I have no problem with Dr Young, he provided me with excellent care and answered all my questions. I retired, and I wanted to get a set of Transitions eyeglasses w/ my current prescription. Sharon said they have them, and charged me about $300 after my VSP discounts. A week later she tells me the lab can only make them with thicker lenses, but can't tell me how thick. I ask for a full refund. Sharon offers to have the glasses made as-is as an extra set. I said no thanks, that's not what I want. I got my refund. So next, I asked Sharon for clip-on shades. She offers me a custom made set for about $100. Their supplier said they don't have them, and they need two months to get them. TWO MONTHS? Are you using an overseas manufacturer? Sharon said "yes, most likely." Guess what? They don't have it. What a waste on time. So I tried Kaiser Vision Essentials for the first time. Got the glasses I wanted in two weeks.

Dr. Kelemen seems very knowledgeable and explains what he is doing very well. I didn't have any…read moreissues with my initial exam, but dealing with the process of ordering contacts was terrible. I agreed to have my annual supply of contacts shipped to their office (typically comes in 5 days) since I was told it was faster than shipping it to my address. I received no updates about the status of my contacts for 2 weeks. I called the office the Friday of the second week and the receptionist told me I would receive an update when the contacts were delivered. I called Monday of week 3 and was told by Dr. Kelemen that there was a software error and process request was rejected. He reordered them the same day and I asked for them to be shipped to my address instead. The next day the doctor calls me again and says that the original order was resent on Wednesday of week 2 and that the order he placed yesterday was the incorrect brand. Wednesday of week 3, I received the incorrect brand contacts that were shipped to my address (took 2 days) yet still have not received the original order. I call the office again to find that the courier supposedly mis-delivered to another office and they don't know if my order is at this office or was rejected and sent back to the warehouse. I asked for an time frame for deliver and he could not answer. I asked to cancel the order and to reorder to be shipped to my address instead since it seems like it would be faster. He refused since he did not believe he was in the wrong and that he had already ordered another yearly supply (wrong brand) and it would be expensive (for him) to do that. I ended up calling my insurance to try to cancel the order so I could order contacts online instead but they couldn't without the doctors agreement. I still have yet to receive the contacts as of writing this review (Wednesday week 3) or an estimated delivery time. Interestingly, the insurance agent told me that Dr. Kelemen told them it should arrive by the end of week 3, yet did not tell me that.

The staff were very thorough with the various eye tests and the glasses selection process. Their office has a lot of different frames to choose from from a variety of manufacturers. My eye exam was very straight forward, Dr Hansson even apologized that there were no major changes after my exam, loved his humor. After the exam I sat down with one of the reps to go over my glasses needs. Narrowed down to frame and type of glasses I wanted (transitional colored and anti-reflective lenses), was transparent with even breaking down the costs and what my insurance covered, appreciated the full disclosure. Gave me an ETA of 2.5-3wks for glasses arrival. I came in on 5/21 so I called on 6/2 just to follow in case it had already arrived but they were too busy to inform me. Turns out it just got mailed out on 6/2 and was assured it will arrive sometime this week. I called on Saturday 6/13 at noon since i haven't heard anything back and found out it had actually arrived on Friday. This was the minor issue I had, Saturday morning since they've opened no one reached out to me, they close on Sundays and Mondays so if I never followed up on Sat, i would not be getting them until Tuesday and I actually needed them asap too. I don't buy that they were too busy to notify me via call/txt/email unless their foot traffic was like the lines at In N Out. Overall, glasses were great! Will come back again!

Waiting room area is by the elevators. There is a big STOP sign upon entering the office. It is a small space and you can only enter when you are called. One front desk secretary that does everything. I do appreciate the time the doctor took to thoroughly examine my mom's eyes. He is very old school - he has shelves filled with many different size lens. Our appt did not felt rush and his secretary was very nice and patient with helping us choose a frame that was covered by insurance. The doctor does not speak Cantonese fluently - just enough words to get by but his secretary does so if you need an interpreter, she is there.

I have been a patient of Dr. Bui for several years, and I cannot speak highly enough of the medical care. Dr. Bui is fantastic, thorough, and the sole reason I have stayed with this clinic for so long. Unfortunately, the front desk staff makes every visit incredibly frustrating. For years, I have tolerated a consistent lack of professionalism and warmth at the front counter. The staff rarely seems pleasant to work with, and if you ask a simple question, they treat it as though you are causing them a major inconvenience. It is incredibly discouraging to be treated like a burden by the administrative team just to see an excellent physician. Patients deserve to be greeted with basic courtesy and respect. I highly recommend the doctor, but the practice desperately needs to invest in customer service training for their front desk staff.
