Tony was awesome. He made the party so much fun and brought a great mix of DJ and Karaoke expertise. There was never a break in the music and the videos he played were a fun throwback. In between karaoke songs he would play fun hits and videos to keep the energy high. He also sang a couple songs with our guests which was a hit. We had several people who wanted to sing again at the end of the party so he kindly extended his time and keep the party going. I decided to break from my traditional girls' night out for my 40th birthday and host a party at our house for ~60 friends and family. I knew I wanted karaoke to be part of the party, but wasn't sure how to find the right DJ. I used a couple of vendor bid services and spoke to a few DJs. Right after getting off the phone with Tony, I knew Rock Hero was the right fit for my party. Tony had great communication before the party. Tony and Joyce showed up right on time the day of the event and set up very quickly - we transitioned from my Spotify over to their equipment seamlessly, using my family room TV to show the karaoke lyrics. We didn't have a huge area for them to park their equipment, but they were super flexible and made it work. I was a little worried before the party - I knew we'd have a very eclectic crowd. I knew Rock Hero's song list was extensive, but I wasn't sure people would want to pack into one room to watch other guests belt 'em out - especially singing genres they don't normally listen to. I was wrong. Tony picked the right filler songs and kept the crowd engaged and ready to hit the mic. For those who didn't want to sing, they grabbed seats and cheered the singers on. We must have crammed 40 people into our fairly small family room - everyone wanted to join in! I wasn't really into the idea of a video montage around my photos, but Tony talked me into it and I'm so glad he did! It came out great and was a crowd-pleaser. I literally sent him pics right before the party and he turned around the montage super fast. We hired 4 vendors for the party and Rock Hero Entertainment was easily the best of the bunch! My husband and I first met Tony and Joyce (the team behind Rock Hero Entertainment) when we stumbled across a mention (maybe 4 years ago?) that a local pizza joint had family night Karaoke on Saturdays, from 8pm until 10pm. After 10 pm, it was primarily adults only; however, it was never a big issue. Hubby was a big Karaoke fan, and my almost 4 year old daughter at the time also loved to sing. My 2nd daughter (who wasn't even 1 yet) practically grew up with our Saturday night family night Karaoke, with Joyce and Tony. They were/are extremely nice, thoughtful, and always were so happy to see us when we showed up. Their Karaoke (and Rock Band) catalog was unlimited ... if you couldn't find it in their directories, Tony would download it just for us or have it available the next visit. Throughout the years, we continued to see them at any family nights. They always had great equipment, all the songs you could want or ever want, and most importantly, a great positive attitude. Hubby and I have also gone to their other adults only locations and they were all great. We have also personally hired them when we did our daughters' combined birthday party at our home, of course, to a Karaoke theme. They are extremely professional and would be a great team to hire at your next music event. Yes, this review is biased, as we have become great friends, but regardless, they are the perfect duo for any of your musical needs. I have and continue to recommend them. I have experienced Tony at Bigs in Fullerton on Tuesday and Thursday nights. His selection of songs are much better than other karaoke jockeys. He has great videos to play between songs and he is very good at picking the tunes and slreading the wealth for karaokers. If you go to one of his shows or events, talk to him. I was in search of a karaoke DJ for our Thanksgiving Wedding Party. As time was running out, I was getting worried that I wouldn't find someone quickly enough. This review is so long overdue it's not even funny!!!! I just happened to stumble upon Rock Hero Entertainment when I decided to throw a karaoke party for my birthday. Even in my discussions with Tony prior to the day of, he made me believe he was going to help me throw the best birthday party of my life to date!!! And boy did he deliver!!! They are the two most awesome people I know!! I had only booked him for five hours. So of course when time hit for it to be over, birthday girl didn't want the party to be over. I went over and asked them if they'd be willing to stay extra and they said literally, "whatever you want us to do." and they ended up staying an extra three hours past the time I had booked them. They were so professional but at the same time had their share of fun with us and really brought my party to life. so good, in fact, that I've been told by every single person in attendance that I need to make this an annual occurrence!! He also made me a wonderful birthday slideshow and gathered everyone around to watch it. The song selection was ON POINT!!
