Researching and buying a vehicle from a distance is not typically an easy task but Ron Blum and the Vorderman staff were quick to respond to inquiries, very professional with those responses and made the entire process clear and easy on me. All those that I came into contact with were helpful and genuine; a customer-centric culture and true sign of a well managed dealership. At the end of the day, I bought a vehicle that more than met expectations for a great price! Highly recommend them. read more

I went in to try to make a deal on a car and they offered me about $7,500 less on my trade in than what KBB and JDM Power said was a fair value. When I pointed this out, the first sales manager claimed they get their values "from blue book, red book, black book, etc...". Then I talked to the second manager and pointed out that "red book" is not a real source. He claimed the first manage was just using a figure of speech. If I am there to make a deal with real money, I don't want to be told made up data and try to cover it as a "figure of speech." Then, I asked the second manager to show me the numbers that they were seeing for my truck's value. He printed me a piece of paper claiming JDM said it was worth 26,700, adjusted to 27,750. When I got home, I looked it up on the JDM website and the website said the average trade-in value was 31,100. I called that manager back and pointed out the difference, which he did not have an explanation for. Overall, my experience was terrible. If you want to deal with a dishonest dealer and get ripped off, this is the place for you. I will be shopping elsewhere going forward and would recommend you do the same. The best part of the experience was the free cup of coffee while I waited. read more

Everything regards to service/repair company has gone downhill overcharge beyond means. I came in with a specific concern. It was not addressed. I got the print out.. 15,000 was total , $8200 quote for timing change alone all other parts were brand new coil packs, spark plugs, serpentine belt battery ..They checked nothing. Overcharge you to the point you need to buy a new car from them they're helping you...nope! read more

Up until now Vordemans has done an excellent job on my husband's Mercedes, but not any more. Today they only did half the work we requested them to do. Because my husband works for an auto parts shop they have always allowed him to bring his own parts. Today they wouldn't put the brake pads on and my husband was told he that two of the four oxygen sensors were not the right part and couldn't bother to call to let him know that. He literally works 1/4 of a mile away from the dealership! They don't answer the phone when you call nor do they call you to let you know the status of the repairs. It looks as if the customers at the auto parts shop will no longer be advised to go to Vordemans for their repairs any longer. It is sad when a once reputable company employs people who can take it to the ground. read more

I purchased my Beetle new back in 2016. I have nothing but praise for the service that we have received from my sales agent Caril, to the service agents, Larry, Zach and many others throughout the years, from purchase and maintenance of my 2016 Beetle, to even, because of some unfortunate instances I had the unfortunate opportunity, the body shop made outstanding repairs as promised, and my car looked beautiful! Needless to say to say, Vorderman's staff has maintained their high quality standards, and has always treated me and others I've seen around me, with nothing but utmost grace and respect. read more

We have bought 2 cars from Vordermans and have had them serviced here for 6 years. They have always done great work at a fair price. Recently we had an intermittent transmission issue that was hard to diagnose. They worked it out and provided a loaner. No questions. Nobody likes having a car in the shop, but they have always been timely, competent, and treated us right. We're glad to have them available. Special thanks to Brad at the service desk. read more

We purchase a used Vehicle from here. We purchase the repair insurance. We had a claim to make but insurance company had no knowledge of it even my mechanic tried and same results. Come to find out they had not turned it in to activate it. Policy was for 90 days and took them 60 days to get it turned in so we could get issue fixed. We had to send this vehicle through detail 2 more times to get it cleaned and dog hair , the whole interior clean like a vehicle is supposed to be detailed. I went to change the oil and filter in it the other day and lord behold their so called mechanics over tightened the oil drain bolt so much I had to use a Vise Grip and use 2 hands to get it clamped so tight so it would not slip plus a 3lbs hammer to budge it loose. I also had to go purchase a new oil drain plug. Not the brightest mechanic by far. We also received 1 free car wash a month that I refuse to use because if they can't detail a used vehicle for resale I can't imagine what they would do for a vehicle car wash and screw up. I highly do not recommend this Dealership for any used car purchase read more

This is the one of the best service dealerships out here. It costs a little more, but it's worth it. I got tired of working on my 2009 VW Passat Komfortwagen with 184000 miles on it. Ivan and his crew are the best customer service reps I've met. And I don't trust very many people who work on my car. Kudos to Vorderman VW service department. read more

Ok here is the situation: I am a die hard VW owner. I owned a Jetta, Passat, and now a Touareg and an Audi TT. I have nothing against the cars but man do I hate this dealership. Sales: these guys think they are selling Bentleys. They have completely missed the mark on who buys VW's. Young adults is the largest group. We buy golfs and jettas in college then touaregs and passats in adulthood. Do not expect to be taken seriously unless you show up wearing a suit and look like walking money. I came in expecting to spend $30k+ on my touareg but they pissed me off so much I drove to Indianapolis to buy at Tom Woods VW, awesome by the way! Service: the guys are great, but they are about 20% more expensive than any other VW service dealer I have ever been too. God I hate this place. read more

Worst experience I've ever had with a dealer . Claimed that the vehicle did not have any leaks , and upon delivery a local mechanic determined that it had been leaking for a long time . Did not stand up for the error, and in fact tried to make even more off of the repair. I'd wholeheartedly encourage you to take your money elsewhere . read more

I bought a car from their used lot a little over a month ago. It has been in the shop THREE times now, after I was repeatedly reassured when buying it that it was in great shape. They helped me with the first fix issue, and told me they cut me a deal on the cost to fix the second problem (although it was still an expensive fix). I called to let them know the car broke down again, and the manager tells me I bought a cheap car and that it was my fault I did not budget for a warranty or maintenance. (Having your car serviced THREE times in ONE MONTH is not typical maintenance!!) I would not recommend buying a car from them unless you wanna spend half of what you pay for the car on a warranty or pay for an absurd amount of maintenance!! read more

About the only thing these guys can do right is read a code reader and report what your car says is wrong with it. Do not I repeat do not get work done here you are better off going to another certified European auto shop. The work is way over priced and more than likely done wrong. Only thing this dealership has going for them is the show room and this just shows how looks can be deceiving. read more

I've bought two cars off of this lot . Both cars came in good condition , no problems . The second they got off the lot it seemed that it needed repair after repair after repair . I recently just went in for an oil change , they charged me $100 for it . Which is a lot more than other competitors (disappointing , right ?) . My car was driving perfectly fine when arrived at the shop . Once the oil change was done they told me "Your breaks are DETACHING from the break pads and your rotors need done, that'll be $500" First of all , my car drove PERFECT before I came in ... the second I left ... my car stopped breaking like it used to ... I'm just saying . I hope people read this and stop coming here . My uncle checked my car and showed me that they purposely damaged my vehicle , TWICE . Once to my dad , the damage was $1000 . Then once to me . I will never be coming back here again . This place is garage expensive . Save your money for something better . read more

I was so excited to shop for my first VW after falling in love with them only a few years ago. However my experience with this dealership and some of the people working here, was horrible. After going through all the hoops to get approved and to find that care that I wanted. I was able to come pick up my car and finalize my paper work with Adam (car salesman) and Justin (Financial Guy). Justin from the first paper I signed mislead me on everything I was signing. I knew what I was signing but when it came time to leave and I asked for copies of everything and his buisness card he assured me that it was in the paper work he gave me. I have two boys under 5 so looking overeverything he gave me wasnt in the cards in that moment. However when i got home I emailed Adam and expressed I didnt get any of that paperwork. He had someone else in the company reach out to me and refused to help me anymore. The woman I got to talk to after that is my reason I wanted to write this at all. The woman from the main office pretty much said she didnt care, they wouldnt help me further, and that I should just be happy that she got me the car at all. That she only did it because she "Felt Bad for me". Never in my life have I felt so small. Its their job to run my credit, its not their job to judge me and belittle me. My husband and I make great money, I wasnt approved for a 2019 because she felt bad for me. This comment amoung many other from this company was hurtful and insensitive. I would love a call from a corporate line to discuss this further. Thank you. read more

I bought a used Beetle and actually, this is the first car purchase I regret. I bought it on a rainy day and got it home to find the hood was pretty gnarly looking. Also, the manual is in French, with no english. Since then it has been pretty well behaved. I just wish I would have not succummed to the pressure to buy that day and waited to see it in the sun. I would have waited and gotten a different beetle. Every time I look at it, I die a little inside. Every time I mention the manual to anyone at Vorderman they act like I am radioactive and run away, never to be heard from again. Oh well. read more

Had our salesman not been such a good guy, I would give this dealership (1) star. We had been searching for a "VW Certified Used" Beetle for our daughter. Found the right color at Vorderman and made the trip to Ft. Wayne from Indy. After negotiating the sell price, problems started when we had to "wait in line" over (2) hours to pay for it! By the time we finished, they had already closed and it was dark for our drive back to Indy. The most concerning issue developed 2 weeks later when we started noticing leaked diesel fuel in our garage. We immediately took it to the local VW dealer (Tom Wood VW). It was discovered that the return diesel fuel line had been leaking "for an extended period of time" (certainly before we purchased the car). We're now waiting for parts including all underbody trays that were warped and saturated with diesel fuel. It's obvious that Vorderman VW did not properly inspect this car during their supposed "Certified Used Car Inspection" process. Because of that, I suggest avoiding this dealership especially when searching for a late model VW. read more

I have to say I really didn't have a good experience at this dealership. I went back twice cause I really dig VW's. The first time I felt like the sales guy was totally trying to get the most money out of me possible, I went back and luckily got another guy. The second time I was smarter and went in inquiring about a lease special on their website, the sales guy knew NOTHING about it, IT WAS A HUGE NATIONAL PROMOTION POSTED ON THEIR WEBSITE, I knew more than he did, next thing I know I am test driving a car WAY out of my price range when the the car I was inquiring about they didnt even have available, then they told me they could order one but I would have to put down a non refundable deposit, which who wants to buy a car they haven't seen? None the less driven? Ridiculous every step of the way. I really wanted a VW, but the two times I have really tried to buy one makes me want to go somewhere where they actually want to sell me a car not talk down to me like I am a moron and not good enough to drive one of their precious Bentleys, I mean VW's. read more

I was working with Lori and Caril for a few days on purchasing a car. I was just called and told they took a deposit from another buyer. I asked why I wasn't given first right of refusal and notified after the fact. Caril said she mentioned it before. Now, I have a series of emails back-and-forth, and NEVER was I asked to do so. I expressed it wasn't fair they conduct business that way, but I understood. A deal is a deal. And they obviously don't respect that. read more

HIGHLY RECOMMEND Vorderman Volkswagen! I am a car enthusiast from the start... I wanted a car that was reliable, safe and efficient - but I also wanted a car that was FUN TO DRIVE. This is why I considered a German Engineered car. After spending months searching, reading reviews and learning about the many choices out there - I decided I would add more parameter to my search - sexy. I fell in love with the appearance of the Volkswagen CC and a quick search showed Vorderman Volkswagen was the place to shop. Several late nights watching Vorderman ' s inventory as well as other Volkswagen dealerships, I began to really understand the current market value. I entered the showroom with an understanding of what I wanted and left smiling ear to ear in a 2011 Volkswagen CC. Here is my experience with this dealer: Vorderman is laid back, no pressure whatsoever and the single greatest vehicle purchase I've ever had with a dealership. I genuinely feel Vorderman was fair with me on the purchase price and the entire staff treated me like a person - not a number. Vorderman Volkswagen has a BEAUTIFUL showroom and a door leading to a State of the Art Volkswagen Service Center and apparently they have three Master Certified Technicians. Reading some literature on their walls I found a letter from Volkswagen Corporate stating Vorderman has earned the highest possible award from Volkswagen possible several consecutive years in a row and currently are in the Top of Volkswagen Dealers in the country. I don't often write reviews, but I felt this dealer more than earned my future business and I should take the time to mention how awesome my experience at Vorderman has been. read more

Car I wanted was listed in their inventory on their website when I left my house in Decatur today (June 30, 2018). I get halfway through Fort Wayne and the car was gone from their inventory list, totally my kinda luck. I get to the lot and it was nowhere to be found confirming it was definitely gone. Now obviously I can't blame Vorderman for that, but what I am upset about is the fact that I was expecting a salesman to come and talk to me & see what kind of deal we could make on a similar Jetta. I was there 20 minutes on the lot in the heat without so much of a "hello" from anyone. I'll just take my business elsewhere that'll want it. read more

Walked in and Dennis picked up right away that I was already a VW enthusiast; that meant he didn't hassle or bug me with silly sales pitches, but instead waited until I had any questions and then simply answered them. It was VERY low pressure and he was relaxed and easy to chat with. He didn't insist upon a ride-along test drive which made me feel more relaxed about testing out the car. The entire process was quick, painless, and full of nice joke-filled non-awkward idle conversation when waiting around at various times (credit check, paperwork, etc). Both Dennis and Naomi stayed after-hours to finish the deal and explained in great detail everything about the loan, warranty, agreements, etc. Couldn't have had a better buying experience. read more

I have been a VW owner since 2004, I bought a new 2004 Turbo S beetle (in North Carolina). I have loved that car till the day I traded it in for my 2013 Tiguan. Vorderman VW has always gone way above and beyond when it came to taking care of my bug and any needs we had. So when I was thinking about getting a new VW I went straight to Vordermans. They gave me all the information I need to make the decision to purchase my new 2013 Tiguan. It was a no pressure sale, and man did they really roll out the red carpet all the way!! I felt like a princess!!! When I say no pressure I mean NO pressure at ALL. I thought about my purchase for 2 months before I pulled the trigger. I love Vordermans!! Even though I did not buy my first VW from them they always remembered my name, took extra time to answer all my silly questions, and made sure I always felt like a valued member of the Volkswagen family. I would and do 100% recommend them to friends, family and strangers!! Thank you Vorderman for being amazing and making me feel so truly valued Keep doing what you guys (and gals) are doing, because you guys rock!!! PS I LOVE LOVE LOVE my new Tiguan!! read more

Vorderman Volkswagen is by far the best place I've been to, get a car fixed. When I bought my vehicle through them last year, I was really impressed with the amount of work and dedication their employees put into making sure I got the best car I could, and the finance department went above and beyond to help me out with affordability. When I damaged it and needed to come back in to have it serviced, the service department guys were so friendly and so ready to explain anything I wanted to know about what's going on, and what to do next for every stage of repair. Vorderman Volkswagen - Bought many cars from Ron and Alex at Vorderman. - Auto Repair Near Me - Fort Wayne, Indiana

I leased an Atlas in March 2020. This was because I was approached by a sales rep and told that my existing Tiguan lease, ending in July, qualified for a three month pull ahead incentive. The deal would cover the last three months payments on that old lease. The rep even double checked that I did only have three payments left. 6 months later, I was still receiving bills from VW. Which I had to go ahead and pay in order to not hurt my credit. VW credit claims the fine print of the deal did not include payments that had been deferred. I was not ever made aware of this by Vorderman sales rep. No clue why it would matter anyway, since three months is three months. Had I been made aware, I simply would not have turned in lease early. Very disappointed in this dealership. My husband and I contacted Ryan, Jerry, and Reg. We were told that we should have known. Which is interesting, because they claim that they did not even know. Beware. You would think this dealership and VW Credit cooperate, but they do not. They just both point fingers at each other and leave you will the bill. In this case it ended up being three months of double payments for me. Or, maybe it is they both cooperate very well making a profit for VW... We simply asked that they help cover some of the misunderstanding. Not the whole thing. Just something to show good faith since the fine print had not been made clear or even mentioned. And were told that we were greedy and were trying to play the system. Ridiculous. The customer is always wrong at Vorderman. read more

Avoid these people like the plague. My audi a8 is now ready for a 3rd transmission in 15,000 mi. They put in the first, it died and they had to replace it under warranty. The warranty just expired on the second and now a third is necessary. After a conversation with their service people, I was able to determine that they purchased the units from a company that had an F rating from the BBB. The rebuild company sells these units for right around $2000. Vorderman charged $5000 for the job. Before writing this review, I sent a letter to the owner asking for his opinion on this matter......no answer. I guess he is indifferent. There are now 3 reviews for this company, one 2 star and 2 with1 star, probably because there is nothing lower. Do business here at your own peril, you have been warned! read more

Terrible customer service. Buyer beware. Most expensive place to get work done. The work will likely not be correct too.

UPDATE: After Chad Probst and the Vorderman team learned about my recent service experience through the online reviews they immediately reached out to rectify the situation and retain me as a customer. They were very apologetic and understood where my frustration stemmed from. Vorderman has agreed to address any issues, free of charge, with my vehicle that has resulted from my recent service with them... they even gave me a loaner car for the duration of the service. If everything goes well this time around, I will be returning to Vorderman for future servicing of my GTI. read more

Initially, I avoided Vorderman's because I know dealers typically charge 30% more than any other mechanic. After a terrible experience with the only independent VW shop in town, I ran to Vorderman and was treated well. They handled my repairs promptly, offer helpful customer perks (e.g., courtesy shuttle home/back), and gave me a list of "additional suggested" maintenance that you might expect...but they were NICE about it. They weren't pushy at all, and gave me space to say, "Thanks, but not today," without any pressure. I know they are pricey, but they treated me fairly, and from what I can tell, they are the only honest VW mechanic in town....I guess I'll have to pay a premium for that in FW? read more
