pretend play while they are learning. The class then switches to 25 minutes of tap and everyone gets to 'cluck cluck' away, as my daughter puts it. Amber is our instructor and she is one of a kind. We have attended other music and dance classes where the instructor is more of a nanny/cheerleader. That's perfectly fine at this age level but Amber is so much more. It is obvious that she is an experienced dancer and knows how to teach. She is also a very kind and graceful person, for lack of better words. It's hard to describe but how she interacts with each child is just perfect and amazing. Don't take my word for it. Come watch a class, I think they may even offer a free trial class too. I don't think you will be disappointed. read more
