The dance team and studio director Jami Gobee puts an enormous amount of stress on these dancers and then criticizes them when they can't handle the stress. She refused to allow any medical accommodations that were provided, and repeatedly told us that she knows more as a dancer than our surgical doctor and therefore wouldn't accept the notes!! Instead of allowing accommodations, she made punishing threats and forced my child to take all of her classes when she was injured and sick. With every request, I received a cold and rigid response like the one copied from the other reviewer. Jami and her dance teachers regularly humiliated and ridiculed my child for her anxiety when they were the root cause of that anxiety, and told her that her dancing was getting worse (I wonder why....). Anxiety increased exponentially during her time at Fusion, and dropped almost instantly once we left. Jami told the entire dance team not to talk to us when we left, which speaks volumes to her character. They are all afraid of this woman. I would love to say that this is a good studio, but Jami creates an unhealthy environment for youth that I would not recommend to anyone. So unfortunate and so misguided.

I am so happy we found Ohana. She is thriving! I have seen her grow as a dancer while attending Ohana. The teachers - are dedicated to their craft and have a joy of teaching those eager to learn. They have fun, they are tough and they want to bring out the best in their dancers The owners - have a dedication to the studio and the dancers that is top tier. I have witnessed each of them give advice and support that goes beyond dance. They listen and adjust things, if needed. The families- the more seasoned parents will offer help and guidance to the new families joining. Some times new families want to hear from parents just like them. When I started I knew I could ask the staff and when I did, I got great detailed answers. But there were times I wanted to talk to a dance mom and get their take on a question I had. They have sadly lost a lot of their best dancers. They treat their dancers as assets/revenue generators vs students. While some of the teachers are great and kind, a couple of unkind teachers have proven to be sour apples and have driven many students away. Very sad.

By the end of class, everyone's doing a full on choreography together and it's SO FUN that I forget that I'm working out! No worries if you're a beginner and have zero dance experience.
