Brought in my daughter's prescription a few months ago and the optician was very thorough and patient throughout the entire process. Went over our choices, suggested which frames would fit not only her face but also her style and activity level. Fast forward to her recently returning from her cousin's house and the glasses got jumped on so we come back and the optician was super quick to fix not only hers but mine when he noticed the nose pads were missing (accidentally washed & dried them in a jacket). Very kind of him to do! read more

I've had nothing but positive experiences here. I recently had two pairs of glasses fitted with new rx lenses and purchased a pair of rx sunglasses. They carry a variety of brands low to designer. They accept vsp and while my glasses cost hundreds of $$, I know that their prices are way more competitive than what I've found at other places ($500-600 WITH my vsp high plan benefits for ONE pair of glasses). (I think ALL my orders at LensCrafters totaled $500, including rx Versace sunglasses.) The staff fitting my glasses, and even when I've called over the phone with questions about my eye exam, have been knowledgeable, helpful, and professional. read more

Not all eye Doctors are created equal. This place is a business. It takes 2 business days to callback on a phone inquiry? Thats insane. Is anyone working? I wouldnt even count on leaving a voicemail... I had a brief question on process of reusing frames purchased in the past. Simple question left unanswered... Much rather take my business elsewhere. read more

Extremely Disappointing Experience I had a very frustrating visit at the LensCrafters in South Shore Center. We didn't have an appointment and walked in, and the staff guided us to their waiting area, assuring us that someone would be with us shortly. It was a Saturday and understandably busy, so we expected a bit of a wait but after 30 minutes, there was still no acknowledgement whatsoever that we were even there. What made the situation worse was that other walk-ins who arrived after us were helped first, with no explanation. When we finally went up to the front desk to ask about the wait, we were completely ignored. There was no sign-in sheet, no system for checking in, and no effort from the staff to communicate or provide any updates. The whole experience felt disorganized and dismissive. After waiting so long without anyone even recognizing us, we left feeling frustrated and unvalued as customers. I honestly can't recommend this location based on this visit. read more

Went the last hour before closing, door was locked. Associate (Mark) was assisting another customer, but kindly stepped away to open the door for us. Customer service, even while he was the only one staffed at the time and close to closing time, was exceptional. We went in to just check costs of glasses with benefits, unsure of what we wanted to do, but Mark had all the answers and we ended up ordering me a pair of glasses, all in about 30 min (with another customer after us). 5 stars because not every establishment provides great service when they're about to close. I've experienced many places in a hurry to just get everyone out, but not Mark. He delivered, and then some. I've been wearing glasses forever, and why have I never considered coming here?? Go get you some glasses from LensCrafters at Southshore. read more

This place seems under staffed. Jason was very helpful explaining everything and helping me get a good deal. When I went to pick up the glasses, someone helped me and it went well. But if you want someone to help you choose frames, or if you want to reach them by phone, good luck. read more

We've purchased glasses a few times now from this location and always had great customer service. But today they went over and above by helping me out for free with two separate issues on two pairs of glasses (one wasn't even purchased there). No charge, and no attitude either. read more

I haven't felt this wonderful in a long while and it kept me smile all day after dropping by this LensCrafters location this morning! I was without my sunglasses for the most part of this year because its nose supports dropped off. I finally bought the correct nose pieces and took it in LensCrafters since I was just happen to be in the area. Wasn't sure if they were going to help me since I didn't buy my sunglasses from them and I'm not their client either. But to my surprise, the gentleman said he could help me and when I presented the nose pieces that I bought to him, he said they have these kinds in the back and he didn't need to use mine. When he was done fixing my sunglasses and gave it back to me, I asked him how much I owe...and to my utmost surprise was, he said it was free!!!! I was so shocked! Good old fashion services like these are almost nonexistent these days! Thank you for your generosity! read more

Came here because I got a new prescription and I wanted to change out my old lenses into my frames which I originally got from LensCrafters years and years ago. Well they quoted me over $700 for the type of lenses I wanted. Which are just the hi index lenses with anti reflective. I then went to Kaiser optical and they charged me $164 to put the lenses on my frames that I didn't even get from them. Never get scammed be LensCrafters read more

Mark helped me through the process of getting contacts for the first time in my life at 35 and couldn't have been more patient and friendly. I am generally a bit anxious and a perfectionist, especially when it comes to touching my eyes so of course I watched all of the YouTube videos. After trying all the different methods together, I found that Marks way eventually was the best for me to put in and take off the contacts, now I comfortably swap them out whenever I need to and have no worries. They also let me try several different brands and prescriptions to find the right contact for me. 10/10 definitely would recommend going to this LensCrafters! read more

I lost my prescription sunglasses; after turning my house upside down, I realized I had to bite the bullet & get a new pair. I wear progressive lenses and have a very small face, so finding frames that fit me and leave enough room for 3 reading levels is near impossible and hella expensive. This was gonna cost me a grand, easy. Off i went to this LensCrafters. Having done my research, I knew Persol makes frames in several sizes. When I walked in, one of the workers asked if he could help. "I need small frames, can you show me what you have?" Him (making face): "uh, small? Ugh..." Me: "You carry Persol, don't you (looking at Persol logo on the wall)." He points. I pick up a pair & try them on. "Can you tell me if these are the small size?" He takes glasses, wanders off. Comes back. "These are discontinued." Me: "that's 'cause they fold, right?" Him: uh-huh "I don't need folding. They make them without, right?" Him: "yeah." Me: "Can you help me find small frames?" Him: "Let me know if you find anything." Turns & walks away. Ok, that was a "no" to helping me. Me: "How long does it take for progressive sun glasses with in-stock frame?" Him: "one to two weeks." (I've been wearing glasses for decades and have 4 pair for different needs. I've never had anyone not be able to give me a tighter window. Especially for in-stock) I look around, get overwhelmed. The place I usually go knows how to help someone who is gonna spend $1k on glasses. Decide I can't deal. I'd brought my old reading glasses. "Can you tell me what it would cost for plain, single vision plastic lenses?" Him: "they start at $200." Me: "No, plain single vision plastic." Him: "they're polarized." Me: "I don't need polarized. I lay in bed & read with them." Him: "$200 is the starting point." Me: "seriously?" I literally burst out laughing. "I came in, asked for help, ready to pay $400 just for frames, you can't be bothered and single vision plastic lenses are more than $200?" I leave. End scene. I'm not really sure why he just didn't outright tell me they don't want my business when I walked in the door. read more

My mother lost both screws in her prescription eyeglasses. Not too sure where she bought them from but I thought I'd take a chance and go to LensCrafters to see how much it would cost for them to repair it. I met a wonderful lady named Patty that said she could do it for free. She repaired the glasses and cleaned them all at no charge. Thank you, Patty. read more

I would recommend coming here during a less busy time, so it won't feel rushed when others are in line and for the employees to have more time to explain information. I came to this location a few times before and I received assistance from a few different employees, but Rio provided the most exceptional customer service. She was patience and went over several scenarios with different frames, add-ons, lenses, and costs after insurance for me to fully understand my all options and choose. I didn't know this before, but I saw a sign inside showing that LenCrafters offers free glasses adjustments, along with free screws, nose pads, restring, and temple covers for any glasses (even non-LenCrafters glasses). The lowest price frame was around $100. One thing that this store can improve upon is to offer a wider range of frames that are less than $100. read more

I've been coming to this optometry for 7 years and today was my last visit , I got charged 184$ for my exam ( that needs to be renewed every year) and it took over an hour to get the check up and order the lenses, used to take 20-30 minutes top. My overall guess is that there has been a change in the ownership or management : the store looked dirty , carped not cleaned for a long time with huge stains all over the place, increased prices and slow service. Shout out to the lady at the front desk for putting in zero effort to be nice to your customers. You should also inform your clients that optomap eye photo that costs 40$ is optional . Do better guys. read more

With everything virtual this year, I was having trouble seeing my computer screen after a few hours. I was able to get an appointment the next day, even with contacts! Check in was easy. They took my temperature and had a clean pen ready to use. The rest of the appointment was smooth with lots of sanitation stops. I needed new glasses and they had a great deal with 50% off designer frames and with my insurance I got an additional 30% off. Can't wait to get them when they come in! read more

I had a bad experience at this office, for a few reasons. The most notable was that the eye technician who did my initial intake exams would not stop peppering me with questions about my personal life and profession (which he read off my intake form). I have had eye issues my entire life, so I like to really concentrate on the exam to make sure my eye health is tracking correctly. I was performing most of the exam myself (moving equipment & tracking which lines I could read off the chart on the wall) while the eye technician asked a multitude of questions about my personal and professional life. The doctor herself was good, but the whole experience in the room before she came in put me off. My adjusted prescription has been hurting my eyes for a few weeks (which I believe is more than the allotted time that you should give for your eyes to adjust), so I'll be spending additional time & money to go to another optometrist to confirm my prescription should have actually been updated. read more

Had a great experience here with Dr. Judy Wong. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Was greeted by the receptionist when I arrived and the check in was fast and simple. Spacious office and advanced equipment. I have a scar on my eye which makes it difficult to focus and get an accurate prescription, and I always inform the optometrist at the beginning, so that they are aware. Because of the scar, it also takes longer for me to compare which slide looked clearer. In the past with other optometrist, I always felt rushed during this process, and would have to ask them to go slower and then they would get frustrated. However, with Dr. Wong, she was very patient and understanding of my scar. She made sure that I felt comfortable and that I was sure of which slide was more clearer. She took the time to make sure that the final prescription was the best fit for me. I definitely recommend her to everyone. She is now my go to optometrist going forward. read more

Wonderful doctor. Their systems SUCK and the rest of the process sucked. I've had to repeat my phone number at least ten times because they keep losing the account and the staff kind but not the sharpest tools in the shed. Their Rx system doesn't talk to the glasses order system. It is the most technologically backward company I've had to deal with in years!!!! This ordering of glasses took two people to figure out and about 40 minutes longer than it ever should have. SOOOOO frustrating! Oh and the price label on the frames was less than than I was charged. read more

The receptionist, Rio, at the front desk is very rude and outwardly lies to patients in order to upsell on things she says are "required." She added on things I clearly told her I did not need, but I was told they were "required" which is a lie. In addition to being dishonest, she is also very rude and acted aggressive after being asked to clarify / remove these items. I've been a customer here at this Lenscrafter location for quite sometime now and I cannot be any happier! With someone with bad eye-sight and worst case of astigmatism, I've been looking to speak with someone that really knows what is the perfect glasses and lens for me. I came across with Mr. Victor Mendoza here at this location. My experiences with Victor have been phenomenal since day one! Victor is a very ambitious and prestigious representative as he works diligently, assiduously, and industriously for customers such as myself! He is very affable and professional and sets great examples as an embodiment for Lenscrafter. I was given the greatest advices as he established my eye-glasses prescriptions and got me the perfect frame and lenses I've been looking for the longest time! What would I do without Victor? I would be squinting my eyes, getting into car accidents, and bumping into walls if it wasn't for him. Thank you Victor for setting me up with the perfect lens! And thank you for your immaculate services. My money is worth every penny because of him. Thank you Victor and Lenscrafter! -Alan read more

These frames and lenses cost me a lot of money. I got some sort of "premium" lenses that change into sunglass mode depending on the intensity of light. About at the 6 month I noticed some little flecks like something was flaking off. I've taken immaculate care of these glasses. It's been about 8 months now and there's flaking all over and getting more difficult to clearly see. I called and the receptionist said she would talk to the owner and call me back. I was offered to buy an insurance plan for $40 something which would last a year and told another $25 would get me new lenses. My issue with this is that the lenses are defective, the coatings flake off. So paying more on top of the huge price I paid feels insulting. I just want a pair of lenses that do what they say they're going to do. I expect to have good lenses for more than 6 months. I don't want to pay extra for what I should get in the first place. Attached is a photo of a lense, though both have the same issue. Ignore the blue dots, they are caused by the light source I used to get a close up. read more

What a shame. I called in to get a rough estimate on lens exam cost but the guy couldn't tell me over the phone. Stated the doctor recommends retinal examine and most Insurance doesn't cover it. Also asked about same day appointment as I was on their website and saw MANY appointment openings. The guy on the phone blatantly lies and say there is none as he "checked his schedule and there are already existing customers". I don't know what that means but if your skeptical check their website for appointment rather than calling. I trust these peeps on 1 star review. read more
